The building is very small if that matters to you. It had a odd smell also like it was old. The food was okay, but not good enough for me to want to go back. They first brought out this soup and the liquid in it was like fat that was a little thinner than jello. It was kind of gross really, I tried it but I just couldn't eat anything with that consistence. I had the fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. It was only okay. Not really good flavor but it filled a hold in my belly. The price was low enough and the waitress was nice. I didn't get sick or even an upset stomach. There are much better places out there. So the first time I ate here it was great. The food was fresh, flavorful and filled me up. The second time, it was just as good. After that, it was never the same...I tried different things, mind you, but the quality was nothing like I had the first two times. Sweet and Sour Chicken is pretty much the only thing that tastes the same every time - although the sauce is sometimes a bit different. And their fried rice is GROSS. Just go with the white if you happen to eat there. And avoid the broccoli beef and honey chicken/prawns at all costs!!! They have large portions, the staff is nice and the food is hit or miss. WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE. READ MY FULL STORY. On May 20th, I called Emperor's Palace at about 8:15pm to order food to go. When ordering, I always make sure to list the 3 items I like to eat, and tell them that I will pay whatever combination price they deem necessary to adjust the pre determined combos to meet what I want. They have a lunch special that's exactly what I eat, so we normally base it off that, but charge a dinner price. I have been doing this off and on for years with no problems. I called in my order, and a young man answered. I proceeded to tell him what I wanted and made the 3 items I wanted very clear. Pork fried rice, pork chow mein, breaded almond chicken. I said it several times (I have my brother as my witness!) and he kept saying yes yes, no problem, it'd be ready in 10 mins. Well, I show up and ask for my almond chicken order and they can't find it, this is about 8:30. They finally get the young man who took my order, and he finds the correct bag. At this point, I'm concerned it's not correct since they couldn't find it under my name or the main protein. I ask them to open the container and inside is a small portion of almond chicken, sweet and sour pork, pork fried rice, and chicken chow mein with zucchini, peas, and mushrooms. Definitely not what I ordered. I spend a few minutes explaining that it wasn't what I ordered, which it most definitely was not. They agree to make a new batch of what I had ordered and its now about 8:45. I wait for the corrected order and when it comes out, ask to check it again. She rings me up, $19.08. I ask, "will I not get a discount for the incorrect order and waiting? I'll talk to the manager." The owner/manager comes out, says nothing to me, takes the food, waves, and as he walks away calls out something along the lines of "we no serve you." So after an incorrect order and an extra 30 minutes, I walked out with absolutely no food. In my experience, most restaurants are more than willing to fix their error and discount your food for any inconvenience. All I got was a rude staff and an even ruder manager. I love their food and pretty much don't go anywhere else in Bremerton for Chinese. Now I'll have to find a new place to go. read more

I've been here 3 times throughout the years, and I'm just not a fan. Reasons: The service is very bad. The first time I was here I ordered the General Tso's chicken and it had a taste of plastic. Others tried it and agreed, but when we mentioned it I believe the owner at the time or maybe the manager told us we were wrong and it didn't taste weird at all. .. Okay. Thanks for being rude and unhelpful? Another time they treated me and my friend like we couldn't pay for the food. Not nice! This has always been my go-to since I was a kid. My favorite dish is their Almond Fried Chicken. A restaurant or two has come close but you can't top their version. If you haven't tried it, you should! Who doesn't like fried chicken and gravy? It's just on a whole other level of delicious! Their Sweet and Sour Chicken/Pork, Chicken Chow Mein and Egg Foo Young is also on my list of must-tries! You're missing out if you don't give this restaurant a visit. They're old school and they've kept their recipes the same for years. Don't ever judge a book by its cover! Have been coming to this family-owned gem for years. It's always been fantastic and you would be hard-pressed to find anything better in Kitsap County. The BBQ Pork is amazing as is the Fried Garlic Wings and that's just the appetizers. The Wonton Soup is a meal in itself. My husband and I order the bacon fried rice every other weekend and it's the best you'll ever put in your mouth. It's always that, two orders of crab cream cheese wontons and a large BBQ pork wonton soup. We get a ton of food and it's under $30 and always have leftovers for that middle of the night snack. Truthfully, I came here to place a to-go order, looked at the menu at one of their combination meals (#2 to be exact) and asked if the sweet and sour pork could be changed to chicken, they told me no. Which is completely fine, we just switched to a different combination meal. I went out to my car to wait because they told me it'd be about 20 minutes for the food and I asked if I needed to pay now or if I should wait. The hostess at the front told me to wait so I told her I'd be out in my car right outside. I went out to my car and the hostess then walked out and asked me if I was paying with cash or card.. overall it was a very rude exchange between the server working and the hostess. Thee worst Chinese food I have ever had. Chinese owners apparently don't understand how first impressions make or break you. It's obvious that they don't want to put any money into their restaurants because they're always falling apart. I almost didn't give this place a try due to the negative ratings but I'm so glad we did. We've eaten there twice and have been very pleased. We're a family of 4 so we ordered several items to share and it was all great. Our favorite is the Sesame Tofu. I stopped by mostly because I couldn't remember the last time I had been there. I'd seen some bad reviews and didn't really remember it being that bad, so I figured why not. Well, I remember why not now. The dining room was sort of dirty, table sticky, and spoon dirty. Not a great start. I ordered up some Veggie Lo Mein which came out in about 2 minutes. Suspiciously fast. It would have been nice if it came out a few minutes later and they used that time to add something like spice or flavor, because all I got was a bland ball of grease and noodle that I could have done better at home. I'm from out of town & I was looking for a place that I could pick up an order, but it was getting late, and they are pulling up the sidewalks here at 8:45pm in Bremerton. So I call the only Asian place that I find in Yelp. This one had some good reviews, So after driving around I gives them a call. Lady was extremely helpful and after a few minutes, she figures I'm going the wrong direction. I get turned around and she is able to get me some food, (to-go). Really friendly, and plenty of food. No chop-sticks (round eyes usually don't get, unless they ask). I wasnt crazy about the sauce, but thats my bad. All in all, for $15.00 I had enough for 2 nights. Not too bad read more

The owners are always kind and often come out from the kitchen to greet customers and to make sure everything is ok.
