psa: be sure to check your patient responsibility first!! i paid $470.06 for a service i owed nothing for. the eob has been processed and ive been asking for a refund for several weeks. i had to borrow this money and it created a huge financial issue for me. this coudl have been avoided if they indeed checked benefits. i blame myself as well as i shoudl of checked too. my benefits explicitly say covered at 100% with deductible waived. do right by your patients instead and get your information instead of telling my portion in error. this happens daily im sure, do the right thing!! we are now in may and im still providing this information to the reps and every time i get transfered its like starting over. waste of time and money, the healthcare monoply. read more

It is with great pleasure that I am writing this 5 star review to inform there are still pleasant, knowledgeable and caring people that work in an office environment. I have visited Simon Med/Altamonte Springs a few times now. Today was by far the best customer care experience I have received to date. Upon entering, I was greeted by Chris who was absolutely phenomenal in checking me in, handling insurance paperwork, diligently ensuring that the documents were transferred to the appropriate parties, seeking and providing information instantly; and keeping me abreast of the appointment status. I am in awe of Chris who definitely exceeded my expectations of the front desk with a wealth of knowledge, authenticity, support and drive. In addition, Joe (technician) was equally performative. Joe ensured that an almost 98 year old senior was in the "best hands". He exhibited kindness, patience, asked pertinent questions prior and during the imaging process, reviewed the history of the patient; very well versed in his feedback and definitely executed his job with excellence and caring. Joe didn't leave any stone unturned! In my opinion, there aren't enough people like Chris and Joe! If customer care is important to you from the beginning to end of your office visit, I highly recommend seeking Chris and Joe as your "go to" people at the Altamonte Springs location. read more

After just having had an unpleasant experience for lab work at the Quest next door, my appointment at SimonMed today was a breath of fresh air. Isabella at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. The check-in process was pretty breezy outside of the fact that they almost charged me $150 instead or $5. Thankfully Isabella offered to run my insurance again and got it right. Phew. Dennis, my tech, was professional and easy to work with. The only reason I took a star off is because they were going to charge me $150 when my co-pay was only supposed to be $5. Very glad I questioned it and glad Isabella ran the insurance again. read more

Simon med has history of double billing, I have reported them to Medicare. They claim its not their fault, it's the third party overseas partners that Simon med has entered into agreement with. Apparently what ever they swindle for the elderly in the US is their renumeration. I do not recommend them. read more

The medical industry in this country is an abomination and SimonMed is absolutely part of the club. They were disorganized, lost my intake paperwork which had been submitted online, tried to force imaging to be done which my doctor had not ordered (mammogram), forced me to do an ultrasound of my asymptomatic breast in addition to the breast that the doctor had ordered under threat of not completing the ordered ultrasound and surveyed me on my Sars-CoV-2" vaccine" status and subsequently lectured me on my decision to not receive the vaccine regardless of anti-body immunity. I was treated terribly from start to finish, the building is absolutely freezing and I was given no privacy when dressing, undressing or cleaning the globs of gel off my body. To make matters worse, I paid the self pay rate in full at time of service and was told I could not receive an itemized bill in office but could request one afterwards. So, when calling to obtain the itemized bill I was informed that I owed over $450 for the services that I had already paid for in full to the tune of $200! I sit here writings review while I wait on hold to speak with a representative and cannot even imagine the fight that I have before me. These companies are disorganized and unethical and need to be held accountable. If I need further imaging I will insist that I am able to go to a different imaging center. read more

Do not use SimonMed for your imaging needs They are inefficient, unorganized, and difficult to obtain results from. I went to have a very painful hip X-rayed 8 days ago. I am still in pain. I still have not gotten the results of my hip X-ray. I have made several calls to them and my referring doctor. SimonMeds sends texts, and em@ils multiple times a day saying they have my referral and I should come in! They don't even know I was already their patient. It's ridiculous. Called saying they canceled my appointment the day before because they don't do that testing on Friday's when they were the ones who scheduled it on the phone for me two weeks prior.. had another exam and showed up 30 minutes early in case there was paper work to be filled out. So disappointed with this facility. I have being going to this facility since 2019 and have always make my appointments online. Today when I arrived for my scheduled appointment I was told that I'm not on the schedule, I show her my text message showing the date and the time of my appointment and the response was you don't have an appointment and we don't have any availability today, that if I made my appointment online they don't recommend to do it that way because the website don't have the correct availability. I had to leave early from work for this appointment to find out that their website is no reliable. I will never come back to this Imaging center. read more

