A friend had used this agency to rent a vacation home for a group of us and we loved our stay, so my husband and I decided to give it a try ourselves. Getting to the right rental has been a very difficult road (from my part, problems with my party-family-), but the agency has been exceptional. They have a wide variety of rentals from hotel rooms to big homes, and a wide range of prices for every budget. The representatives were attentive, and patient and the service was just what we needed in our situation. I am so very grateful. Their representative Sarah saved my family's summer vacation. I received an email from them 3 months before our trip stating that our rental was no longer available and offering alternate rentals that were in no way comparable to what we had initially booked. UPDATE: NO there wasn't any pool guy that came and did anything to that pool! That's a lie! The water was still low, dirty and full of debris and bugs! No one came! The bathroom light NEVER worked! And the bugs.....they were alive and tons, I mean TO S under the couch and beds! That place had not been cleaned if forever! Toenail trimmings on the rug so bad you wouldn't even want to walk on it. Dirty rugs! Felt like they had a gummy film on them. You have a 2.5 rating....did you go and lie about all the others bad reviews too? And I didn't even mention the grill outside....covered in nasty gunk that's been on there forever and not cleaned because it was there the first time which was over 4 years ago. The location and home are wonderful, which we knew as this was our THIRD time at this house. However, this is the first time staying there after new ownership through Newman Dailey. If this was our first time, I'll be honest, we probably wouldn't think anything of it, other than it being a fine experience. Due to having the apples to apples comparison we felt the "homey" welcome was lacking and is now very corporate. Things that changed are no use of bikes (they did give us a $150 gift card towards another stay, but this isn't exactly tit for tat) no extra beach towels, only one laundry and dish washing pack vs 5-6 each. No shampoo/conditoner/lotion, bars of soap only. No beach wagon/toys/use of the patio closet. Check in and check out is VERY strict as far as I could tell vs them offering it early if available for no additional cost. We also asked for sheets for the pull out after the first night due to not finding them in any closet, and we were told they'd arrive but never did. Would I tell anyone to never book with them, no, but was it as good as our past two experiences at the same place, definitely not. Due to their cancellation policy also not being near as risk free, we will be back to our pre booked vacation next year, however if we would be able to get out of it with no loss I think we would do this. read more

Wow, my family had a great stay at Rolling Tides in Destin!  This house is absolutely wonderful! ****Here are some of the highlights**** - This house is new and you could tell.  Everything was clean and fresh! - About 250 steps to the beach - awesome! - No one had to share bathrooms and there was plenty of hot water since they have 2 tankless water heaters! - Each floor had their own temperature controls which was nice for people who wanted to sleep with a colder temp - Two laundry stations! - In the kitchen / living area, where we spent most of our time, there was cephalon cookware, Chicago cutlery knives (sharp!), Keurig for the coffee drinkers, and plenty of room to sit at the table, stand around, and hang out which was really nice! - Plenty of towels, TV's in each room, and if you heat the pool (we were there in December), it gets into the mid-80's which was warm enough for the kiddos - The Newman Dailey team is responsive and I like that you can reach them via text. ****Here are some of the challenges we encountered**** - One of the doors was coming off the door frame (this was fixed the next day) - The pool was not heated when we arrived even though we paid for it (it took a couple of visits but it was corrected - we basically lost one night of pool use) ****Here are some things to be aware of**** - The Wifi seemed slow.  There was some buffering on the TV which was not the end of the world but annoying.  Some websites would load slow too so if you are having zoom meetings, you should be aware of this. - The outdoor shower is not in a good location.  There are no pavers underneath and it is too far from the pool and not easy to access when you come from the beach. - The doors should be sprayed with WD-40 since some of them creak.  This isn't a big thing but hopefully Newman Dailey will see it and take care of it since it is an easy fix. - There really isn't any outdoor dining space.  It would be nice to get a table out there even if it is small. - The pool is small but most pools are small in the area.  It works for the kids but it gets tight really quick when you have a handful of kids in there. We chose Emerald Dunes because the pool was heated. The day we got to the property, we found that the pool and spa were both closed. I do not go on vacation for the beach - I am a pool person. This was very aggravating, especially, since it would have been appropriate for Newman-Dailey to offer its guests at Emerald Dunes to use the facilities at another property they manage. The wife and I rent a condo in Destin once or twice a year and have been trying new locations. This is by far our worst experience. Stayed in unit 720 in Jade East. Master bedroom bed was unusable as the padding had shifted leaving just a thin bit of fabric between you and the springs. Add to that the noise the springs made and there is no sleeping on that bed. We spent a good deal of money renting this condo only to have the wife and I sleeping in recliners. The owner was contacted regarding the mattress and replied that he slept on it over Thanksgiving and everything was fine, so no action was taken. One of the patio doors, and the laundry area doors were broken. Master bedroom shower door sounded like the glass was breaking every time it was opened and closed. Dishes had food stuck to them and one bowl had mold and a dead cockroach under the rim. The bottom socket, in most electrical outlets did not work. Living room ceiling fan had no way to turn on. Ice maker in wet bar was inoperable and dirty. It was very weird seeing family photos throughout the condo. The only reason this review received two stars is the ease of check in and check out, as well as the friendliness of the staff. We may be brave and try out Jade East again, but #720 will not be in our future. read more

