She rivals Dr. S and keeps her spirit in the practice. I am almost 50. I have a panic/anxiety disorder that I manage. I got my first IUD today. T2 couldn't have been kinder, more empathetic, gentle, and transparent. This process was so easy. She set me up for what was going to happen, the reality of the situation, and everything else to ease my nerves. The procedure (something that was spiking my anxiety) was so easy. I had been to the E.R. the previous 3 weeks with problems urinating, blood in my urine, and extreme…read morepain. Upon Dr. Leak entering the room, he behaved as if I were in his way or keeping him from something else. As I tried to explain all my symptoms and the constant pain I was in, he kept cutting me off mid-sentence. This is the first time I'd ever met this person and he was treating me like I'd just paid $100.00 for him to ignore me. Somehow, we reached the end of this horrible ordeal and he said he wanted to schedule a cystoscopy. Given that I'd been in pain for the past couple of months already, I asked him if I could be given something for pain from today until the following week when the procedure was to be done. He did not answer me. He left the room and his nurse entered and again, I asked her about something for pain. She left the room and I saw her go to him to ask. He turned around quickly and came to my door and held up his hand in the shape of a "0" (zero) and told me that, "he was not a pain management specialist." I'm 31 years old and I have never been treated so unprofessionally by a doctor in my life. He had all my records from my E.R. visits that proved I was in pain and having definite and persistent problems urologically. I was treated like I was not a human. Isn't he a Doctor? Don't they prescribe pain medication when needed? This is just mind boggling to me that he was behaving like a 16 year old boy! I don't believe I was asking too much for pain medication until the procedure was over. The pain was so great, I was having difficulty walking. And many other issues I won't go into now. I've had surgery on both knees, but the pain associated with those surgeries pales in comparison to the pain I'm going through now. Those physicians I had for those surgeries DID NOT behave like this! Quite the contrary. They made every effort to make sure I was comfortable and my pain was at a manageable level. In conclusion, this man, doctor is not what I would call him, should stop acting like a spoiled brat and start behaving like a REAL doctor. One who wants to HELP people get better and ease their pain. Treating his patients with dignity and respect. Stop humiliating them and looking at us as if we are scum on the bottom of his shoes. I will never, ever go back to this man. I wasted $100.00 that I could have spent on a REAL doctor. Nor will I ever forget how I was treated when I reached out to him for help. Thank You,

If my son's doctor is unavailable, we'll be scheduled with another pediatrician. They're all very friendly and very helpful. They also stay open until 8pm accepting walk-ins. Very convenient when you have a sick kid outside of business hours. The doctors certainly show more care and interest than those in the ER.

While I have tried several times bringing awareness to this situation before posting, I don't feel…read morethey're taking it seriously and I received the usual brush off from everyone I contacted. So now I'll go this route instead as a precaution to others who visit this Emergency room with head/brain issues. On 8/7/23 I was transported to the ER by ambulance. I had very sudden extreme pain in my head along with complete right eye blindness, severe neck pain, vomiting, and confusion. Once staff spoke to the EMT's that transferred me and getting only half my issues and symptoms, the nurses and doctors took it upon themselves to diagnose me with a migraine, like the EMTs had stated, without any tests or scans and only checking with EMTs for symptoms. They spoke to me asked me a couple questions and left me in a dark room dazed and confused. Once they spoke to my husband and he advocated this was in fact not a typical migraine and that I had gone completely blind in one eye, he stated we were NOT leaving without a scan to find out what was going on in my brain. Doctors finally ordered the scan only to find out I had a ruptured brain aneurysm, also known as hemorrhagic stroke. I was bleeding in my brain and it was on the verge of taking my life. Unfortunately this is not the only time this has happened. My Mother was also transported to this ER after collapsing at home several years ago and while they spent several hours testing her heart, they didn't scan her head for several hours and she also had a ruptured brain aneurysm that they failed to diagnose for hours. Unfortunately my Mom wasn't able to survive her rupture and passed away hours later. The reason I'm writing this is because this ER and many others do not recognize Hemorrhagic stroke symptoms! They play guessing games with matters that affect your brain instead of ordering the scans needed to diagnose these issues quickly. More education of hemorrhagic stroke symptoms need to be implemented and their medical staff need to order the necessary scans to detect such issues. If you arrive at this emergency room with unusual head/brain issues, or any of the hemorrhagic stroke symptoms advocate for yourself to get a scan!!! Unfortunately I've learned the hard way we have to educate ourselves because we can't rely on this ER to recognize or help us in that area.

He is always patient, spends as…read moremuch time with me as possible and has never rushed or made me feel like an inconvenience, as many docs in the Bloom/Norm area do. He's always been a caring person. I initially resisted going on a medication, and he bargained with me - if I didn't see results, he'd agree I shouldn't be on it and we'd look for other alternatives I took his word and I saw immediate positive results. I was wrong. He always listens to what I have to say, and I feel like he's a partner in my health, not just an authority telling me what to do. He works with me. I was so confident with him, that I brought my aging mother to him, and he was the only doctor that could ever get my mother to take her meds, and take better care of herself. He was sweet, kind and caring. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Ira Halperin. I've never been with one doctor, this long in my life.

Refused to talk to her when she questioned him and told her "to just deal with it" and "this is not up for negotiation" all transferred through the nurse. DO NOT see this doctor if you value your health. Another person we know went to him with a non-healing wound and first thing he said was that it needed to be amputated! I'm happy to say they sought a second opinion. My mom has also changed doctors.
