I recently engaged Emil for some trash removal, moving, hauling, and carpentry services. While the initial stages of the project went smoothly, my experience took a sharp turn for the worse towards the end. Emil performed admirably until he abruptly left the job halfway through, citing a family emergency. This left me stranded with unfinished work and forced me to spend an additional $200 on emergency services, calling a plumber to complete the job Emil left unfinished. Furthermore, despite my upfront communication about budget constraints, Emil insisted on providing additional services and assured me that payment could be deferred until a later date. However, he later harassed me and threatened legal action over a mere $200, which he previously agreed could be paid at a later time. Additionally, Emil's behavior exhibited concerning signs of potential drug abuse, which only added to the stress and uncertainty of dealing with him. In light of this, I want to make it clear to Emil that any attempt to harass me before Monday, when I can pay him the $200, will result in legal action. I have already alerted the police department, and further harassment will lead to consequences. It's unfortunate that our business relationship has come to this, but I will not tolerate any form of harassment or intimidation. While Emil's craftsmanship may be decent, his unprofessionalism, unreliable behavior, and questionable character make him an unreliable choice for any project. The first time I scheduled service with Emil, he called to say he was sick and could we reschedule. I was on my way to Florida so we rescheduled for a FaceTime call. When he didn't show up for the FaceTime call, I texted him to see if he was still coming. He said the weather in Vermont was "iffy" and could we reschedule.
