This food truck was at my apartment complex last night and I always try to support the food trucks that are here. Last night I preordered a meal via streetfoodfinder.com. I set the pickup time as 5:00. It was not ready when I walked up at a few minutes to 5, as they said the order just came through. It did take only a few minutes. I had a shredded chicken empanada ($9), a side of rice and beans ($6), and an extra of both sauces at $1.00 each. I spent about $22 with tip. While waiting, I saw on their sidewalk board signs there is a combo of just what I ordered for $9. What? I didn't ask but will in the future. Maybe it is a smaller portion? I looked at their menu on streetfinder again and there is a combo listed for $15, which is one empanada with a sauce and 2 sides. I would order the combo if there is a next time. Both items tasted really good. I did think the spicy cilantro sauce was too spicy for my taste. I don't normally like spicy stuff, but sometimes I can handle it fine. Empanadas were fried which was a plus. Not a lot of meat for the price. Rice seemed to be an afterthought . The empanadas I'm used to have a more doughy texture. The casing reminded me of a fried wonton. Not what I expected and was really in the mood for a more familiar empanada. The menu is a little confusing as well. Seeing the truck got me excited. I don't know where to begin. I ordered the cheeseburger empanada and my girl order the chicken fajita. Mine was a HUGE thing of grease. Grease was pouring out. It was gross. Please don't come here. I am very dissatisfied with my purchase from empanada and more food truck. The first thing I noticed when opening my box of food was that they were very stingy with the French fries. I received a very small amount of what looked like crumbs, for the price. They were also very stingy with the sauce, filling it up only half way for all of the orders. After spending $70, I am very disappointed and will never go back. Food is not as described on their menu. For the food, 1 star. The menu describes the empanadas as having the meat, minced garlic, and herbs inside. What I actually got was one empanada and one open empanada both of which only had meat, nothing else. The rice and beans were were also cold and clumpy. For service, also 1 star. My order was placed and accepted 40 minutes ahead of time and was still more than 10 minutes late being ready despite no other customers even being around the truck. Rice was dry and unflavored, the Cheesesteak Empanada had a weird after taste and low on filling (3 pieces of small steak and one pepper) ingredients. This all left me to only eating a few bites (especially due to the weird taste) and disposing of roughly 80% of the remainder of the meal.​ The highlight was fries, but not the main dish. I have been wanting to try this food truck for quite some time, when I finally did yesterday evening, I was very excited to only be disappointed, let's get to the food. Ultimate Combo The chicken empanada was not the star dish, the chicken was overcooked and extremely salty, the rice and peas had a good texture, perfectly seasoned , yet sort of dry. The salad was just that, a salad, nothing fancy, and it was close to being a day old, with a lot of brown edges. My recommendation: The should have put more thought into, add some color, cilantro avocado, sliced tomatoes, would have been great. Lastly, the plantains were the best :) absolutely no complaints, caramelize and tasted perfectly . I had high hopes for the empanadas sucks they were horrible. read more

Absolutely Terrible: After having empanadas in Puerto Rico I was excited to see this at the food truck rally in Detroit today. What a disappointment. Thought I ordered 2 orders of the single combo +extra empanada (which is a dumb name to begin with, just call it a double empanada) charged $24. Now mind you there are no prices on there menu and they weren't accepting the coupons that they had a sign in the window of the truck saying they were accepting. Received order and said we're missing an order and the girl said oh ok we will make it right away. She then gives me an order of plantains. I asked where the other order was and she says that's it. An Empanada and plantains costs $12.00 and an extra empanada costs $9.00. $9.00 for an empanada? Are you kidding me? Told her to forget it. The Chorizo empanada was awful. It was completely green inside and so salty it was inedible. Looked like it was all sofrito and no chorizo. Service and food awful. They were out of beef empanadas 2 hours into the event. Pleasantly surprised by this place. Could just be me, but when I see this food truck again, I'm gettin it fo sho. I asked the girl working the truck, what's their most popular Empanada? She advised it was the Cheeseburger Empanada, so that's what I got. I liked it and want some mo. The empanadas are 7 inches long for reference. I didn't have a ruler to measure, so I took their word for it. I got the Sweet Plantains as my side and wanted some mo of that as well. I'll open with the fact that I enjoyed the food. Had the chorizo empanada and it was light and fluffy with a good spice. It was conveniently located outside the new Olentangy River Brewing company. The owner was really nice and friendly, came in to see how we liked it. The fries were over seasoned and the price point was a little high for the amount of food you get. read more