We had a pretty major hiccup with our condo (Summer Breeze) and Newman Dailey did everything to fix the issue for us. They are always so amazing to work with and so friendly. Really disappointing and frustrating experience with Newman-Dailey. Purchased Red Sky Travel Insurance at Newman-Dailey's recommendation and through their booking site. Cancelled trip due to Tropical Storm Alberto and state of emergency declared by Gov Rick Scott. In spite of storm surge watch, likely flooding, and predicted damaging winds reported by the National Weather Service and the National Hurricane Center, I was told I would not receive a refund unless there was a mandatory hurricane evacuation. Newman-Dailey will not even refund the $175 cleaning fee for a condo we are not using! I guess they are pocketing that too. Our family has been vacationing in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, every year for 14 years and have never had a bad customer service experience until now. Borderline deceptive business practices. UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We rented a property in Destin through VRBO, under a different management company. A couple of months later, the owner of this property decided to switch management company to Newman Daily and asked us to rebook the reservation with them. When we called to rebook - Newman Daily didn't want to honor what we had already paid. Instead, they quoted us price for the same exact property on the same dates that was DOUBLE the price we paid with the old management company. We were basically forced to look for a different property last minute if we didn't want to pay double. read more

Stayed in Jade East 0510 September 26 - October 3. When we arrived the unit was much smaller than the pictures online. They must have used some kind of WIDE angle lens. Our feet were black with dirt after one hour of being in the unit as the floors were so dirty. There was still sand on the floor from the previous tenants. Huge leak under the kitchen sink that had been there for some time as the cabinet base was coming apart. Plumber came on Sunday and turned off the hot water. Came back on Monday to replace the faucet. Newman Dailey Property Mgmt started calling about putting Commercial Fans and Dehumidifiers in the unit before we even arrived. Something to do with the Hurricane from 3 weeks before. They did not offer to move us. Just wanted us to put up with the noise and heat. ServePro showed up on day two to put dehumidifiers in our unit. We refused and had to argue. Day three ServerPro came back with dehumidifiers. We refused again. Then two men from Newman Dailey Property Management showed up at our door and said that if we didn't allow them to put the equipment inside, they would evict us. Now this vacation is starting to become stressful! We refused again and finally they backed off. The unit did not have water anywhere in it other than under the sink. Not sure where all of that water was going. The Dishwasher must have been broken. We started it numerous times, but it would never finish a cycle or clean the dishes. So with 5 of us in the unit, counting a 15 month old, we washed dishes by hand all week. The beds in two of the rooms were worn out. When two people laid down on the bed you immediately rolled to the middle of the bed. The view was nice. The master bed was ok. Dishes were plentiful. Not a trash can liner in sight. Pretty much everything else about the rental and property management company SUCKED! Our hopes and illusions of a luxurious vacation experience where we would be pampered and treated like kings was completely destroyed from the very start!! I couldn't find the email with the code to get in to our condo on arrival. I called the customer support number where I was scolded and ridiculed for not being able to find the email that they had sent me. Finally after humbly apologizing and accepting all the blame they reluctantly gave me the code. Next we never were able to access the "included activities" such as snorkeling, helicopter rides, etc... Now the worst after we had decided to relinquish any plans of extra events and even being "taken care of" we focused on the beautiful beach and the nice clean condo. We went to check in as instructed to the beach station where we were greeted by two young handsome guys who took us to "our chairs and umbrellas" we noticed the sign that tips were appreciated so we gave them a generous tip. Everything seemed to be getting better until while we were in the gulf swimming we looked up and the same fella who had placed us in "our chairs" was taking our bag, phones, hats, and towels and through them on the beach behind the row of chairs!!! We were waiving and calling out but to no avail. All our things were covered with sand - even our cell phones!! So I went back to the station to find out why we had been kicked out of our seats. The guys were condescending and rude. They said we were in someone else's seats and that wasn't allowed. I reminded them that they had placed us there and that we were guest there. They then proceeded to blame us for not clarifying our room number etc... they never took responsibility. We were humiliated and mad. We then went to the pool to cool off. The guys walked by and looked at us as they laughed and whispered. Needless to say we will never go back! In stead of being treated like kings we were treated like intruders - super disrespectful and very disappointing!!! read more

