This was my first time at this barber shop, and i was nervous because, i been getting my hair cut by the same person for like 5 years, and ever time i try someone new they mess my hair up, but my barber has been really busy the last 2 weeks and i really needed a hair cut so my best friend took me to his shop, and well honestly I'm not going to lie, it was a good experience, i was worried at first because everyone always mess my hair line up, but i was happy afterwords, the barber took really good care of me and he asked me questions and even asked how i was doing and where i was from and everything, i really appreciated the attention to detail and then small talk, it really made my comfortable. If you're 21+ they have beer for you, which is awesome reminds me of my home state barbershops in Portland, that was a plus for me. They play some really good movies and shows, and some good rap, i can't lie, they have good taste in music and movies! To the owner thank you so much, i really appreciate you and the attention to detail your barber gave me. I will definitely be back, God Bless you; and thank you to all of your amazing barbers. read more

I was charged $40 each child for a mediocre hair cut. Andres ripped me off for my kid's cuts. Extremely unprofessional.

They say they take walk ins but they don't. Tried to take my son and it reaked of marijuana and they acted like we were inconveniencing them by asking. They said they were too busy for a walk-in without an appointment so when I said Ok and went to walk out that's when they tried to apologize and back pedal. Too late. So we left read more

I wouldn't count on coming in as a walk-in they will turn you away I don't understand why they advertise that walk ins are welcome when they don't allow walk ins. Save yourself time and go somewhere if you don't have an appointment because this place will not cut your hair without an appointment. It's not even worth walking in and wasting your time asking for a hair cut without an appointment. The shop should just advertise as an appointment only barber shop to not waste peoples time. read more

Lala has been my go to for probably like abt 8 years now. Cant believe its been that long. Been giving her different hairstyles i would want and she always delivers. Even when i was stupid to go to another barber i immediately went straight to her to fix things so never again will i do that. Lesson learned. I'm very particular on getting a straight line up bc other barbers pushes me back but never have i had that problem with her. If you go to empire, ask for Lala...she don't miss. read more

I get my haircuts from LaLa. She does an amazing job. I don't trust anyone else with my hair cuts!

They are rip off! They do my son hair he's only 8 yrs old and they cost me for $35! Won't come back ever again better going other place only cost $20 read more

Love the environment here!! La La does amazing work with my hair as well as my two boys. In fact, she was the only person I trusted to give my 6 year old his first haircut. My 15 year old finally found his style and he is happy. Every barber says hello when you walk in and that means a ton. Get your cut here!! read more

The reviews in here are weirdddd lol. Never had a bad experience here with our barber. People are complaining that it's too expensive for a haircut, someone even wrote, "they charge like they're cutting drakes hair" lol!! If you think Drake only pays $35 for a haircut then you're funny af. If you're broke just say that lmao. Keep going to Supercuts for your $15 haircut and keep wondering why your "stylist" can't give you a fade or a hard part if that's how you'd rather have it. P.S. Go to Lala here at Empire, she's so efficient and always really nice read more

Just left this place 15 minutes ago. My 12 year old brother had an appointment at noon with Celso. We showed up 10 minutes early and right when Celso walked in, I already had a feeling that he was high (I'm very cannibus friendly, I didn't mind) My brother asked for a 3 on top, 1 on the sides. The waiting area started to fill up so after a few minutes I went to my car and when I came back in, my brother's hair was NOT what he asked for. It was a 1 on top and tapered on the sides. Oh, and he was also very unprofessional and kept texting on his phone before he started cutting my brother's hair (mind you, hella people were waiting on the couches) My little brother cried right when we got to the car. If you can't handle your weed, save the smoke sesh for after work, kid. read more

Brought my son to get a haircut here today because I couldn't make it to his normal barber. Walked in. Not welcoming at all. I did not have an appointment but she was able to help me. Everyone else that walked in was turned away so I guess we got lucky. She cut his hair in about 20 mins which is the fastest haircut he has ever had from a professional barber. When done I looked at him closer. It was not what I expected. The blend is not there. And what even worse is that the girl charged me $35 dollars for his cut. Prior to her telling me the price, another barber told someone $25 for a kids cut. I don't see why the big difference. $35 DOLLARS FOR A KIDS CUT???? Wow. Can't say I will be returning. The girl didn't even appreciate the client. No thank you after paying. She just walked off. Overall not a good experience! read more

1. Too expensive for the skill sets they carry. I have never paid separate for a line clean up and they charge 5$ just for that and beard is 15$ In Ontario? LOL 2. I don't understand why is the place called "barber shop" when the people don't know how to use razor. 3. This is specific to my individual (can not call him a barber) was not gentle. I came out with some cuts on my skin. 4. Never returning to these guys. read more

Do not go here if you want to get a decent haircut!!!! Save your money and read the review! We decided to try this new place an what a disappointment, this place was bust!!!! First of all never did my son nor would he ever ask for someone to shave his forehead let alone part of his eyebrow. Why in the world would you put a blade to a kid's face without even asking if that is what they want. You can not assume that everyone likes this look, and how do tell the so called "barber" to stop once the started shaving all while being rough. To top it off it's it even centered, he took way to much off on one side. The right side way off! Never going back!!! Enter at your own risk, I wouldn't even give it one star! Where did they buy their license?! read more

horrible experience went to this place with high expectations since I just moved to chino it was the closest one to me. I came from orange county and the barbers there would never let me walk out of the chair looking like I do now. the barber I got went by salsa well this Sunday he sure didn't have the sauce wouldn't go back with him ever. never mind I'll give him one more chance to redeem him self by reaching out to me and fixing hes fucked up hair cut. and what really sucks is that I'm sure he knew he fucked up my hair since he didn't give me the mirror to really look at the back. and 20 bucks isn't much but tipped him pretty good I'm sure better then all hes other clients. so I'm hoping for a call or message to come back and fix the fucked cut I received. read more

