I mostly told him, "dry pebble creek, drought tolerant plants, flowers, low maintenance, no lawn" and he delivered that and made it more than I'd hoped for. My friends are now envious of my front yard. It is very zen and tasteful. A few neighbors scared me as they drove by veeerrrrry slowly past my house, and then I learned they wanted to know who my landscaper was. I would have had more done, but didn't because finances. I've accepted that contracting comes with hiccups but to me it's about how someone stands by their work and customer service when things go wrong. Tom's team went above and beyond and repaired a few small things that broke along the way, and Tom's team put in some extra effort to work around my fence which I wanted to keep intact during the project. We did wind up with a leak issue, and while Tom is sometimes very busy and a little hard to get a hold of - he always got back to me eventually and resolved the issue, either immediately or within a few weeks. Last but not least, Tom's price was fair, and I really hope to hire him and his team again next year for some other projects! You will get a beautiful garden with Tom.

I called for a quote and within days met with Jeff and had numbers in hand. It just so happened that there was also a window to have the work done the following week! The quote was fair and I was very happy to have the project done so quickly. Shortly after the initial quote, I made some changes which resulted in a little miscommunication on a couple pieces of the project. More time would surely have eliminated these concerns, but Jeff and I were able to resolve the gaps in expectations before the work was completed with only minor setbacks. Jeff exceeded expectations with my requests for drainage, which he ran along both sides of my driveway all the way to the sidewalk, and added in multiple drought tolerant plants to add to the design. Upon completion there are a couple small cracks in the concrete that showed up days after being laid, and my hose and mailbox were damaged during the construction (which Jeff offered to replace and re-install), but after having been through a kitchen remodel and other yard projects through other contractors, have learned there will always be minor adjustments or imperfections with any job. Jeff is very responsive, and his crew is hard working and polite. I am very happy with the work and that I was able to get a fair price and have the work done so quickly. The yard looks great and I have had many compliments from neighbors.

Within a a month of the landscaping- weeds started growing heavily through the rock beds , and then later in borders and in the concrete dividers. I immediately called the owner and he did send out some young guys to pull weeds and sprayed . He did not come to view himself. Less than a month later weeds were coming through again. I contacted him again and several promises were made to come back but it never happened. I was told by another land scraper that the weed fabric installed was probably low quality and the rocks needed to be removed, a weed killer applied to the dirt , and a higher quality weed fabric relaid. This will all cost me additional money , which I spent $5000 for this yard landscape. Another thing the drips that were installed never properly worked so many of the plants died due to lack of water. I was advised this would be I investigated, and it was not. While I understand weeds will happen over time, they are actually worse now than before? I wanted a low maintenance backyard landscape, which this isn't it.

From the beginning, Oscar was responsive, courteous, and professional. He scheduled a site visit promptly, listened carefully to our concerns, and took the time to walk the property with us. His communication was clear and respectful, which gave us immediate confidence--especially important since we were looking for a team my mother could trust. As part of the initial work, Oscar and his crew performed a full cleanup of both the front and backyard. This included trimming overgrowth, clearing debris, shaping shrubs, and refreshing the landscaping. The work was done thoroughly and with attention to detail. The yard had not been professionally maintained in quite some time, and the transformation was exceptional. In addition, they conducted a complete irrigation system audit. Rather than upsell us on a new system, Oscar optimized the existing setup by making necessary repairs and adjustments. This practical approach saved us money and disruption, and it demonstrated the company's integrity and technical competence. We had done our research ahead of time and noted that Figueroa Landscaping holds municipal contracts with local agencies, which added a level of assurance around their professionalism. That reputation was reflected in the way they handled our project--on time, on budget, and with respect for the property and its occupants. The crew was punctual, hard-working, and clean. They took care to leave the property in excellent condition and provided updates as the work progressed. My mother felt safe and respected throughout the process. Overall, Figueroa Landscaping delivered high-quality work with honesty and professionalism. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and ethical landscaping services, particularly those who may be managing a property on behalf of an elderly relative or require a contractor they can trust to act in the client's best interest.
