If you are getting a mammogram ask for this wonderful lady that I'm calling BARBARA BUTTERFLY. she's an absolute sweet positive spirit. Look at how she's decorated the room!

My appointment was scheduled for 7:30a, they advised me to arrive at 7:15a. I arrive at 7:15a and had to stand outside in the Florida humidity and heat for 10 minutes as the receptionist sat inside watching me. It wasn't until one of their medical vendors arrived that the receptionist decided to finally open the door. When the receptionist opened the door.. no good morning and no apology. Once in the office I was hit with the smell of the cheapest cleaning fumes (fabulouso), which is not a disinfectant. I immediately got a migraine and felt sick to my stomach... not to mention that the reason for my visit is due to constant nausea and dizziness... that smell definitely didn't help. Sonographer was pleasant but you could tell she did not like her job.

I was at the Emery Medical Solutions in Apopka. First of all very hard to get in parking lot. Very hard to find. When you walk in they do not greet that well. You do everything on line and you then tell them can you please help me. After all of that I was the 8A.M. appointment. I waited for 45 minutes and still no tech. I was on time for my appointment. Its says on the business card they give you that I made my appointment there is a $25.00 charge for not showing. They owe me $25.00 for making me late for my job. That is why I book first person in the morning. I do not understand why the do not book for what is the correct time for each patient time. It would be nice if the girl at the front keep you informed on the time of the tech or call to tell you running late or tex you in 2021. This is not 1980!

I have visited Simon Med/Altamonte Springs a few times now. Today was by far the best customer care experience I have received to date. Upon entering, I was greeted by Chris who was absolutely phenomenal in checking me in, handling insurance paperwork, diligently ensuring that the documents were transferred to the appropriate parties, seeking and providing information instantly; and keeping me abreast of the appointment status. I am in awe of Chris who definitely exceeded my expectations of the front desk with a wealth of knowledge, authenticity, support and drive. In addition, Joe (technician) was equally performative. Joe ensured that an almost 98 year old senior was in the "best hands". He exhibited kindness, patience, asked pertinent questions prior and during the imaging process, reviewed the history of the patient; very well versed in his feedback and definitely executed his job with excellence and caring. Joe didn't leave any stone unturned! In my opinion, there aren't enough people like Chris and Joe! If customer care is important to you from the beginning to end of your office visit, I highly recommend seeking Chris and Joe as your "go to" people at the Altamonte Springs location.

psa: be sure to check your patient responsibility first!! i paid $470.06 for a service i owed…read morenothing for. the eob has been processed and ive been asking for a refund for several weeks. i had to borrow this money and it created a huge financial issue for me. this coudl have been avoided if they indeed checked benefits. i blame myself as well as i shoudl of checked too. my benefits explicitly say covered at 100% with deductible waived. do right by your patients instead and get your information instead of telling my portion in error. this happens daily im sure, do the right thing!! we are now in may and im still providing this information to the reps and every time i get transfered its like starting over. waste of time and money, the healthcare monoply.

After my insurance denied an MRI on my knee, I spent days making calls trying to get answers. I was told a peer-to-peer review was supposed to happen, and after a 40-minute phone call on Friday, I was specifically told that if I came to the hospital, I would be able to get the MRI done there because I have financial assistance through the hospital. The only orthopedic appointment available was at 7:30 PM , so my daughter and I drove 30 minutes there, waited another 30 minutes, only to ultimately be told no and sent back home. The most frustrating part was being told one thing over the phone and experiencing something completely different in person after wasting time, gas, energy, and effort -- especially while already dealing with ongoing health issues and chronic pain. I understand policies and procedures exist, but communication and consistency matter. Patients are already exhausted enough without being sent in circles. I truly hope improvements are made so future patients receive clearer guidance and better coordination of care.

The office itself has already been really clean and organized and prior to the pandemic they offered extended hours. Today I came in for a CT Scan. Great service again but there was a miscommunication between my doctor and this office. I came in on my day off from work but then I was rescheduled all because I'm allergic to the iodine dye and the paperwork processed was the incorrect one. Wasn't a big deal to me but for someone else, it could be a huge inconvenience with work scheduling! My recommendation, listen to the customer and then reach out to their doctor while they're in the lobby to clear up any confusion before rescheduling. Other than that, I love the pre-Checkin option they text you prior to your appointment. Looking forward to my results and possibly visiting again.

Had CT scan for right hip replacement prep. Tech told me to sit on table while he asked how much I…read moreweigh. Sad, there was a dip in the table, had a sudden jolt of pain in my right hip that lasted a minute (pain scale 8). He didn't ask how I was. He just stood there while I was in pain. When I said the pain had subsided he continued with his question and told me to lie on table. After the scan I struggled to get up due to hip pain. Never offered assistance or asked about the pain. Told him to warn others with hip pain there is a dip in the table that could trigger pain. He said "I've done a lot of these for hips and no one ever complained of pain before." This is completely out of character for any Advent Health employee to act so cold and uncaring.
