While wandering around West Seattle I stumbled on this place. At first I thought it was just a gem and mineral place, but pretty quickly I realized it was a full on psychic healing shop.
I don't buy into this stuff, but the prices on the gemstones were pretty good so I picked up one of Betsy's favorite stones. I came back a couple weeks later to get a necklace attachment so I could turn the gem into a pendent and, lo and behold, there was a psychic fair.
The ladies there were all really nice and friendly, not quite what I would have guessed. For some reason, I think psychic my mind conjures up images of big-haired housewives who're one part used car salesman, two parts jersey gypsy, and one part pure scam artist.
instead, these ladies were...well...mundane, like I had walked into a local book club meeting. They were chatty and really sweet. I relented and got a "reading" done, which I actually enjoyed. It wasn't anything mind blowing, but the lady was very earnest about it and I can see why folks would find these things comforting. I did walk out of there feeling pretty good.
Though, apparently my chakras are all out of whack. (cept for my crown chakra, which is in really good shape). Now, how does one fix a chakra? My assumption is you pull it out and blow on it, like you would with an old NES cartridge. No?
In closing, a fun little shop with a bit of wackiness to it. Good prices on gem stones and minerals, so if you're a jewelry maker you might find some fun pieces there to use. The staff are really friendly and chatty, though are prone to let you know which stones are calling to you. Even if you're not a believer, like myself, you can't help but enjoy the place. read more
