First things first, when I saw the menu prices, I was a bit thrown off. $10 for one empanada and $20 for a meal with empanada, rice, beans and plantains. I will however, make it known that you can taste the freshness that comes with the price. The food is incredibly flavorful. I chose the traditional beef empanada with red beans, and rice and peas. It arrived quickly and was hot. The portions are large so you do get a good amount of food for the price. Service was top notch from the moment I walked through the door. You're able to sit wherever you choose and they come serve you. There is also a drive though and take out option. The inside is spacious and decorated nicely. I would recommend trying them out for the flavor and food, just be aware of the price if you aren't prepared to pay $20,plus tip for a meal.

I came here on a whim after receiving something in the mail. I wasn't expecting much when I was driving there, but this place blew my expectations out of the water. The building is a lot bigger than what I was expecting. The inside looked extremely welcoming, like a mix between a family room and coffee shop/restaurant. The decorations were really nice and the seating was ample and comfortable. Every bite of food I had was better than the last. From the plantains, to the beans, to the rice - everything was cooked to perfection and had the perfect amount of seasoning. They had a special oxtail empanada when I was there and it was one of the best empanadas I've ever had. The shell was crispy and the oxtail was so tender and flavorful. I'm not even much of a coffee drinker and I couldn't get enough of the Cafe De Olla latte. I will definitely be back!

I came back to try the white chocolate tres leches chai latte. It was very sweet and creamy! After adding an extra shot of espresso at home, it was perfect! P.S. I just needed an extra kick after my work day, I'm sure they would've made that adjustment had I thought to ask. I'll definitely be back to try more!

Overall I'd say the empanadas are pretty decent. As a Dominican, and someone who grew up in Miami, I feel as if the empanadas are lacking the Hispanic flavor I was hoping for. My husband ordered a spicy chicken and cheese empanada and he said it was just shredded chicken with buffalo sauce, no cheese and it was missing the chiles (as it read on the menu). The sauce it came with did not remind me of anything Hispanic, it tasted very American and smoky. Was hoping more for a Chimichurri, Garlic Aioli, Salsa Verde, or a Cilantro-Lime sauce. Those sauces are more typical for what pairs with an empanada. The breading is also very different than a typical empanada, they're usually made with a pastry dough which caught me off guard, along with the seasonings on top. I've never seen a empanada with seasoning. I also feel like the side for the empanadas should be rice or like a pico de gallo. Having an empanada with fried chips is just a lot. It would have been nice to have something to offset that. My husband enjoyed his chips, but for me, it was just a little too much, I didn't eat any of mine. If the motive is to make this an Americanized take on empanadas then they're good, but we were expecting more Latin flavors especially since they have sweet plantains, beans and rice on the menu. It felt a bit confused but it tasted good, we had no complaints about that, just wished it was more authentic to the Hispanic culture. I'm very excited to have this nearby my house, we have been looking forward to something new coming into the space. When we went the service was fast, the place was busy and the atmosphere felt family friendly. I only wish this business best of luck and hope they succeed!

    Shrimp mofongo and empanada

Came here for a tasting event this evening and got to try several different dishes. The first dish was by far my favorite the shrimp mofongo was amazing. Smashed plantains with Avacado and shrimp on top. Omg yummmm! Also got to try mini empanadas and chicken with rice and beans. Both of these were also delicious but the shrimp Mofongo stole the show. I also ordered coconut Café latte and will be saving that for breakfast tomorrow. So good! The inside of restaurant is so cozy and inviting. They have tables and couches with board games as well! Staff was amazing and attentive. They made sure we're taken care of all night.

Food **** Service ****** Ambiance ***** I had lunch. Beef empanada. Flavorful and authentic. The interior reminded me of the small alcove eateries of Old San Juan. It is a limited menu and i had so hoped for alcalpurias and penir but this is somewhat more complex for a converted drive thru definately recommend for lunch and small dining sweet plaintains exceptional

After trying Empanada grill for a Yelp event, we had to come back since the food was so good! On our most recent visit I ordered a beef and a chicken empanada. They were both delicious. I really like how they season the outside of the empanada. They are perfectly crispy and came out hot and fresh. I was only able to eat about half of each empanada and they come with chips so it was a lot of food. So I'd suggest just ordering one empanada. They also have a combo that comes with rice and beans. My boyfriend got this and the rice and beans were so flavorful! The staff were very friendly and attentive. The dining space is nice and open but with a cozy vibe. Also, their coffees are so good here! We got the tres leches and Dulce de leche lattes and they were so yummy! They have breakfast empanadas too so we might have to come back and try those!

I met a couple friends here for lunch and it was a great experience. They've done an awesome job with the decor and seating. There's a cute little kids area, comfy chairs, great lighting. I got the beef and cheese empanada with house and my friend let me try the plantains she ordered. Everything was delicious!! One of my favorite parts was the sauce that comes with empanada. The service was great. The two employees I interacted with there were both so friendly and welcoming. We got our food really quickly too. They also have a breakfast menu that is served before 11:00 a.m. and sounds delicious. I definitely plan to come back to check out breakfast!

I got the regular chicken empanada with home made chips. The empanada was great but my sauce was missing so that was a bummer cause I am sure the sauce makes it even better. I do wish the chips were a little softer. The service was fast and friendly. Very nice clean space inside. I'm excited this is here and I will be back.

