Do not get your treatment scans here. I had an MRI and after they billed my insurance. I received a bill in the mail three different times with three different amounts. Each time the amount was higher. I called to inquire about the bill, the opened an inquiry, and then sent me another bill for $300 more. i have used 2 different offices of this company for facet joint injections. The offices are kind of run down in appearance - I almost left after arrival at the west orlando site. Think chairs lined up in double rows - like a bus depot as seen on t.v. The folks answering the phones are so pleasant and helpful. A good first impression to an unknown company. The doc, Dr. Bove is excellent - the only reason I went back. I tried a different site. Winter park maybe? Again, run down offices. Both, while no obvious dirt, just gave off the feeling of not being the cleanest places. This time I received an excellent response to my injections. I am a traveling nurse practitioner, currently working in ME, and there is a 'RAYUS" card to refer pts to. So, I'm covered if I need anything up here!! Oftentimes management only hears about clients that are not happy for one reason or another thus only giving management the displeasure of only hearing about "negative" interactions. This is a different situation ... one where staff should be recognized for their willingness to go above and beyond. I have not been able to have a MRI for about the last 20 years unless it was done at a hospital under general anesthesia UNTIL TODAY. I owe it to your tech, Eneida. She was comforting and encouraging which then in turn calmed me down and allowed me to complete the MRI. I also have to praise the CT tech, Will, because he also went out of his way to make me feel like my apprehension was not "ruining" his day like most techs have done in the past. I dread when my doctor says the words ... CT, scans, or MRI after my exam. But with Rayus today I feel like I can put some of that fear and apprehension behind me. Staff like Eneida and Will are the reason that I will only request Rayus for all future scans. I went there for an ESI. Simply put... - Was supposed to change into gown or scrubs before injection for sanitation...I was still in my pwn clothes. - In my whole life, this injection was the WORST pain I ever felt in my life! I was supposed to receive a local anesthetic and if I did, the doctor certainly didn't wait for it to take effect before injecting me. - I couldn't feel my legs for a few minutes afterwards. I was in so much pain that I was crying on the table. The nurses didn't even help me off the table to the wheelchair, they just stood there and waited for me to do it myself. I was crying all the way home because of the pain.... The ONLY reason I'm not giving 1* is because even though it took a little over a week, the injection finally kicked in and I was starting to feel better. read more

My wife and I arrived early and checked in. About 15 mins after the appointment time they told her she had to drink some fluids before the procedure. If they had simply given her the drinks when we arrived it would have saved us 45 mins. As it was her 9:00am appointment didn't happen until 9:40am. Meanwhile the two receptionists are shooting the breeze about everything from their guys to their sleeping habits to their management. I suspect a little retraining could improve the level of customer service. First impressions were only so so. The building looks old a in disrepair, too. I am very unhappy with my latest visit to the Maitland rayas. I have been coming here for over 7 years, two times each year, when it used to be sand lake imaging. Ever since rayas took over, customer service has seriously declined. I made appointment almost 3 weeks in advance, showed up for the appointment and was told my appointment was cancelled because they were waiting on Dr notes for new insurance company. called my dr and all notes were sent to rayas 4 days earlier. got a call from rayas 4 days later wanting to reschedule, but they still did not have approval from insurance company to perform the imaging. finally got another call later that week, saying everything is set and can now schedule my tests. appointment was at 8:30, not called back until 9:30, not in imaging room until almost 10...told to change into gown and their pants... their pants are not one size fits all so I explained to the technician they need to be sure they have a better understanding of size before they ask a patient to squeeze into a size 4, when clearly I'm a size 14. a test that used to take no more than 15 minutes was told would take 30, then was in imaging almost 40 minutes. I was told the cd would be ready in 15-20 minutes so I could take to my dr appt that afternoon . checked in with front after 20 minutes and was told 'it's in process'. finally got the cd 45 minutes later. What should have been no more than 1 1/2 hour appointment took almost 4 hours. clearly I will be looking for another imaging service to take care of my needs Since I have to come here twice every year for the rest of my life. I hope this review helps management with improving their services at this location, and gives patients an idea of what to expect when they have imaging here. read more

If I could rate them a ZERO that's exactly what they would get from me. Coming in with my daughter whom is a minor, needing to get an MRI with Contrast done, knowing her fear of needles, she asked me to be there by her side during the injection time and all throughout the exam. They asked me for the previous MRI w/o contrast CD while I went to the car to go grab it and came back they denied me access to be with her with the simple excuse that she's fine, I insisted and the Tech DIDNT LET ME IN. THEY HAVE NO EMPATHY WITH FAMILIES WITH MINORS. They LOST OUR BUSINESS AND OTHER PROCEDURES SHE HAD SCHEDULED WITH THEM I CANCELED RIGHT AWAY. (scam )( They did okay service; except they have a policy of charging you a copay when your insurance covers you. so, I read my booklet to find out that the $25 on 4/13. charge was fraudulently taken from me and then on 7/12 my wife was charged 25, also. so, I had to call them to get a refund. can you imagine the millions of dollars they collect while never telling you your ins paid in full? and most people never read their contract. Not the most convenient location for someone on crutches and no one offerred to assist me while I stumbled around and up to the counter as well as back to get my MRI. They never informed me my insurance needed to prior-authorize and I rec'd a letter telling me "after careful consideration, we decided to authorize your MRI" from my insurance. I would've waited for an authorization. The lady at the check-in counter was asking one of the other patients about his accident in front of other patients which I thought was a bit unprofessional. read more

