Fast Friendly Service Got The Job Done! My septic was backed up and that's never a fun time. I called Choo Choo Rooter because of the good reviews and was pleased. I called the end of the day and was surprised to hear he could get me in for the next day! I was surprised it's $350 for a 30 minute service call to snake a line, but they did a good job and my problem is solved. I recommend them since they were super fast and professional. read more

Philip is the best plumber ever! I will never use another one. He responded to my request and came to my home soon after. Had to come twice to resolve my problem. His price was extremely fair and he wouldn't accept any more money after he had put in so much time the second time (and brought an assistant whom he had to pay). I'm pleased as punch. I highly recommend Philip and ChooChoo Rooter. read more

Service and work was done right. It seemed a little expensive when work was completed. Serviceman could not explain the charges when I asked for a itemized bill. read more

Unfortunately Choo Choo Rooter didn't perform the job to expectation. They snaked the line and the technician said something about a slow drain and hair being the culprit, however the toilet is still gurgling when a laundry load drains. I checked the sewer line and it is still draining slowly. This is after one month that they came by and unfortunately my tenant didn't let me know right away about the gurgling sound so I called as soon as I found out. The owner wanted to come by and charge another $250 to snake the line and $200 to put a camera in. There was no attempt to make it right or try to snake it a second time at no charge. I cannot spend $500 within a month time and still have a slow drain. I cannot recommend this company and will not do business with them again. read more

Technician arrived promptly. He listened to my request and got to work. They were knowledgeable and found my septic line.

I appreciated the communication and scheduling. However I was not imformed of the additional cost because they had to drive to Ooltewah. I think they should have informed me of that before scheduling. It was an additional $50 for coming to Ooltewah from Chattanooga. read more

We had an emergency and called Choo Choo Rooter. He tried to advise me to fix the problem myself, but when he realized I was going to be unable to do so, he came to our rescue. I highly recommend Choo Choo Rooter. read more

I called Choo Choo Rooter because my gas water heater was not working. I knew the unit was older, but when I got on the phone with Phillip, he walked me through troubleshooting. It turns out the pilot light had gone out. Phillip Facetimed me and walked me through how to restart the pilot flame, and got it running again. I will definitely call Choo Choo Rooter when it's time to replace my water heater. Thank you, Phillip! read more

These guys are so great. I called with a relatively urgent plumbing need. Bailey came out in the cold evening and crawled under my house in the cold. They gave me a few options for fixing the problem. They were kind and prompt and kept me up to date with all the details. They're great! read more

We had a commode back up and company coming the next day. I called early in the morning and they came by lunchtime. They helped me understand what was going on and solved the problem. They were very professional and very helpful. I could not be happier. read more

Today (a Sunday morning), we experienced a leak in our stack vent (sewer pipe) and we called the Choo Choo Rooter. Philip was great and responded immediately. My husband and I were sure this would be an expensive fix as it was behind our kitchen backsplash tile. Philip assured us he could patch it with minimal damage, and that is exactly what he did. There are really no words that can explain how grateful I am to Philip and the company, and I know that they will have my business for as long as I live in Chattanooga, and I will recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber. The service was the best and the workmanship was top notch! Thank you to Philip for taking care of the problem and doing it so quickly on a Sunday morning. Thank you, very much! read more

Although they were quick to respond to my three calls to unclog a line. They informed me there was a problem with the line to the street. I asked each time on the three service calls for a price to fix the line and they never got back to me. I called another company, that starts with Me and they came and first inspected the issue and unclogged the line for 1/3 the cost for Choo Choo. They gave me a quote with in two hours and fixed the issue the next day. Do not call Choo Choo Rooter. Call the company that starts with a M. read more

Choo Choo Rooter I the real deal - Honest, knowledgeable and efficient are qualities that go a long way when looking for someone to get my homes inner workings, working again. Called for a free estimate for septic service. They arrived, used the prod to confirm location of the tank, gave us an estimate less than half of the other 2 estimates we received. They communicated well after scheduling to begin the work, showed up and got right to it. We were very pleased with the customer service and happy to support a small "Mom & Pop", family-owned business. We have found our plumbers. HIGHLY recommend! read more

I did a search here for septic tank pumping and Phillip responded almost immediately. In talking with him, we learned about Hydro jetting to clear the lines. Per recommendation we hired Morgan's septic to empty the tank and Choo-Choo Rooter to Hydro jet the lines. We were very pleased with both the professionalism and quick and thorough service of both businesses. If you have septic issues, reach out to Phillip at Choo Choo Rooter! read more

I had a sink that I could not get to drain, and a dishwasher that was leaving me with dirty dishes after it ran. I just bought my first house in August and was not really sure where to turn. Choo Choo Rooter was the only plumber in town that had great reviews, and I see why. They cleared my sink, fixed my dishwasher even though it was technically a problem with the filter not the plumbing, and also noticed a kitchen drawer that was broken and fixed that too. They all turned out to be simple fixes, so they would not even let me pay them. I felt like I was being taken care of by my own family. I will definitely use them again. read more