I had to come back and bring my fiancé this time and he enjoyed it as well. You can't go wrong with anything to be honest. I switched it up and tried the white rice, black beans, and the traditional beef empanadas. All goooood!!

So first of all let me start by saying I was a little bit surprised that a new restaurant had finally opened in this location. We are out by the airport and I wouldn't have expected a restaurant such as this to open here but I'm so thankful that it has. We got some takeout last night and brought it home we had one of the traditional empanadas one of the spicy chicken empanadas rice and beans and also an order of the guava empanada dessert. I will go on the record and say that everything was phenomenal but to me the brightest star we're the beans. In typical Central American or Caribbean food you're used to red beans and rice and yes the rice was perfect and these were red beans but they were filled with chunks of awesomeness and deliciousness like I have never tasted before. Both the empanadas were stuffed full of meat and very flavorful. It is evident that the dough is made everyday and hand formed into these delicious meat pockets. I especially liked that after them being fried they were dusted with some spices and also some granulated salt. The homemade chips that come with the $10 empanada meal we're very good. I would have liked for them to have been a little bit warmer but again when you bring food home it generally cools off pretty rapidly. The mini guava empanadas were absolutely delicious. I love a good guava dessert these were filled obviously with guava and a surprise chunk of cream cheese and we're just very delightful. One of the things that I really appreciated about the empanadas was that even though they are fried the outer shell was crispy but inside the dough was very fluffy and not just like eating crackers. We are looking forward to frequenting this restaurant as it is only about 2 mi from our house and I hope that the surrounding area supports it heavily because it would be a shame for this place to not be around for a long time.

Really enjoyed our empanadas today from Empanada Grill at the Yelp and City Kitch Tastes & Treats of the Triad Food Truck Rally, today. We got to sample the beef and cheese and the spicy chicken. So good we went back for more. Our second round we tried the tomato, spinach, and feta and for our sweet craving we tried the caramel apple, DELICIOUS! Friendly service, too! Definitely a must try if you haven't! Sanitation grade is 97.5. Bring that grade up a few points and it would definitely be 5 stars from me!

    Mika P.

I've been here theee times now and love the food! I always get the veggie empanada platter with yellow rice and black beans. It's delicious. The portion size is more than I can eat in one sitting! I'm doing 4 stars because the service can be a little slow but it doesn't take away from the taste of the food!

At both locations, you're not just grabbing food, you're getting a whole experience! Plenty of parking, plenty of seating, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Live music, dog friendly. The menu is simple, affordable, and done right. We got to try 4 different tacos, their queso dip, and their churros, and everything delicious! The meat was seasoned to perfection, super juicy, and full of flavor without being overcomplicated. But what really made this experience unforgettable? I got invited onto the truck to make my own churros!! let me tell you, that is not something you get to do every day. It was hands-on, fun, and honestly one of the most unique experiences I've had, collaborating with another business. Her food truck runs on biofuel, the food containers are biodegradable and sourced from World Centric Zero Waste Solutions, and the ingredients are sourced as locally as possible. The food truck is parked for lunch at the Greensboro Farmer's Curb Market on Yanceyville St. until 1pm each Wednesday, which is where I most recently dined on their offerings. The strawberry-cumin glaze and the relish lent a effervescent freshness that helped beat the heat on this balmy day. Elizabeth could have easily taken the name of the dish to heart and gone overboard with the curry flavors, but here they were subtle and balanced. It's a food truck located in Petra's parking lot and open hella late, which is a WIN! The ramen was very flavorful although it felt like something was missing compared to Cali but overall very delicious! The only thing I didn't appreciate was the price. The cup was tiny and priced at $11. There wasn't enough room for additional consommé (juice) in the cup. I honestly think the cup could be a little larger for $11 or add more meat. My friend says the Quesa Birrias ($17) were good but they still prefer La Costenita's. Personally I don't like La Costenita's, because the meat and taco shells are extremely dry. But that's why we're all entitled to our opinions and preferences. :) The item that looked like a quesadilla was really tasty and only $7! It reminded me of a taco sandwich lol. The lady that took my order could of been a bit friendlier but I understand most people in NC aren't friendly at all. She insisted I add cheese after repeatedly explaining I do not like cheese and advised to dip my taco sandwich in the ramen but there wasn't enough juice in my ramen cup to even attempt that. Overall the meal was delicious, I've tried many places and this is at the top of my list. I would return when I'm craving something authentic but the pricing needs to be adjusted for what you get. Hello 25 chicken and beef empanadas delivered to my door in time for the game. We contacted them via Instagram, and they were very responsive. We set our delivery time, pre-paid for our order, and lo and behold a tray of empanadas at my door for game time. A tray full of empanadas was quite a beautiful site. They looked gorgeous- nicely shaped, fried, and flaky just waiting for us to dive in. You could tell these were made by someone that knows what they are doing. Yummy fillings on the inside, I think I had a slight preference for the beef, but both were tasty. Could of used maybe a bit more filling. Their signature sauce is quite tasty. I honestly am not sure what it is, but use it. We are sauce people, so it was gone long before all those empanadas. I think two containers would have been more suitable for a tray of this size. Obviously, we didn't (couldn't) eat all those empanadas in one setting. They reheated great over the next few days, so order up yall!

Loved these empanadas, beef and chicken, they were crispy with lots of flavor. It came with a nice…read moresauce to put in the empanada. Perfect when having a party, you can order them by phone. Once you get them, cut it in half and serve it on a nice tray with the sauce!
