He gave me an estimate that I thought was fair and promised to have the chair done in two weeks. I was skeptical since other shops told me it would take months. I left the chair and was quite shocked when he called to tell me the chair was finished. Three days before his two week promise. His workmanship is terrific and the chair is better than new. I did not realize how worn out the cushions and arms were. I have another old wing chair that I am going to take to him since he does such super work.

We live in a 2000 sq ft farm house on 70 acres. We had a huge problem with wasps. They were in…read morethe house, on the house- we couldn't keep them away. They even entered thru the chimney. We went and called Pest Commander to do a basic quarterly type service. The gentleman came and was very polite and he just went out and did his thing. He sprayed the inside as expected. He dusted and sprayed the outside and yard as we expected. He said to let him know if the wasp issue comes back- and even said that he has a good track record with knocking them out. They were in our siding, the eves of the house, our metal workshop, everywhere. As soon as he left, I joked and made a comment that we should put him on speed dial. Well... I can tell you now that I had to eat my words, because we have not seen wasps anywhere around this house. We've only seen them passing through the yard and pasture- they won't come near the house. This was the best money we have ever spent- and you better believe we'll be keeping the quarterly service. Thank you sir, you give us back our house.

Chappy was a pleasure to work with and the alterations were flawless. I brought him a…read moredouble-layered bridesmaid dress to shorten in length and a long sleeved dress that had busted at the seam along the shoulder that I thought was surely headed for the trash. But Chappy and his staff were able to save my dress and shorten my expensive bridesmaid dress with no problem at all. It was done in a timely fashion and for a very reasonable price. The only complaint I have are the hours they are open (typical work hours that conflicted with my own work hours and not open on weekend and having difficulty getting in contact with him in the beginning.) UPDATE: took in a pair of jeans to be shortened and was told they would be completed by the next week... called the next week and was unable to get a hold of anyone. My boyfriend went by the shop and a sign was posted that the business would be closed that entire week. We attempted to call the day after they said they would return and all calls went straight to voicemail. We moved an hour and a half away the week after we were told my jeans would be ready, which means we will have to drive back to get my jeans whenever we get confirmation that they are ready - huge inconvenience and not very professional for a business. After reaching Chappy's (at the phone number provided to me by the previous YELP reviewer), he saw me the next day for a fitting and had both pairs altered the following day. I could tell by his assurance while fitting me that he knew what he was doing, but I was unprepared for the absolute invisible nature of his work. It was beautiful! I will save my alterations needs for Chappy to take care of whenever I return to Nacogdoches!
