We couldn't find a room so we somehow ended up here. Where we got there, our room was not ready so we went outside as the beach is right across the street, no problem. When we finally did get in our room, we realized there was NO AC in the entire hotel, our room was left HOT all day, it was sweltering. They finally turned the little AC on that stuck out the wall when we walked into our room. It was a unbearable HOT MESS from then on. The young man that runs the place was sober when we checked in. We couldn't take the heat so we got ready around 4am to leave. We called the number to check OUT around 6am. The Owner was up & it was HE that called the young man to check us out. When he finally got up & came to run our Credit Card, he smelled to high heaven, like an old alcoholic. So bad, it almost made Hubby chuck. The worst part? The two giant German Shepards (dogs) that also live there that run around the hotel, they let them poop all over the place. As we were leaving, the two giant German Shepard dogs are let out in this tiny tiny side yard that is filled to the brim, the ground, completely covered in dog poop. I mean, the ground is so completely covered in dog poop you can smell it so strongly FROM THE STREET it almost made us both chuck. Looking over the fence from the street you can see the dogs have to wade in this RIVER of DOG POOP. Then, they have it all over THEIR FEET & then they are let BACK INSIDE. These people LIVING HERE are going to die from some horrible disease. This place needs to be permanently closed. Someone needs to save these poor animals. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

There is no office access. We saw multiple people trying to access the office, obviously it was not communicated to them that this is now a "no contact" facility. 2nd complaint- there were SEVERAL huge bags of laundry sitting outside on the patio of said "office" for days. 3rd complaint- the 4 people "on staff" who were of which no identification that they were employees until we saw them with brooms, mops, etc. They were extremely RUDE. In example, a larger heavy set man was there and we asked him to unlock the laundry room so we could do our laundry. He was very rude in his response and asked what we needed and if it was personal items or needing towels, we said personal items and he laughed and said "ok, well it should be open", not offering to open the doors for us after we just told him it was locked. So, we found the second employee on staff who was identified with a "maintenance" name tag, and asked him if he would open the laundry room for us, he kindly opened them for us. 4th complaint- there was another said employee that was not uniformed violently pushing the chairs in the patio and taking guests personal towels that were laid out on chairs to their laundry basket. He was also going up to guests who were eating and asking them if they were finished with their food. He was very rude to interact with and he was not professional in any manner, just as the heavy set gentleman. 5th complaint- MOLD. There was mold all on the inside of our shower and growing on the shower curtain (see photos). 6th complaint- This is the icing on top of the cake- our flight was scheduled to leave very early, so we had to get up and going around 3 am. Waking up and walking into the kitchen, there were not one, but TWO COCKROACHES crawling on the floor!!!! My phone was not with me and as soon as I moved to go grab my phone, they ran straight under the refrigerator. As if the complaints above weren't enough for us to ever return, the last complaint was. This establishment used to be so well ran and high class. All I can say is wow, we will never return to Belleair Beach Club. It was also communicated amongst other guests we had met there that they have been staying there for years and were also very disappointed in the way this establishment has went downhill very quickly.

Beachfront location and most rooms have a private balcony for your viewing pleasure. We've enjoyed our stays here, twice now. Several of the units are privately owned, either way, such a nice place to stay and relax. Location is key in choosing a vacation rental. At Belleair Beach Club, you're literally minutes from Clearwater, Indian Rocks Beach, St. Pete and Tampa. Just about anything you want to do is a short drive. Plenty of good eats in the area as well as nightlife activities. Only negative I have for this years trip is the slight eyesore of the massive pipeline spanning the beach with the ship sitting about a half mile offshore - but not to worry, they're just dredging to increase the size of the beach so it will be even bigger when we return!!

The apartment is super clean and they have thoughtfully provided everything you can think of for the kitchen (towels,coffee filters, plates, wine glasses, spatulas, dish soap, sponge, etc). There are washer/dryers on the property, too. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of closet and drawer space for our stuff! The property is well situated on treasure island. We literally crossed the street and walked 3 minutes to the public access of the beach which is conveniently empty (there's no parking spaces for cars)!! A huge Publix is about 2 blocks away. We cannot wait to come back here!!

We checked in on Thurs., Dec. 10th and stayed until Tues., Dec. 15th, coming into the Tampa area to witness and celebrate our daughter's graduation from USF. To begin with, checking in was a breeze, the grounds are incredibly clean and well-kept. The tropical foliage, palm trees and landscaping create this Utopian effect and you feel, well...relaxed. The resort houses approx. 35 - 45 condo-style units that give you a far better value than some of the competing hotels. I completely spaced taking pics of the interior while there but I can describe it as being fully furnished with stainless steel appliances, a breakfast dining area, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and approx. 1000 sq ft. The master bdr features one of the most comfortable king size beds I've ever slept on and I woke up each morning, feeling entirely refreshed. I'm gonna need to know the brand and style of mattress that was, when you read this, Westwinds! The place was super clean, fully stocked with a variety of towels, spacious and had a nice layout to it. The wildlife surrounding the resort were also quite the sight to see, as were the multiple dolphin sightings at the rear of the resort. The pool was crystal clear, heated and very clean. The only issues we encountered were very minor and weigh nominally on this review. Our shower head seemed to have a mind of it's own by spraying multiple directions due to some hard water build up in the shower head jets. When I adjusted the water flow to a more powerful stream, it worked fine and I just had to adapt to a thinner, high-pressure stream. The other notable issue that may also require 10 mins of attention by the maintenance tech, would be to adjust or replace the toilet lever. In order to accomplish a full flush, the handle had to be held down for approx. 3 - 4 seconds, rather than a press and release. Lastly, in the front guest bedroom, the ceiling fan was off-camber and made a significant humming noise, no matter the speed. Once again...minor issues. The service provided to my family and I, by Leslie, was nothing short of wonderful. Leslie is the main property manager and seems to do it all on the grounds. She was awesome. So awesome, as a matter of fact, we took her down some homemade taco soup, prepared by my wife the evening before. We felt genuinely welcomed and valued the entire time we stayed. We will be back and we will be staying at Westwinds once more. This place was great!!! Thank you! SCORE: 4.5 STARS!!

Fair pricing, clear pool, clean facility, close to everything, washer and dryer, SO dog friendly, and they have literally everything you could possibly need for a beach day. (They even have wagons!!!) We are smitten by the Coconut Inn and you should not hesitate to book. We brought a box fan just for a noise barrier and we have a golden so he gets warm. We could never hear other guests and (we even found a sound machine in the drawer!) We stayed in suite 5, it has the most lovely view of the beach. Again, would absolutely recommend!

Lately we've been seeking out smaller motel/inns to stay in. We like that they're a little funky,…read morenot run of the mill corporate hotel. This one didn't disappoint. It actually exceeded our expectations! We arrived a few hours early and they let us park in at the hotel. Which was great since they are located 2 blocks from the beach. The room was very spacious and had a full kitchen, 2 tvs etc. The biggest surprise was the balcony for the guests. It was right outside our room. Hanging chairs, comfy rocker/gliders overlooking the town. It even had an ice machine, water machine with different flavors, temps and could even do sparkling water. An elaborate coffee machine was also there that made lattes, mochas and standard coffee. They have beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and even carts u can use to walk to the beach. Coming back, they have an outdoor shower and hose to rinse off. We decided to stay for a bit the next day and we were told we could keep our car. there til 4p- so we enjoyed the beach some more! We've already told others about this great find.