Was sent here from my ortho to get an epidural injection for my lower back . Awesome people from the front desk to the doctor that gave me the epidural . Checking in was a breeze both time I was there. The wait time was about 15-20 minutes. I was then take to a procedure room and the hole walk I was being informed of the hole procedure. I recently has a mammogram and sonogram at Rayus. The radiologist and my primary care NP recommended a biopsy for a suspicious mass. It has been virtually impossible to schedule this at Rayus. Staff says they have only one person who can schedule the biopsies. I have called several times, only one call was returned which I was not available for. The technicians and radiologist at Rayus are very good, but lack of ability to schedule a biopsy is unacceptable and negligent by the staff. read more

They do a good job once you are there....but you have to call and call. It takes days to talk to a human. When you call you get a busy signal and then finally if you are lucky enough to get though you have to leave a message. No one called me back. The same thing happened last time I had a test ordered. This time after two days, I finally went elsewhere. Too bad because it is close to my house and the people are nice that work there. I had a CAT scan done there a few months ago and went to get a copy of the disk. My review is VERY negative. I was to have Myelogram at the RAYES Winter Park facility. Two hours before the Scheduled time I received a call that it was cancelled. A technician called in sick. My guess is that a doctor called in and said they have a very important patient, so they cancelled my appointment. If a technician called in sick, why was my appointment not cancelled at 7AM or 8AM rather than 10:30AM. It was then scheduled for another two weeks, June 13, 2022. I have a back and spine issue and walked in on June 13 using a walker. I COULD NOT walk out using my walker, I needed to be pushed in wheel chair. Their doctor in charge of the procedure, Dr. Omar Eissa was an absolute butcher. He penetrated my spine with a pain solution then the dye. I felt the liquid(s) going down my spine. When hot to below my stomach it felt like a balloon was filling up. It hurt so bad that I was screaming. The spine was probably blocked. He was guiding the procedure with X-Ray. Shouldn't he have seen the potential blockage? Finally the "balloon" broke and the flow went down my spine. I guess the cause of blockage broke and let the fluid flow. After the procedure I asked the Doctor what caused the intense pain. He, the Doctor in charge said he didn't know. So with the intelligence of the Doctor and my intelligence we were at the same level. Didn't know anything. Then I fell off the X-ray table to the floor. The Doctor was trying to blame me. I may have damaged my recent hip replacement or something in my back. I was in pain, had twitching in both legs but finished the test in about 2 more hours. I've been to CDI twice now, and both times the staff has been helpful and friendly. They're good at what they do, and the whole process is relatively convenient. They do their best to inform patients of projected costs based on insurance, but sometimes it can be difficult to actually discern what you should expect to pay. Also, I would definitely recommend getting there ~30 minutes prior to your appointment to fill out paperwork (a couple pages more than most typical doctor's appointments). read more

I have watched everyone else come and go. I showed up 30 minutes early as instructed, was asked after waiting for 40 minutes if I brought the disc, wasn't told to bring the disc since I was told they had everything they needed when they called me to book the appointment. They sent ME down the street to the referring radiologist for the disc since they said they couldn't use the images in the portal. Fine, was there and back in less than 30 minutes. Now its been over 3 1 /2 hours I'm still sitting here, only update was that they were having trouble opening the images from the disc, hello, I have this electronically! I'm frustrated and annoyed. I'm missing work for this when I purposely booked this for the morning so I could get to work. They don't give these poor older coming through proper instructions to fill out the paperwork, not one person knew they had to sign the back of one of the pages. Then they referred to one lady as the one who couldn't figure out the iPad questions. Highly unorganized bedore I have even gotten past the waiting room, very disappointing. I can only hope the radiologists are better than their front desk staff. I used to work in medical, this shouldn't be like this. read more

The second appointment was for the following day (Saturday). When I arrived, the staff was pleasant and helpful. I had only a short wait, a quick procedure and I was on my way. This was my second visit for an MRI and it was worlds apart from the first. With the exception of the friendly and helpful front desk person, the experience was shocking. The two female techs were robotic in that questions were answered abruptly, my husband was treated rudely in the waiting area and it is NOT a place I would recommend ever again. Ladies, you were NOT doing us a favor. You were doing your job. I would give the equipment and front desk blond person 5 Stars. The techs I would give a 3 to the one who did my procedure and a one to the tech who interacted with my husband in the waiting area. Never again. read more
