Unfortunately Choo Choo Rooter didn't perform the job to expectation. They snaked the line and the technician said something about a slow drain and hair being the culprit, however the toilet is still gurgling when a laundry load drains. I checked the sewer line and it is still draining slowly. This is after one month that they came by and unfortunately my tenant didn't let me know right away about the gurgling sound so I called as soon as I found out. The owner wanted to come by and charge another $250 to snake the line and $200 to put a camera in. There was no attempt to make it right or try to snake it a second time at no charge. I cannot spend $500 within a month time and still have a slow drain. I cannot recommend this company and will not do business with them again. read more

Although they were quick to respond to my three calls to unclog a line. They informed me there was a problem with the line to the street. I asked each time on the three service calls for a price to fix the line and they never got back to me. Today (a Sunday morning), we experienced a leak in our stack vent (sewer pipe) and we called the Choo Choo Rooter. Philip was great and responded immediately. I had a sink that I could not get to drain, and a dishwasher that was leaving me with dirty dishes after it ran. I just bought my first house in August and was not really sure where to turn. Choo Choo Rooter was the only plumber in town that had great reviews, and I see why. They cleared my sink, fixed my dishwasher even though it was technically a problem with the filter not the plumbing, and also noticed a kitchen drawer that was broken and fixed that too. They all turned out to be simple fixes, so they would not even let me pay them. I felt like I was being taken care of by my own family. I will definitely use them again. read more

I don't have confidence in their work at this point. This isn't the only or first issue I've had with the work this crew has done for me. This is just the biggest and most recently discovered. When we first talked about the job, they recommended changing my sink stops in both bathrooms due to the age while the vanities were removed. Then those were not changed. The hot water line for the guest toilet was not run for the bidet attachment initially as discussed. That required another trip to complete. As I recall the bidet attachment wasn't installed in master bath initially and that required another trip and additional charge. Then it leaked, and the guy came out two more times to fix that, and wanted to charge me again. In the kitchen, In the kitchen someone stepped through my newly finished ceiling I had to have repaired. They did take responsibility and credit me that cost. Thank you. This week when connecting the stove, I discovered that there was no gas line drip leg installed when the gas connection was moved in the kitchen. There was also a minor issue with the nipple on the pot filler. Those have been corrected by another plumber. I didn't even really want to contact Choo Choo about the shower valve, but thought I should because that's a bigger deal. At first they tried to blame someone else for that, but then I showed them the other pic where the valve had been roughed in upside down and backward so the hot would be on the right and cold in the left. I'm not mad. I just want my home to be right and the way I want it and get what I pay for. This company could not come check the issues in the time frame I needed. I hired someone else to fix their mistakes. They also don't want to pay for the fixes. I do not recommend Choo Choo Rooter. read more

We are new to the area and found Choo Choo Rooter on Yelp as they had good ratings and we needed to have one of our bathroom toilets cleared. Philip and his wife Eloise were there in about an hour. He was able to clear the line and repair a drippy bathroom faucet. The next day the same faucet was dripping and the toilet was running so I called him. He came back and replaced the flush mechanism and replaced the faucet (my husband used the car that day so Philip took me to Home Depot to get a new faucet). Philip is knowledgeable and thought it was suspicious that the toilet was running and the faucet he had fixed the day before had started dripping again so he checked the PRV pressure. Sure enough his diagnosis was correct! The pressure was way too high and was causing the faucet seals & toilet to run. He gave us a written estimate and we ended up replacing the PRV by our meter and all is well! Happy customer that will gladly use them again! read more

What can I say, I am so thankful I called Phillip to help with a major issue at my house in Chattanooga. My mom lives there and wasn't able to handle things on her own. Philip was over there same day to check out the problem, and even though it was a major repair he was able to keep the cost down and even avoid taking out a whole tree while still solving the problem just a day later. The professionalism and quality of work done by the crew I had at my home today is second to none. I had a wax seal that went bad underneath one of my toilets which had resulted in a rather unpleasant puddle of water in my bathroom. I'm a DIY type of guy, but as is the norm with unpleasant situations, I had absolutely no time to go pick up equipment to replace the seal. I called Choo Choo Rooter at 1210 and received a phone call from a crew at 1220 saying they were on their way. They started work at 1255 and were finished at 1310. They were friendly and personable. Most of all, they were clean. They removed their work boots upon entered my home (not because I asked), and cleaned up nicely once they were done. They dug and found my septic tank hooked a hose to it and pushed woke water thru it. Told me there was nothing more they could do after they had already told me they could do septic line repair which was a lie because they didn't. . charged me $468 and left with septic tank dug up. Ect ..rip off. If you could not fix the crushed line you should have told me that. And not done anything at all. Called anottjer septic place I won't mention. 1st time changed faucet and stops out. Charged 250 but cold line leaked call back had to replace part of the piping, charged another 185, for 3ft of plastic pipe and 2 fittings. Think the price was a little high. Also 2nd time left mud-dirt on floor. read more

They set me up with an appointment and texted me to let they were on their way. Which I appreciated. They were timely. Ernie and Bailey were very polite and professional as I walked them around the house and I showed them all the areas I needed fixed. They told me when something didn't need to be done and offered a simplier solution and quite frankly cheaper solution. All this to mean that they won't oversell you. We finalized the projects 4 in total. They were done within an hour and a half. Absolutely crazy how fast they were. The pricing was really fair and affordable.
