I CAUGHT AMERICAN PORTABLES TRYING TO SCAM ME FOR MONEY. DO NOT TRUST THEM…read more At the beginning of 2026 I used American Portables from the months of Jan-March to have portable toilets delivered to a site that requested me to do so. Everything seemed fine. Small, local company under the radar so I wanted to support them. At the end of March I had requested by telephone that the portables be taken off site so that we weren't charged for April because I was informed the site would not need portable toilets for the month of April. One month later on April 30th I received an email and was told I need to pay for services for the month of April. "That's strange" I thought. Thinking this was just an honest mistake, I called American Portables and informed them I requested to have them taken off site a month prior over the phone and also informed them I do not work with the 3rd party anymore who requested said portables and that they'd need to contact them for payment. I even attempted to help American Portables receive said payment for their own mistake (or deliberate action rather) - Now fast forward to August 13th. Peaches (Owner of American Portables) sent me an email stating "Bill wasn't paid I'm sending it to a debt collector :(" - Confused at this and giving them the benefit of the doubt, I contacted American Portables by phone to learn that this wasn't a bill for just the month of April (to which I had request the portables be removed off site BEFORE April) - It was a bill for April, May, June and July. I grew extremely suspicious from there however still thought this could have just been a mistake. Out of generosity I explained that I had already requested the portables be removed off site twice and even offered to pay the month of April to which I was denied this. American Portables then demanded I pay a bill of $1,180 or have it sent to a debt collector. I pleaded with them and told them this was a mistake on their part. Their response? "You don't have any written proof you asked us to take them off site". American Portables didn't just try to scam me, but they used my trust of them against me. I decided to investigate the situation for myself given the arousal of my suspicion. I even asked American Portables "If you weren't paid for April, why would you keep the portables on site until July?" to which their response was "Well we removed them July 3rd but are charging you for July as well" Immediately I knew something was up from there. I contacted the site where the portables were to which my suspicions were confirmed. I had 3 individual employees, all of which knew nothing of the situation, tell me "The portable toilets were taken off site at the end of April/beginning of May" - I confronted American Portables about this to which Peaches called me a liar and harassed me over email as well as blocked my phone number. I caught American Portables in a blatant lie and gave them a chance to correct it to which they didn't and when they were called out they tried to tuck tail and hide DO NOT TRUST American Portables. I am a small, 1 man contractor and they tried to lie to one of their own neighbors and scam me of money. Seriously Peaches, SHAME ON YOU. I caught you and instead of repenting and asking for forgiveness you doubled down on it. SHAME ON AMERICAN PORTABLES
