I had concrete pavers under steps sticking out into the driveway which Rox pointed out looked awful. Andy pulled the pavers out, broke one in half, replaced them under the steps, and finished the asphalt right up against the steps. Looks much better and I appreciated his attention to detail. They rolled the finished driveway top to bottom, let it sit a bit, then side to side. Driveway looks great, clean-up was quick, and they were off to the next job. Won't know about durability for a couple years, but off to a great start.

A couple of years ago, we hired Catamount Tree Service to remove a few large, compromised trees in our yard that were threatening one of our cabins, and we were so happy with Justin's abilities and expertise on that job that we called him to give us an estimate on removing trees on either either side of the driveway to "clean it up" and widen the road for the trucks. He and his helper Sam spent a week on the driveway taking down trees, clearing brush, and delivering wood chips to our yard for my husband to use as mulch around his apple trees and in the garden. They worked their butts off for five days and finished the job by the end of the week, as promised. Yesterday our contractor came over to meet with us and the solar guy about the project, and both of them were blown away by what Justin and Sam had accomplished. The contractor isn't worried at all now about the transport of construction materials down the driveway. Not only are Justin and his crew nice young men who are sincere, hard-working, and professional, they're also fun to hang out with. My husband brews beer, so after the job wrapped on Friday we had them in for a brew sampling, and we had a great visit. I found out the hard way that this company is dishonest and mismanaged…read more I bought a home in the area and Yankee Home Solutions was contracted by the seller to reveal the septic tank and remove some leftover items from the home prior to closing, but leave the items the seller had clearly marked as "to remain for the buyer." The septic work appears to be in good standing except that the cable line was cut and then reburried below grade without a word of warning. My biggest problem is that they removed a surf board and a custom framed photograph that hung above the mantle of the fire place from the residence without permission. When they were contacted about the missing property they dragged their feet in replying. I finally had to personally confront the owner, AJ Shinner. He said: "Oh, an employee probably took them by accident and we've had some lawn sales since then and, well, I can t find it..." Beware, this company is not accountable for its actions and is not willing to accept responsibility for the errors and/or misbehavior of its employees.
