From the first conversation with Clint, we knew we were in good hands. The team at Emma is very professional, skilled and they worked together very well and that was extremely important in the removal of a huge old pine that towered over two homes and a garage appt. The tree was approximately 85 ft tall and 120 ft wide. They did a very amazing job taking down limbs at times having to climb out on a branch when it was out of reach of the cherry picker and over a home to remove the branch in pieces due to the size and location. At the end of each day everything was cleaned up and all debris removed. The last couple of days Emma's owner Rey was on site overseeing the removal of the huge tree trunk. There was a large cherry picker to lift the person with the chainsaw to tie off and cut the section and a large crane on property help move the huge pieces of the tree trunk and load them over a tall hedge and onto a flatbed truck in our neighbor's driveway. In the last 2 years we have worked with Emma Tree service multiple times. They have done trimming and seed removal on multiple very tall trees (palms and crepe myrtle). They also removed 2 large pepper trees, then worked to kill the roots. They do great work at and reasonable price, with a thorough clean up afterward. Clint has excellent communication when providing estimates and scheduling. I have also been very impressed with their customer service. During the pepper tree removal, a chunk of bark flew across the yard and cracked a window... a complete freak accident.. they did not even notice it right away. Our house was vacant due to renovations at the time, so I did not notice until a day or 2 later. When I brought it to Rey's attention, he immediately made it right and scheduled the window replacement ASAP. They did a decent job on the trimming of the trees. They didn't remove all the cuttings, didn't clean out the gutters by the tree which they said they would. They didn't fertilize the tree like we were told they would. They left trash in our yard and they never checked back in, like they said they would, even after I called them. read more

My wife and I would like to be able to write a great review but can't. We contacted Emma tree service/Clint through yelp for a quote which we did receive timely. We responded that the quote sounds good. Clint contacted us via yelp to schedule. He offered 2 dates that did not work for our schedules so we responded with possible alternative dates. He never got back to us. After waiting days for a response we called Clint on the phone. He was pleasant and acted interested in the job. He said he would check about the scheduling and get right back to us. He did not. We called again after a couple of days and left a voice mail message. No call back. So we are left wondering why we were "ghosted". Terrible customer service. He may do good work, we really do not know but "ghosting" is not acceptable. I recently had Clint from this company provide me a quote to trim trees and remove bushes and a cactus in my backyard. His response was prompt...he came out the next day! The quote was very reasonable and his team arrived at the scheduled time the following week. Within an hour and a half, they trimmed 3 fruit trees, trimmed my queen palms, removed a cactus and the roots, and cut back an overgrown jasmine and treated it with insecticide. All of the cuttings and leaves were removed and taken away. My yard was immaculate when they were done! I am very pleased with their work and will definitely hire this company again! Fantastic job!!! My palms had their first trim ever! All are over 20 years old. They came on time. Trimmed everything. Carefully coved the adjacent pond and delicate plants near by, nothing was even bent! Took all the trimming away and were even fine with me gawking at them way up in my 30+ foot trees. Everything was professional right from the start. I had NO idea who to chose to remove a large Pepper Tree in my front yard that was lifting the nearby sidewalk. I knew it was just a matter of time before it's root's "journey" would reach my sewer/water lines & this HAD TO BE DEALT with quickly! I searched the internet and almost immediately found *Emma Tree Service*. I liked that facts that the *Company was large and was seen doing BIG jobs (see the internet crew pictures). I also saw that they got GREAT reviews. I know how some companies can "manage" their reviews - but their reviews looked too legit and come to find out well deserved. The "guy" (I'm so bad at names) - came out and gave my a very reasonable quote: broken down with a removal and replacement cost for a different species of tree (less invasive) .... HERE I GO sounding all "horticulture" and all, but I do know my stuff AND so I knew what I wanted, how I wanted it done... I just needed to find the right Co. AND I DID!!! He explained what could and could and could not be done with the "stump" etc. He also let me know that if I approved the job he/they would contact the utility services and get them out before the job to mark for digging guidelines. Oh yeah, I almost forgot I had all ten Melaleuca trees trimmed at the same time, along with two Magnolias. The "crew" (about 7 people) came out early, they worked fast (but a long day... it was a BIG job), they were courteous, profession in appearance and grooming (like the trees know??) they kept the noise levels low. The fact that they had a FULL CREW made the job seamless: some cleaned while others trimmed while others YANKED! The whole time the site was kept very organized and CLEAN which I appreciated VERY MUCH - - - they even nicely accommodated me when I needed my backyard back to let my BIG 150lb dog take a potty break. From start to finish, a great company to do business with. Clint, from Emma Tree Service, responded promptly to my initial call and came out to the property to bid the job. I received a written bid proposal via email in a few days. The scope of the job was written exactly as discussed. The bid was competitive with three other bids, however the other bids were oral, not in writing. This coupled with the fact that Clint was very honest and methodical in his survey of the job, was the deciding factor on hiring Emma Tree Service. The crew arrived on time on all three days ( this was a big job). They were upbeat, positive, and professional. Keep in mind that it was extremely hot and they were working on a 40 degree incline. I was desperate. Purchased two king palms from Home Depot and tried to use their pro service. After 3 days and a couple of phone calls was told there was no one available in my area. Really? When the trees were delivered I expected them to be placed (not planted) inside my back gate because that's what I had been assured would happen. No? Set them next to garage? No. Stand them up in the curbway? No they were left laying down with the pallets attached. I found Emma and arborist Clint Davis on Yelp, looked at the reviews and figured that even though the reviews were great my job was too small for them. I should thank Home Depot for making me desperate. The rest of the experience was great. I sent a request email and they took over from there. Clint provided an estimate virtually, sent the crew, who showed up on time, were communicative, and professional did a wonderful job, cleaned up and finished the whole thing in short order. From start to finish everyone at Emma Tree Service were amazing. Clint called me back right away, and came out right away to give me a quote. Promptly got me scheduled for tree trimming and tree removal, we asked for a roughly a 2" thick slice of the tree that was removed and for the stump to be about 18" from the ground. First allow me to say that all direct encounters with staff were pleasant, BUT in January 2020 I bought 2 trees in 24" boxes that were installed on my lot. They did well at first but last Summer & Fall with the excessive heat I naturally gave them more water. One tree died suddenly. I attempted to contact the arborist twice and the office twice. After having spent about $2K with Emma Tree, I think I at least deserve the courtesy of a phone call but none ever came. After some more time I contacted another arborist who dug around the crown of the dead tree and found the first layer of roots to be about 6 inches below grade when it should have been at or slightly above. The tree was planted much too deep. The other one was also planted too deep, not quite as much but that tree is now struggling and may not survive. I have to think that the arborist must have realized there was a problem but said nothing. Emma Tree needs more training and supervision of its workers and more education of clients. I will not work with them again! read more

