Both rentals also had pool access, the home a private, heated pool that we greatly enjoyed. In addition to the properties though, the staff was excellent! We had trouble finding the first location because our gps was down and customer service guided us over the phone to the property. We also had a complementary fresh sweet bread and bottled waters left for us during our second stay. I highly recommend a stay with Five Star Beach Properties - they make the booking process (over the phone or via their user friendly website) easy, the properties are one of a kind with state of the art amenities and great views, and the customer service is fantastic.

Booked White Sands directly through Five Star in June for a September week in Destiny by the Sea…read more In July they cancelled - the home was leaving their program - and offered Storybook as the only comparable option for our dates. I took it the same day. What I didn't know then is how much their listings move. At the time I accepted, Storybook's page on their own site was headed "Storybook - Pet-Friendly Vacation Rental in Destiny by the Sea with Private Pool," with "Pet-Friendly Property" as the first item under Favorite Features. Today that same page drops the pet-friendly language entirely and the amenities list reads "No Pets Allowed." Both versions are archived and public. When I raised it, the response was that there was "no indication on the original reservation" I'd be traveling with a pet. The indication was their listing, for the home they moved me into. Nobody acknowledged it had changed. We scrambled for dog care and lost the first night of a week we'd paid for in full, and on arrival were still made to wait past 4:30 to check in. The property itself is fine. The way they handle their own mistakes is the problem.

Especially if you're going to lie. And the bugs.....they were alive and tons, I mean TO S under the couch and beds! That place had not been cleaned if forever! Toenail trimmings on the rug so bad you wouldn't even want to walk on it. Dirty rugs! Felt like they had a gummy film on them. You have a 2.5 rating....did you go and lie about all the others bad reviews too? And I didn't even mention the grill outside....covered in nasty gunk that's been on there forever and not cleaned because it was there the first time which was over 4 years ago. We didn't use it then because it was disgusting and this time too! You need a new cleaning crew and you need to stop lying!

Whether that be longer term rentals in winter months, or weekend only vs weekly rates, etc. - they have maximized my return on investment while at the same time providing more flexibility to our guests. Stacy and Chris Tuttell will not honor a contract you sign with them. We had to cancel shortly…read morebefore our trip and they refused to relist the property so we could try and get some of our money back. It was a long-shot for the property to re-rent, but Chris didn't even bother trying. I left several messages with them, but they would never return my calls. They did respond to an email, but were very rude and defensive. He is holding us to our contract, but won't honor his end of the bargain. They took no responsibility for failing to honor our contract -- I didn't even ask for a refund I just wanted to be heard and talk about the problem. Now, Chris is refusing to send me back my security deposit and cleaning fees that I prepaid -- neither of these items were ever used, so he's just a thief. These people are not fair or honest so avoid renting a property from them. If you're considering listing a house with them, please look elsewhere -- these are not people you want to work with.

She is unreachable, across all forms of communication. We arrived Saturday to our refrigerator being broken, Stacy was no where to be reached, did not contact us back at all for over twelve hours so we had to call a repairman ourselves the next day, the repairman said we had to order a part, which would take days. Stacy decided to show her face days later and inconvenience us even further by coming out at 9 o'clock at night and informed us they have had several problems with the fridge before (obviously aware of the problem) then we asked her what was she going to do for us to fix this because we didn't want to go out to eat for EVERY MEAL for fear of coronavirus and the surging rates in Florida at the time, to which Stacy literally said "oh it's totally ok to eat out, me and my husband go all the time" LOL. Fast forward to Wednesday night (the last two days of our trip) and we finally get it fixed and ask Stacy what she is going to do in the way of a partial refund for us because of the inconvenience she caused us amongst the refrigerator and whole day we had no access to the pool due to it needing to be shocked and Stacy not planning this properly either, we even had a diabetic in the house who needed to refrigerate their medicine-Stacy could care less. We have received zero compensation for the hundreds of dollars wasted on food before we realized the fridge was broken nor the countless amounts of extra money we had to pay for to-go food (obviously more expensive than groceries), or for the extra risk we were forced to put ourselves at with the coronavirus. What little communication we have had with Stacy (when she wasn't literally ignoring us for days on end) has been condescending, dismissive, and ignorant. 10 out of 10 would not recommend, way too expensive off the rip, let alone to deal with all the shocking amount of disrespect we have received. Do not book here, you will regret it. UPDATE- Stacy has refused to give us our deposit back for no reason. And is not answering calls or texts, 100% withholding and thus stealing the amount due back to us. A truly trash business and business owner. Again- DO NOT BOOK WITH BEACH'N DESTIN.

It's the management company and maintenance that is horrible. You check in at 5pm at the same time their offices closes. Even when we called the emergency line no one responded. Unreal.