I am very upset. This facility told me I could log in to see the results of our MRI. When I couldn't log in, I called. She said she would send me the login/sign in credentials so I could get started. Never showed up. I called 3 days later (after the weekend). The lady who I spoke to said I wouldn't be able to see "much" on the portal. I insisted on wanting the log in and she sighed. Then said, "ok, I'll send it" then proceeded to hang up. I politely asked her to wait on the line until I received it, since I hadn't before. She sighed again. Waited a little bit, then hung up. I called back and now I'm getting the run around. I paid cash for this service and I can't even get the results!! Won't be going back. There are many other places to give my money to. read more

I called to make an appointment and they asked me for all the information including my insurance number and everything in detail. They tell me that everything is fine and I received from that afternoon until the next morning three emails and two confirmation texts, I stopped working and used my time to go to the center and they tell me at the front desk that they don't work with that insurance, that I can make a self pay I don't understand if everything was plotted on purpose because if that person who made appointment asked me for the insurance name and check, something like this could happen overnight. read more

I am sorry if the name is wrong I only see her once a year. I believe it's Susan. She is the best for the mammography. Let me explain to you--- I seen a comment about her staying she is rough. She isn't rough this is a woman that makes sure that gets all the right places checked. I remember when we were talking about my excess skin from weight loss I told her I was sorry for the jiggle from weight loss and she said no I'm sorry if it's pulling but I would rather have this a little inconvenience right now and not miss anything then miss something that would lead to alot more then smashing and pulling. I believe it's Susan but I could be wrong. She's the lead tech for years with the mammos!!! I'm thankful and just love how adamant she is checking my breast bevsuse my Gma had her breast removed at 19/-/ (in the 80's) then my mother passed from stage IV colon and liver at 53. Had an appointment for a ct scan two weeks ago. Took me an hour late. I also needed a chest X-ray but the machine was down. They don't schedule X-rays, it is walk in only. Came back today for X-ray. Was told it would be 1 1/2 hours but they would put my name on the list and I could return. Returned 1 1/4 hours and was told there once 1 person ahead of me. Waited 30 minutes and asked when and was told another 30 minutes. I left and will never go back to Simon Medical. read more

Worst appointment setting and front end experience possible. I called weeks before my appointment to make sure that they took my insurance, gave them the code for my appointment, MRI with and without contrast, as well as was transferred 3 times. Kept calling back. Finally was told they took my insurance and the appointment was scheduled. When I got there, they told me they did not accept my insurance, however, after my daughter and I both took off work for the end of day appointment, so she paid for me in cash so I had my appointment. Went back and they did not do the MRI with contrast, even after telling them I was supposed to have it. Got the authorization in the mail that showed the approval code and the visit WAS supposed to have contrast and my insurance was supposed to pay. Called back the billing department and they said it would take 30 to 45 days to get my money back and she was very rude. When I called back in to schedule ANOTHER appointment for the MRI, using my insurance, and with contrast, was disconnected 5 times as well as asked if I would be self pay again. I am going somewhere else. This is insane!! read more

The first thing that I noticed when I walked in was how clean everything was. The girl at the front desk when very professional and called my Dr. immediately for my Rx in order to expedite my exam. It was about a 10 minute wait and I was taken back for my MR exam. The name of my MR tech was Dennis and, he was wonderful. So positive and very kind. Second visit to this office. I drive 27 miles to come here. And, I will continue to as needed. The front desk is attentive, respectful and smiles!! The unit is clean as you would hope a medical facility would be. First class all the way! My technician was Becky. She makes the place special. So kind, patient, caring, and efficient. A wonderful attitude with a professional and kind respect of her patients. I appreciate this staff and Becky in particular. You have earned a loyal patient in the future. I spoke to three different associates about the fact that during my biopsy I need to be on oxygen since I have COPD. I wanted the procedure done in an "office " setting since it would be covered at 100% and no one seemed to have a problem. I got there today on May 26th 20 minutes early and 15 minutes after my appointment i was told that the Radiologist felt it was too risky. Also since in their opinion it was not a real need for the biopsy anyways even if my Board Certified Endocrinologist felt it is I now need to pay a $1500.00 deductible to a hospital.
