This cafe is exceptional. It has style, and the staff are super helpful and professional. The food was so different from the chain food next to the highway. I drove 8 minutes from Hwy 20 to the little town of Thomson, and it was worth it a hundred times over. Country feel with country music, immaculately clean and the food was fresh, hot,, and yummy. Kayla my server was a gem. She was attentive without intruding and ensured I had a good visit. I went to the restroom, which was super clean, and I just left my PC on my seat as I knew this was a wholesome place with wholesome people.

Food was good, service was not. Really wish they would've paid more attention to the customers. Very cute atmosphere though.

The coffee beans are roasted on site and the special blends are concocted and bagged for those that want to use them or give as gifts. The desserts are homemade. They taste like something your grandmother would make! The desserts often vary but typically you can always count on an amazing poundcake, coffee cake or coconut cake. There are usually 8-10 cakes, muffins and such to choose. The customer service is what will keep me returning. I am just amazed at how everyone was treated. Please go by there. You won't be disappointed!

I didn't even finish it because it didn't taste good. The coffee shop vibe is cool since they have a lot of art and cool stuff on the walls like a collectible toy car case. Maybe to sit here and work would be nice. Possibly ordering something different than the Grasshopper (which is one of their signature drinks, let that be known) next time might work but I'm not planning on coming back to this coffee shop. This place was recommended to me as well but there are plenty of other coffee shops that I will be visiting in Augusta.

Lots of seating options and we opted for the comfy little couch and chair in the back corner, which was great to just have coffee, a quick sandwich, and chat. There were several holiday specialty flavors to choose from and I went with the gingerbread spiced chai latte, and it was really good. My friend got the Good Tidings (think all the Thanksgiving flavors in one sandwich) special and I had serious jealousy over her food because I just got a simple breakfast sandwich and made the mistake of opting for sourdough instead of the amazing ciabatta it was supposed to come on. Everyone working there was so chill, the place was clean and bright, and super cute. Couple really cool things about this place: Christmas spirit & hospitality. There was they were doing a Christmas card drive for seniors in memory care/assisted living and had an assortment of blank cards and a pen for you to fill out while you drink your coffee and leave right there for them to deliver. Not only was the bathroom, super clean and spacious, but they also had a few essential items (especially for those mommies on the go) available in the bathroom that could just make someone's day if they were in need.

My folks and i stopped by for lunch recently when i was home for a visit. They don't eat out much but recommended Steeley's; I'm glad they did! Their menu is short and simple. A variety of diner sandwiches and simple sides like fries or onion rings. There was more, but i ordered a dipped chicken sandwich and thought fries would be the best option. It was a solid choice as the sandwich was very good. Their hours indicate they're open for breakfast so next time i'm over this way, I'm going to have to check that out. When I saw "...and Tackle" as part of the name I knew this was going to be some good food. Plastic trays for food, plastic ware for utensils, and styrofoam cups for your drink. And let me take a moment to get proper honor due that sweet tea. It has been a hot Georgia minute since I've had sweet tea. 1) I strive to consume mostly water and 2) I don't want the disappointment of mildly sweet/bitter tea. But I had a feeling about this place. I have no shame in admitting that I drank three glasses during the meal and got a refill for the ride home. Now the inside seating is nice and cool, but much like the team working here the layout has a family feel. You might be at separate tables, but your conversations will be overlapping. The outside seating follows the wrap around porch, with the very back giving you a view of the pond. We opted for outside and I am so glad we did. Aside from the occasional vehicle passing by, one only heard birds chirping and frogs croaking. Pure bliss. The burger is a thing of beauty. The mac n cheese, just order it. I don't care if you got a salad. Order this and thank me later. And to top it off, the banana pudding. I will try the pie and/or cake another day, but I had to do the pudding. And there was no sharing at my table. I had it consumed before they returned with my card and receipt. I don't know how long this place has been around, but I sure hope it stays so I can continue to visit (and indulge). If you are anywhere near this place, go!
