The whole team is considerate, straightforward, and hardworking - we were happy to have them in our home. Rick had no hesitation about taking on what seemed like a small job. The fans were switched, several electrical outlets were fixed, all quickly and professionally. So we called them back about a couple of problems in the basement. They will definitely be our go-to company when other things come up.

We had great difficulty finding a local roofer--with three companies, we faced multiple no shows, long waits for call backs and quotes, and trouble with scheduling. It seemed like none of the roofing companies had time for us. Someone suggested we take an alternate route and work with a general contractor...in comes Stewart Construction. Their quote was comparable to the roofing numbers we had seen, and we were scheduled to begin work two weeks later. S.C. was patient while we deliberated over colors and options, and they discussed in great detail how one product compared to another. We went with a 25 (30?) year architectural shingle by CertainTeed. S.C.'s carpenters uncovered a great deal of rot in the frame and nearby siding (half of our roof was 35+ year old metal w/ no plywood underneath). Working hard in the bitter cold, they repaired the damage at little extra cost to us. The porch section of the roof needed rolled out asphalt, which S.C. suggested we complete in the spring to avoid cracking the material. I appreciated that they were concerned with the manufacturer's recommendations and the longevity of the roof. When warm weather settled in, the guys came back and finished up. Overall, I was impressed with Stewart Construction's communication, respect for their client, and commitment to a job well done. When we do other projects around our home, I will certainly contact them again.

His wife, Caroline, is very friendly and easy to work with if you have questions in between appointments. Johnny came to do an estimate and see what kind of work I needed to be done. His estimate in both time and fees was accurate. He also provided free education on what he suggested I replace in terms of light fixtures for efficiency, so I was ready for his next visit with all the new fixtures. I had wanted a ceiling fan in my family room, as there's no a/c in there and it gets hot in summer. Due to the amount of wiring changes and holes in ceiling and wall to be made (I had three ceiling lights and wanted to replace the one in the center with the fan), Johnny suggested a wall fan, which I'd never heard of before he suggested it. I got a great one off Lowes that was super affordable for him to install. The ceiling fan I purchased for that room would now be used to replace my master bedroom fan that had no lights. I had put in a video doorbell myself, but the doorbell would not chime. He tested it and found that my doorbell chime needed replacing. So I got the electric chime to go with it for his next visit. The lighted ceiling fan my dad and friend put in was not done correctly; I didn't know they should not be on a dimmer, so he had me get a single pole light switch to switch them out. He also helped me choose the right smart dimmer switch for my family room and he put my kitchen lights on a dimmer because I'd felt that they were too bright without it. He put the lighted ceiling fan in my bedroom. He put the wall fan in my family room. He bought and put in a new light for my utility room as mine had shorted and a new light in one of the bathrooms, providing me with extremely affordable and attractive options. He educated me about the effectiveness of LED, so I bought all new ceiling fixtures that were exactly the same but used LEDs. I saw my electric bill go down $20 in 4 weeks! I'm extremely pleased with his service, trustworthiness and pricing. I will continue to use his services as needed and highly recommend him.

They had to run back to the shop to get additional items and I expressed concern that they were doing unplanned work. They assured me if things went outside the scope of the estimate they would let me know. I didn't receive the invoice until many weeks later--almost 6 I believe. I have never used Alex's services directly, but we have talked about his work and clients extensively, and he clearly knows his stuff, plus he is super responsive and responsible. So I zapped Alex a quick email, telling him a friend had an electrical emergency of sorts. Within five minutes he was on the phone with her, setting up a house call that afternoon. Turns out her detectors were all expired, so Alex quickly changed them up and my friend finally got a good night's sleep.