I don't have confidence in their work at this point. This isn't the only or first issue I've had with the work this crew has done for me. This is just the biggest and most recently discovered. When we first talked about the job, they recommended changing my sink stops in both bathrooms due to the age while the vanities were removed. Then those were not changed. The hot water line for the guest toilet was not run for the bidet attachment initially as discussed. That required another trip to complete. As I recall the bidet attachment wasn't installed in master bath initially and that required another trip and additional charge. Then it leaked, and the guy came out two more times to fix that, and wanted to charge me again. In the kitchen, In the kitchen someone stepped through my newly finished ceiling I had to have repaired. They did take responsibility and credit me that cost. Thank you. This week when connecting the stove, I discovered that there was no gas line drip leg installed when the gas connection was moved in the kitchen. There was also a minor issue with the nipple on the pot filler. Those have been corrected by another plumber. I didn't even really want to contact Choo Choo about the shower valve, but thought I should because that's a bigger deal. At first they tried to blame someone else for that, but then I showed them the other pic where the valve had been roughed in upside down and backward so the hot would be on the right and cold in the left. I'm not mad. I just want my home to be right and the way I want it and get what I pay for. This company could not come check the issues in the time frame I needed. I hired someone else to fix their mistakes. They also don't want to pay for the fixes. I do not recommend Choo Choo Rooter. read more

We are new to the area and found Choo Choo Rooter on Yelp as they had good ratings and we needed to have one of our bathroom toilets cleared. Philip and his wife Eloise were there in about an hour. He was able to clear the line and repair a drippy bathroom faucet. The next day the same faucet was dripping and the toilet was running so I called him. He came back and replaced the flush mechanism and replaced the faucet (my husband used the car that day so Philip took me to Home Depot to get a new faucet). Philip is knowledgeable and thought it was suspicious that the toilet was running and the faucet he had fixed the day before had started dripping again so he checked the PRV pressure. Sure enough his diagnosis was correct! The pressure was way too high and was causing the faucet seals & toilet to run. He gave us a written estimate and we ended up replacing the PRV by our meter and all is well! Happy customer that will gladly use them again! read more

What can I say, I am so thankful I called Phillip to help with a major issue at my house in Chattanooga. My mom lives there and wasn't able to handle things on her own. Philip was over there same day to check out the problem, and even though it was a major repair he was able to keep the cost down and even avoid taking out a whole tree while still solving the problem just a day later. He put my mom at ease the whole time he was at the house working on the problem. I was overseas at the time but we coordinated by phone and text and he made everything super easy. He explained things clearly and I never felt like he was giving me anything other than exactly the info I needed to decide how to proceed. Very happy to know there are still skilled folks like Phillip out there who take pride in their work and care for their customers, and can empathize when problems turn out to be worse than expected. He was great and we'll continue to use his services if we ever have any future issues. read more

I called Choo Choo Rooter and talked to Phillip with plumbing problems. He answered in minutes and was at my house with everything repaired that day. Great honest work, plus he was very fair with his pricing. You want find a more reliable plumber. We have had real bad experiences with two others that weren't honest with us and cost us a lot of money. So happy to have someone that's truly honest and not just put to take your money or not know what they're doing and not fix the problem and still charge you $250. read more

Quick, easy, professional, and great value! They made quick work of our kitchen sink. Saved the day for sure!

The professionalism and quality of work done by the crew I had at my home today is second to none. I had a wax seal that went bad underneath one of my toilets which had resulted in a rather unpleasant puddle of water in my bathroom. I'm a DIY type of guy, but as is the norm with unpleasant situations, I had absolutely no time to go pick up equipment to replace the seal. I called Choo Choo Rooter at 1210 and received a phone call from a crew at 1220 saying they were on their way. They started work at 1255 and were finished at 1310. They were friendly and personable. Most of all, they were clean. They removed their work boots upon entered my home (not because I asked), and cleaned up nicely once they were done. In the event of an emergency of this type or others related to what this business seems to excel at, I highly recommend them. read more

I can't even express how thankful I am for these plumbers. I came in from out of town to take my elderly parents to drs appointments when I noticed a huge leak in their front yard. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value Called them to fix a crushed leech line. Told me over phone they could fix it. When they got here. They dug and found my septic tank hooked a hose to it and pushed woke water thru it. Told me there was nothing more they could do after they had already told me they could do septic line repair which was a lie because they didn't. . charged me $468 and left with septic tank dug up. Ect ..rip off. If you could not fix the crushed line you should have told me that. And not done anything at all. Called anottjer septic place I won't mention. Told him about what happened and he told me I should have never used them that they was just trying to make a fast buck. Guess it's a lesson learned. I burned by a buisness they lied to me and wife it's is bad buisness to tell someone you can do something and not hold up to it and then rip us off for $468 !!. Found choo choo rooter through Yelp. Could not be happier. I normally find folks through nextdoor app, but just couldn't find a plumber. They set me up with an appointment and texted me to let they were on their way. Which I appreciated. They were timely. Ernie and Bailey were very polite and professional as I walked them around the house and I showed them all the areas I needed fixed. They told me when something didn't need to be done and offered a simplier solution and quite frankly cheaper solution. All this to mean that they won't oversell you. We finalized the projects 4 in total. They were done within an hour and a half. Absolutely crazy how fast they were. The pricing was really fair and affordable. How do you get great work at a very affordable price? It is normally unheard of. I will only use Choo Choo Rooter for all my plumbing needs. read more