First time trying this at my job. Perhaps they were having an off couple of hours because this was not very tasty or flavorful at all. Some of the driest bean and rice I have ever had and the empananda was greasy and bland. It's unfortunate that you only have one time to make a good first impression because this was horrid. Love the food from this food truck. Moving from Texas I haven't been impressed by the quality of food here in Columbus (sorry if that offends anyone), especially the Latin or Mexican food. But I can't say I haven't been impressed by the food from Empanadas and More. Every empanadas I've tried (and I've tried most of the 10 or so) have been great. Add some of the spicy cilantro and special red sauce and BAM it's fantastic! I know most of the reviews on here are regarding the cost but I don't mind paying for quality food. I mean, we not ordering at the McDonald's drive thru window for goodness sakes. I've seen the owner freshly preparing food for customers himself on multiple occasions and that goes a long way into showing the effort that goes into their food and making sure their customers are satisfied. Just try the empanadas yourself and hopefully you'll see that you're paying for quality food and enjoy it as much as I do. read more

Terrible. The flavor was like burnt plastic from the grease. Beside the meat was very salty. I hate to waist the money in bad food.

It was a $6 meal (at best) for $15 dollars. Gave us (& charged us) for an extra empanada, got the ground beef one (was supposed to have cheese but didn't) and chicken one. When eating the chicken one, had to get 3/4 of the wat through it before you got any cheese. The rice & beans was less than a hand full as a serving & there were exactly 2 beans in it. I am disappointed this food truck took my order at least an hour in advance, texted the order was running 30 minutes behind, texted me the order was ready, but when I went to the truck was notified order still wasn't ready. Waited another 20 minutes by the truck, was then called over and told my order was canceled because they ran out of food. It was 7:15 and I had no dinner for me or my kids. This is unacceptable. I was given the excuse they only were notified of this location that afternoon. This food truck was in our neighborhood tonight. I almost didn't order based on the other reviews. That would have been a huge mistake. Their empanadas are good and good sized. The spicy cilantro sauce is fantastic. I would put it on anything. I had the chicken empanada and the chorizo empanada. Chicken was OK. It really benefited from the cilantro sauce. Took a trip out for lunch and this truck caught my eye. The food I had was great. The cheesesteak empanada was the clear winner for me. It was nice and crispy on the outside. without being greasy. The yellow rice and beans for a side were nice and light to balance put the empanadas. The pink sauce and cilantro sauce were both great additions. I'd actually picked up O'Charleys to go, and had just finished dropping off dinner for my mom & heading home when I noticed the "Empanadas and More" food truck in her community. Obviously I had to investigate, because EMPANADAS! I'm so glad I did. The truck was clean, the owner, Will, was so personable, but most importantly the food is BEYOND DELICIOUS. I got the shredded chicken empanada with sweet plantains, and OMG...so good! And the sauces were crazy flavorful. I'll be honest, I stuck my finger in the cup to get the last drop; it was that good. The quality of the food is good, but this food truck has had multiple price increases to the point to where it isn't worth it. At the time of this review, $6 for one taco-sized empanada! One is not enough for a meal so you're looking at a $12 lunch for less food than you'll get anywhere else for the same price. read more

Slow service. Extremely rude. There was a truck right next to this one that was serving people much faster. When I ordered only a drink after waiting over 30 minutes in line, I was told I'd have to wait to be handed my bottled coke. Food from a food truck has to be fast. You shouldn't have to wait 30 minutes or more. And if you do (which you shouldn't) the food better be hot. In short, awful, overpriced, don't waste your money. read more