I have been coming to this place for over a year. Mainly due to the convenience aspect as it is close to home. I have tried both appointments and walk-ins. Appointments were convenient however there were several times I walked in 5 min before the appointment and would still wait 15 min or more. So felt as the extra fee wasn't warranted. Walk-ins are the worst, the wait can be easily be over an hour on a weekday as there are so many "appointments" and they get a priority. So on a Friday or Saturday you can expect much worst. As far as barbers, the cuts are good. Just need a better system with appointment and walk-ins. Out of 20 plus times there I've done about half and half and my experience with the wait time had been poor to fair. Time to try new shops in the area. About done giving it an extra shot. Every time. read more

I have taken my son here a couple of times just because the location was convenient. The employees act like elitists, too good to talk to you unless you are a buddy of theirs. They spend a lot of time grooming themselves in front of their mirrors. There isn't anything special about this shop. It has the typical decor. These shops are a dime a dozen. The last time we just walked in and I asked if anyone would be able to cut my son's hair before they closed, if not I would come back. They all just looked at me vacantly. One guy finally said yeah. 30 minutes later he comes up to me and told me the haircut would be $30 because it would be "after hour pricing" and that I might want to come back when they open tomorrow. I wouldn't have been irritated had he told me that when I first asked rather than 30 minutes later. Never going back there. read more

Insanely over priced. And I mean insanely. 3 hair cuts= $95. 2 kids comb over cuts and 1 adult mid fade w/ beard trim and line up. How was that $95? I pay half this with my regular barber and he does a much better job. Did we just get cut up by Drake's barber???? Ain't even my usual barber but since it was the only shop opened and We needed cuts ASAP we had to come. Rather not get a cut than to come here again. read more

I've been here a few times now, but this past experience was probably my last. Maybe I'm more aware of these things now that I'm a dad, but it's just too much of an "in the club" environment. If the barbers spent less time goofing off with each other, smoking weed in the back, and "trying to find their jam" then perhaps a simple line up wouldn't take 45 minutes. I know they're smoking weed out back because my barber's hands were definitely not clean. I understand it's legal, but you're responsible for cleanliness...rubber gloves aren't going to cover it all. This might be a cool place for high school kids and 20 year olds, but I'm going to pass from now on. Sloppy work, overpriced, and the environment is just not my thing. I would NEVER bring my son here with the language and noise getting pumped through the speakers. Yes, it's a pretty tidy shop for the most part; it's too bad how dirty the language is. I'm going to pass from now on... read more

This barber shop is top notch really relaxed environment and very attentive to the clients. I gotta give a shout out to Roxanne she's an amazing barber always takes her time, and figures out what style your after and always achieves it! One of the best barbers I've been cut by! Three hours and counting for a haircut, people walk in without an appointment. This place is no good

I highly recommend this place. I see Victor and he does an excellent job on my hair. My wife won't let me go anywhere else now. I have not witnessed the bad things some of the Yelpers have said. As a matter of fact, I have witnessed more than one police officer get there haircuts there. I haven't smelled weed and I have not seen them on their phones excessively. They do play some loud music in there and I have heard very few songs with curse words in them. I noticed they do play some good movies on big screens in the shop. The owner of the shop has tattoos on his face, but he is a very nice guy. He might scare some people, but when you talk to him he is a really nice guy. They give candies out for everyone and they do have complimentary beers and soda. I see kids in there all the time and never saw any issues. Make sure to pay attention to the reviews and you will see that often times on Yelp it has to do with wait times, etc., but nothing to do with the quality of the cut. I would recommend you get one of the barbers in there you like and get their business card. Call them and make an appointment so you never have to wait long. Haircuts are 17 for kids and 20 for adults. They give military and student discounts. They do have a female barber in there who may cut females too. read more

I don't know the owner is but they need to have some customer service skills in this place. I understand the meaning of doing a walk in however, it does not mean your team continues to joking around and be on their cell phones when there are 6 people waiting for a hair cut? They all need to stop joking around and get the clippers moving. Horrible service zero costumer service acknowledgment. Never coming here... read more

This establishment claims to take "walk-ins". I was on a time crunch, and decided on this place. They open at 9AM on weekdays. I walked in at 9:40AM (Wednesday). No clients seated in the chairs, waiting, or signed in for service. There's one barber at his station in the front, and someone can be heard in the back. I signed in, waiting to be serviced. The entire time, the barber was fixed on his phone, and periodically carrying random conversations, directed at the person in the back; not once was I acknowledged. At 10:01AM, I got up to cross my name off of the list. It wasn't until I started walking out, that the employe asked: "You waiting for someone, bro?". I politely responded, "No, but, I'm good". I spent the next 10 minutes in the parking lot, searching for another shop elsewhere; no one walked into the shop after I'd left. This service, or LACK thereof, is unacceptable. I won't be returning. read more

Great barbers but you cant trust their schedule. Rushed over as they closed at 8 pm...got there at 740 and they were gone. That's the only issue I have with them. I've been there on a sunday before and they start telling no to customers around 2. Even though posted close time is 3 read more

Awesome experience!! I freaking love this place. I just had an hour lunch for work and decided to get a quick haircut. So Cooper gave me a really nice clean cut! I love it. Honestly it's better than the other barber shop I go in riverside and for $20 can't beat it! Now my coworker was there with me and they all thought she was my gf unfortunately that's not that case. Haha but he gave me this awesome haircut and a huge confidence booster she changed her mind haha! Thanks everybody it was a great experience at this shop will definitely come back again! read more

Honestly I'm not sure what the issue is here . They seem to have a some what decent set up here how ever the barber skills just aren't there or I don't know what it is.