I have a Mulberry tree close to the house and was worried that the roots would hurt the foundation. Emma Tree consultant told me that by digging down 20" and putting in a root barrier the house would be safe for at least 15 years. The price was painful but hearing that, I immediately said yes. Happy that the tree could stay too. About 5 months after the job was done, I had the deck replaced and under the slab of the deck AND the house were mature roots all running along the surface. These mature roots could be seen inches after this 20" "barrier" was dug. So, no..... the roots were not severed as I was told, and certainly the expensive barrier was not protecting anything. And.... I asked them to tell me where they came up with only going down 20" when ALL the articles I could find said a "minimum" of 30". They could not show me where 20" was sufficient in writing and I asked for the owner "Nestalie" to call me back twice and he refused to do so. No, offer to make things right. Unless I wanted to pay them another $550. Ah, no thanks. I'll use another arborist company. read more

I had a huge cypress growing next to our house and was concerned about removing it without damaging the flagstone driveway. I got several quotes and chose Emma tree service because they were the only ones that would attempt grinding the stump (they had a smaller stump grinder that could fit in the small space) and they also had the best price on palm tree trimming that we also needed done. They did a great job with the trimming and tree removal and everything was raked and swept up. I now have a plantable area where the cypress was and the driveway was not damaged. This company is absolutely amazing! I had an emergency with a huge coral tree in my front yard. It was a Sunday and extremely large major branches had broken and fell in to the street. Its removal required great care to avoid damage to the house and driveway. The removal was long and challenging, and the Emma team did an extraordinary job. I asked for a free consult and Clint showed up on time a couple of days later. We discussed the pros and cons of trimming versus removal. Clint and his crew(s) are excellent from initial consultation to the completion of the work. We had an enormous 80-year-old Brazilian pepper tree and all its 30-year-old "babies" (at least 8- 10 )running along the side of our land. The tree itself was a big job and Clint's crew, headed up by Manny, was excellent. They were hardworking, toiling 5 hours non-stop and efficient. When confronted with a stump situation that was beyond expectations, they promised to return 5 days later and finish the work. As promised, they arrived with two new workers, one of whom I must individually compliment: Emilio. Emilio worked w/ a backhoe with surgical precision moving enormous root systems gently and adroitly Amazing to watch. He and Ray were personable and worked together as a great team, fastidiously removing the stumps and roots quickly. They shoveled and swept up any debris and left our property looking good. Clint came to meet with my husband. He promised to get us an estimate within a day or two. We never heard back.

I had an appointment scheduled with the arborist last Saturday at 9am. The arborist never showed up. After several calls and text messages, I received a reply to call Clint to reschedule and follow up. No explanation or apology for blowing off the appointment. I called Clint and never received a response. We're very disappointed in the lack of customer service and surprised this company would do this to a new customer. This could have been a great opportunity for this company, as we have over 10 huge trees on our property and we would have used them for maintenance if they did a good job on the first project. Maybe this is a fluke for this company, but I still haven't heard back from Clint or the arborist who blew us of. read more

I have a large yard over an acre completely manicured, and recently had 10 of my 25 plus year old olive trees not doing well. I had numerous people tell me the trees were dying, and diseased.I called around to numerous tree companies to get a quote of replacing one far gone.Clint responded and came out right away He came out with his department heads and arborist who determined the tree was suffering from scale.
