Such good affordable food Such personal and friendly service. Such a cool food truck. I must have driven by this food truck a hundred times and not seen it. But once I found it, I have been by two more times. Plenty of parking. Service (by the owner) is amazing. But the food: Empanadas are the way to go, but there are other options. Tomato and Mozzarella Empanada - sublime. Spinach Empanada - solid choice, I just love the tomato and mozzarella better. Chicken - good, but look for specials Burnt Ends - wowza, really unique a d delicious. Strawberries and Cream - another one of that is delicious and inventive. Run don't walk, Empanada are only $4 each at this time.

Empanada Lady Food truck hit the spot on the beautiful, sunny Sunday! Some friends had recommended I check them out so we found them at their usual spot on San Jose Blvd. They opened promptly at 10am. At first glance, the truck is so cute. I appreciate a good graphic design. It was on their truck and packaging. I was greeted by a friendly face. She was helpful in describing the day's specials. We ordered a boxful of savory and sweet empanadas: Beef, seasoned to absolute perfection! Shredded chicken, with onions and peppers. Hot and juicy! I always have to try the meatless option.. Spinach and cheese was great. The street corn empanada was one of my faves! And the guava and cheese satisfied my sweet tooth. Delicious! We waited a few minutes, as we were told they were cooked to order. Fresh and hot! There was one covered picnic table. We came with my pup so we just parked the car and opened the back for an impromptu parking lot picnic. It was awesome! There was also a local artist, selling paintings so that was nice to see as well. Can't wait to try the Sausage & plantain and strawberries & cream next time. Thank you for an outstanding experience!

Those 'nadas are worth mentioning. I got a trio of tomato and mozzarella, buffalo chicken, and beef. The first two are the owner's fave (and mine too), although the beef is a top seller. I think people get what's familiar, because that tomato mozzarella was incredible! The buffalo chicken was tender, seasoned well and had a nice kick.

Absolutely some of the Best Empanadas in Jacksonville and Such an eclectic selection of Flavors for both savory and sweet. The Owner Cinthy is the friendliest person and put all her love into making her Hand-made Empanadas to serve them hot & fresh. Check her social media for her schedule changes and menu specials that tend to change weekly. Once you try her Empanadas, you'll compare every other Empanada to The Empanada Lady! The Owner & Family are so friendly. She really has a skill on making some delicious homemade Empanadas. Make sure if you're in Jax,Fl. You stop by. She is usually set up on San Jose Blvd. Big parking lot the Bealls Store was in, so lots of parking cute little sitting area to enjoy your food. Also make sure to follow her as she does set up in different locations. Support Small Businesses. Eat Empanadas

Amazing empanadas and friendly service every time! The San Jose location during the week is very convenient for lunch on the go and has become a weekly stop for me.

Chicken fricasse bowl: I'm glad I got this with the onions and cilantro as well. In fact, for my taste buds, I wish I had more of both. The sauce on the chicken is nice. I actually wish this was even wetter because the beans are pretty strong; some salsa or sour cream would be excellent. Cuban: It's solid, but I've had quite a few Cuban sandwiches in town now. There's nothing particularly noteworthy about this one. Slushee: ........okay, this sounds bad, but the Miami Vice slushee stood out the most to me. It was too hot (what am I saying? It's too hot every day in this state. God, I want to move back somewhere with actual seasons). *ahem* Like, the consistency of the ice was so perfect. And the huge straw allows you to drink it without any logistics. And it's sweet, but has this subtle aftertaste that prevents it from being too sweet. My dear reader, you deserve a slushee.

I ordered the following: Pulled Pork Bowl (5/5): Tasty, authentic, flavorful. This is a must get if you ever want to try an item on their menu. Cuban Sandwich (3/5): While I've had and tried many Cuban Sandwiches, this one did not do it for me. It was just average in my opinion. Sweet Baked Plantains (5/5): The word "baked" definitely drew my attention to try this side. Additionally I really love Sweet Plantains, but most of them are fried. Those extra calories from frying really goes straight to my hips, so being baked is a nice alternative healthy option. Not a bad experience overall. Will try again whenever they are in the area. #SupportLocal

Honestly, Diana's is what put me on to great Mexican food. I've eaten at other restaurants with really good dishes, but this truck still holds the #1 spot for me. The only downside (and it's not the food!) is the inconsistency of their hours. I never really know when they'll be open. More than once, I've driven out (totally worth the drive) only to find them closed. It would be nice if they had posted hours or even a number to call. But here's the thing: I still take my chances, because when Diana is there, the food is 100% worth it. And beyond the food, Diana herself is so kind, whenever she sees my kids, she gives them a little something for free, whether it's a drink or candy. That small gesture makes us feel like family. Highly recommend! Check this food truck out! SN: They have a little seating area. No frills. I always pick up and go. But if you choose, take a seat and stay.

My go-to items are the Mexican tacos, tortas, and nachos. My wife is all about the Cali burrito, and the kids stick with the burger. The only downside is the inconsistency. Sometimes they're closed when you expect them to be open, and lately it hasn't always been the original cooks, which makes a difference in the food quality. We ordered the samba plate, which allows you to pick any 3 meats, so we selected picanha (cooked rare), shrimp, and sausage. Unfortunately, the steak ended up being closer to well done by the time we made it back to the house, but I think that's just the cost of taking steak to-go, and not necessarily the fault of the restaurant or chef since it's natural for it to continue cooking inside of the styrofoam box. Temperature aside, the flavor and quality of the meat was great, and you receive a very generous portion for the price. Along with the samba plate, we ordered steak fries and empanadas. Although the steak fries were pretty plain.. basically just steak plopped on top of fries, they were delicious, especially with the creamy herb sauce that is served with them. The empanadas were ginormous, and I like that the dough almost flaky rather than being super thick. We were very pleased with Brazilicious and will definitely hit them up again next time!
