In fact this shop has been open and hidden away in the back of a shopping center off of the daunting highway 74/Independence for a few years and only recently found its way onto Yelp. I stopped in on a slow, quiet Sunday. You could hear the Spanish-language church through the walls next door. The shop keeper (and owner) was clearly very used to it. After a quick bit of browsing I chatted with the owner at length about the business and what they focus on and can do. They are primarily aimed at scrapbooking and card making. If you're wanting to do some time intensive custom invitations or put memories down permanently they will have what you need. There is also a litany of markers, pens and such for putting a personal touch on things and maintaining that artistic bent. The owner was very kind and friendly. When I asked about origami papers, she said she's perfectly willing to order them although they don't carry them in-store. Last but certainly not least they offer classes on scrapbooking and card making for anyone worried about taking on the task. My review isn't exhaustive, most especially because I didn't look at the prices on anything and simply wouldn't be able to say for sure if they were good or competitive. But I have no reason to think the store won't appropriately serve the needs of someone looking for the specifics of this deep hobby.

The store is clean and organized in a way that is easy to navigate. All beads were clearly labeled with price. They had almost any color, or material you would want in beads. They also had sections of charms and pendants. You could really make anything- necklaces, earrings, bracelets, even keychains! There is a lot to choose from, I was a little overwhelmed at first but the staff is AMAZING. They were very well staffed and were very willing to help. There were already made pieces around the store, or they were able to look at inspo pictures and find beads/pieces that matched. Once you pick out your pieces, they give you a board to lay it out, and string to bead it on, then they take care of putting the clasp on and finishing it. They have tall tables to work at so you can stand while you work, or sit in a stool. You can drop in anytime they are open, but they are only open until 4:00 during the week. We scheduled a private party which they do after hours, is $20 a person not including jewelry, and you need a minimum of 8 people. We also brought our own drinks and snacks. As far as pricing, everything is very clearly labeled, then it was an addition $5 to put the chain and clasp on. My necklace was $40 total and most pieces made by our group ranged from $30-$60 for the most part. I will definitely be back!!

They've been in Charlotte for a very long time, have a bevy of selection, do everything in house. Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y So their work is superb. Yay, but what about people skills. They rock. I feel like a friend whenever I'm in. We catch up and then get to business talking about layouts, formats, thoughts, arrangements. Hell it can take up to :30m to get your whole vision out but you know what, they listen, they care, and they do so with smiles. I love that. This is not your :30m frame shop, this will take some time to get to you. If you want something cheap, fast, and dirty, you know there are plenty of chains to go to. The workers were super helpful explaining everything and bringing us our paints. It's takes 10-12 days for the art to be ready to pick up so keep that in mind in your planning. They had plenty of holiday and seasonal options in case you're looking for a special gift for a Mother's Day or Father's Day gift/activity. The pottery prices we 20$ and up but they didn't charge studio time by the hour like I've seen other places do, which is great if you have smaller kids. Great activity!
