This is my puppy's first bath and trim (he was about 5 months old). Him being a shih Tzu- I intend to keep his fur long as I do not like the "teddy bear short cut look". Scheduling: Appt scheduling was very simple. Staff was very nice. Appearance: Upon arriving, It can be a little confusing as the sign is not lit up. It's a little past the opening where the Home Store is so be aware to keep going! Inside, it smelled like a old dogs inn. Just like a dog. Didn't feel the clean spa- like feeling I thought I would get. Staff: The staff were not masked, but still nice. I just want to say Lindsay was sooo sweet! The sweetest. Explained things in good detail and really nice. Experience: I asked them to let me know if there were any issues as he is a very scary pup. She told me she would try to save some of his fur as there was a mention it was matted pretty bad. He was shaved balled. My mom picked him up as I was at another appt and she said they kept apologizing and saying "he's alright". He wound up having really bad diarrhea for a few days and when I took him to the vet, they mentioned it was bacteria. It could have came from anywhere but he's not around any other dogs, and thought it was funny he got it right after coming home. I'm thinking because the place was not as clean as I'd hope. They were also a little pricey. The rate was higher than my neighbors who has a Yorkie. In addition, with the extra vet bill,this grooming costs me over $140 so I will mostlikely be searching for a new one. Two days into his stay we got a call that his rear leg was swollen and he needed to be taken to the vet. We asked them to proceed since we were out of town and couldn't get him there right away. Less than twelve hours later we had a diagnosis of a spider bite that then turned into a palm size necrosis and ended with a large open wound which required a week stay at the vet and then had to be treated daily for treatments and bandage changes for 6 weeks. $$$$. When I called to inform the owners, Ed and Joan of the diagnosis and treatment to come I was met with the most cold, careless response I could have ever imagined. There was no responsibility taken and they never once asked how they could help. Monetarily or otherwise. I am fully aware this could have happened anywhere, but the customer service at this place is less than ideal.

Lawrenceville pet owners -- PLEASE READ before boarding at PetSuites Lawrenceville…read more My puppy was seriously hurt while staying there. I got a TEXT at 7:15pm during the boarding stay telling me my puppy had a small gash near her nose. The facility stated they would be keeping a close eye on her and if I wanted, they could take her to the vet the next morning. I informed PetSuites to take her to the vet since the incident occurred while in their care. The vet called me to let me know my puppy would need surgery which required 12 stitches to close (see picture of injury below). After not hearing from PetSuites Lawrenceville, I went to the facility to talk to them and to request an incident report. PetSuites Lawrenceville admitted the potty run area had fencing/locks with bolts that stick out on the inside of the potty run and that they were working on sourcing rubber caps for the area to prevent anything like what happened to my puppy occurring in the future. I sent PetSuites of America, the registered agent, a notice of demand to cover the costs of surgery and medication. After the demand, I filed a small claims complaint which was served to their corporate office and they also failed to respond. The most heartbreaking part is that PetSuites of America failed to satisfy my claim and never asked how my puppy was doing after her surgery. I was eventually awarded judgment against them by the magistrate court. I trusted PetSuites Lawrenceville with my family member and they let me down in the worst way. This facility is entrusted with the safety of your animals. They failed mine -- and then refused to own it. I don't want this to happen to anyone else's pet. Please share this so other pet owners in the Lawrenceville area can make an informed decision before leaving their animals at PetSuites Lawrenceville facility.
