It listed on their website that they had three types for rent, but when we got there they only had one. This is by no means a problem since we were just tooling around on the Neuse but a testament to the store's popularity. The price was ridiculously affordable and they offered to pick it up at my father in law's house. The owner even offered to let us borrow pfd's since you need to have one on your board in NC. We had a great time and look forward to renting from them again.

The weather was perfect and we saw tons of wildlife - birds, crabs, hermit crabs, stringrays, fish, and heard that there were dolphins around (unfortunately didn't get to see any). They provided life jackets and had waterproof bags that you can rent to put your belongings in. Overall an enjoyable experience, would definitely recommend!

This 2 hour trip was the perfect amount of time in the sun, we all got just a little bit of color and found a lot of shark teeth! There was 5 of us and we were all able to find some. The short kayaking trip is 1/4 of a mile and does not take that long at all. You have to pass over one main area but it is not too hard to spot the boats. Definitely do not go on a windy day. The wind and current will be pulling you and it will be an arm workout you never expected. We had pretty good weather; sunny, light wind; nothing crazy ! It was a nice day. Definitely would do again. He asked for input about where we wanted to go on the ride but also offered great suggestions. It was a nice balance. The day of the ride was SO much fun. There were six of us and plenty of room on the boat to spread out. One of us has a bit of anxiety about boats and James was very reassuring. The island James took us to was peaceful and beautiful and it was amazing getting to float in the still water nearby. He even collected some shells for my toddler to bring home! James is not a Wilmington native but has been here for a while and has clearly worked hard on knowing the area well. The two hours flew by - we had such a great time. Before we got back I was thinking about when we could rationalize doing it again. Highly, highly recommend booking with Salty Feet.
