They do the work themselves, so you know they are leaving not it in a workers hands that may do…read moresomething different.  We were dealing with a sinkhole, and more, so it was very important, it was done right!  Excavation and Grading is their expertise.  He will work hard as long as it takes to give you a level end result. I was also impressed, he thought about incorporating drainage.  They are up front about everything and don't try to cut corners.  If you have a bad idea, they will tell you why and if you have a good suggestion, they will try to accommodate!  The communication is outstanding! They document thoroughly and keep you updated every stage.  If you have any requests, they will do everything to accommodate.  For instance, when he first quoted, he included 10 loads of dirt, but it just did not look like we "had" to have that much, so we discussed it and they agreed to use 5 loads, with added verbage in the agreement if more was needed, how much and deal with it if we need to. we address it. He worked hard and we never had to use more.  When he quoted too, he pointed out holes in the yard we did not think about and volunteered to include those in the price.  He also underestimated an amount for seed and did not charge us for more.  They are so, so nice and I felt secure knowing the work was done right.  It is a husband and wife team and they have a good process going.  Think of it as the "personal touch."   FYI, there was a bunch of leftover material from trees that were taken down.  The first person was going to spread that out - that would have impeded on the growth of grass and lawn mowing.  Grass is hard enough to grow now with it so hot - they do give you explicit instructions to assure you get results.  And, for a minimal cost they hauled off the bad stuff.  That was a choice I am glad we did instead of moving it in a corner or along the fence!   I consulted with another 5 star company.  I turned him down because he would turn it over to the employees and only be there at the start of the job.  He also quoted 1/4 of the amount of dirt and that told me what I needed to know. By the way, they have been around a long time but just changed their name from MaxiTurf because it did not accurately reflect what they do best. I told them the new name is perfect but why you may not see many reviews. They had other jobs going but got us on the calendar in less than a week. They even worked on the weekend to make sure we did not have to wait! I forgot to take pictures but I will add later.

Viddie's Construction - So NOT level!!

Yelp should vet providers before giving them access to the platform…read more Bidder accepted a job to level a pool pad and did not provide the service - they did NOT level the ground and I was not able to complete my pool install. When I reached out to them again, I was not able to get my money back even though they knew that they would not be able to complete the job once they arrived! They did offer to come back to "rectify" the situation but who has time for that? 1. They offered to use the dirt in my yard. They NEVER mentioned that it was too rocky to use NOR did they say with certainty, "You need more dirt or it's not going to work." 2. They used the dirt in my yard and only after I reach out at 9:45 pm (yes, it was late but I gotta get to it when I am able) that they clearly said that I needed more dirt and that they would come out when I got more dirt. 3. Again, who wants to do that when all they had to do was say that while they were HERE! THEY agreed to do the work...why not inform customers of what they need from the start? Bottom line: They took my money when they knew it was not leveled. I do not recommend at all.

Viddie Construction responded to my Yelp inquiry to create a pool pad for my 20-foot round…read moreabove-ground pool. They requested pictures of the space and I sent them. After reviewing the space via text pictures, they announced their price and we mutually agreed to level the area. Long story short, they came out and "leveled" the area using existing dirt in my yard and assured me that they would be willing to come out again if there was a problem. About 6 days later, I completed the pool install (took time for me as I did it myself and I never had a pool before - but I knew enough to know that the ground needed to be level with no more than 1 inch or maybe two off level for a pool with this great amount of water weight). As I was filling the pool, I immediately noticed that the pool was not level - by about 6 inches. I reached out for help. I was told that they"did the best they could with what they were working with... But the problem is not (them), and "that I didn't have enough dirt" and asked me, "Were you able to notice a difference at all in the water?" That question was ridiculous as I just stated that there was about 6 inches on one side and NO WATER on the other. At this point, I knew who I was dealing with and I asked for a refund. They refused but insisted that I could call them back out when I got more dirt. NO THANK YOU! Viddie Construction did not provide the service I paid for. They did not communicate that I needed more dirt until I reached back out to them. In addition, they just plain old did not know what they were doing. Do NOT trust them with your leveling needs! They will take jobs that are too big for them to do and put the onus of responsibility on the property owner when THEY KNEW they could not do the work! As a consumer and a business owner myself, I just cant understand why so many companies on YELP think it's ok to take on jobs that they KNOW they are not equipt to do and even more, I can't understand why YELP gives them the platform to do it! This is my first YELP attempt and definitely my last! In short, Viddie Construction is not a company that knows anything about creating a leveling pad and they knew it too and took my money. In my book, that is theft.