Be very careful when booking through this company. We were booked for the weekend to come to the seafood festival, the festival was cancelled due to a tropical storm that the weather channel advised would become a named Hurricane prior to landfall. I called to cancel and was advised that a named hurricane was not enough for them to cancel, it would have to be a named hurricane AND Destin would have to be under MANDATORY evacuation. Needless to say we are out of a lot of money. This was my third time using them and I always purchase the insurance thinking I would be covered however this was not the case. Definitely my last time using this company and I will inform all my other friends and family that travel to this area a lot to be weary of this company as well. Moving forward I will be looking for another company to offer my business too. read more

If you would spend $5 only you could made our stay much more comfortable, I spend $4200 for five days, you could spend $5 for a role napkins and one extra toilet tissue ands scrubber in kitchen.(one role of napkins in kitchen the lowest quality and lowest quantity 30 cents from sam`s for 8 people for 5 days) every day we had to run to store for something, if you are in business of renting your house I suggest to you once just once rent from someone to find out the amenity they provide. forget the fruit basket . tork read more

We were here for the first time and booked direct with the company. Had a great experience with customer service when booking and during the check in. We also had a little internet issue which they resolved very quick. The reason I put 2 stars is because of the condition of the house. We rented "Footsteps to the beach". The decor of the house is as is in the pictures but the condition is SO SO SOOOOOO MUCH WORSE. The big fan in the living room was so dusty you could see chunks of dust hanging from it. Baseboards and other lamps and fans were super dusty as well. The couches had suspicious dirty spots. The wall papers in the bathrooms were ripped in multiple places. And THE most discussing thing was dirty blankets/quilts on the beds and gross food drips on the kitchen cabinets. I won't go back there (at least to this particular house)!!! read more

There were several times we couldn't even use the pool due to men working around it. Also the work started early mornings and was quite annoying. My friends and I booked a house for Spring Break. The house we booked was called Bahama Breeze on 83 Woodward St. I personally wouldn't recommend this particular house or go back to this selected house again due to the lack of maintenance. The private pool was why we really wanted the house but it was very cold an dirty. The plates and utensils were all dirty upon arrival... which is so disgusting. We had to mostly buy all plastic plates and utensils because we were disgusted with what they had provided us. Not to mention the king bed is filthy. We only notice when we took all the sheets off... did they think we wouldn't find the dirty mattress? A picture of the king bed is attached to this. Who knows what the other beds look like because we didn't even check. We were just so disgusted. What kind of business does this... Highly recommend to never book for this house and I wouldn't book from this business again because the other houses are probably the same. They also need to do deep cleaning with their carpets or get some fresh ones. The sink and bathtub/shower sucks!!! It would take forever to drain. Such an disappointing trip. read more

We stayed this past weekend at the carribean west condos and I was very impressed. Condo was clean and comfortable for my family of 6 and it was a short walk across the street to the beach. Check in was quick and welcoming and check out was easy. We had a broken bed frame upon arrival but Jason who was the maintenance man made an effort to make sure it was fixed right away. They even placed a courtesy call to ask if he can enter the condon while we were out. Our next vacation is already booked through them. read more

We stayed in 630 of Jade Tower. First day we arrived and tried to go to bed we found the master bed broken. My husband called and they said it would be two days before they could come out. We raised the broken side of the bed with a trash can. Lol They came the next day and fixed it, no phone call or notification that someone was coming. The bed was fixed but my clothes were rolled up in the sheets which were not put back on the bed and partially on the floor. The shower was so moldy, I've never seen more mold in a shower than this one. We ended up buying bleach and cleaning some of it the best we could. On day 3 we woke up at 6am due to hammering and the right before 9am they started jackhammering! It shook the whole building! We called about this, they said it was only for today and no other day will they jackhammer. She said she could move us down the street but we said we would stay if she's certain that it would only be one day. Plus some guy she connected me to said they never start jackhammering before 9am. Woke up at 8am the next day to jackhammering and shaking the whole building. I was lied to by two different people about this. They do not handle things appropriately. Nothing like having to wear earplugs walking around your condo during the day. We would have moved if they were honest and we could have planned our time better if we were told the truth, this company needs better management. The unit is in a good location but it needs updating. The view and the beach access are the best things about staying here. The pics on the website have to be from years ago. The AC doesn't work properly. The front of the condo is 15 degrees cooler than the back and the master doesn't cool much at night. read more

We searched for a 3 be rental and Unit 409 at Beach Retreat came up and if you look at the pictures on line, you would think the "bunk room" was an actual room. It turned out to be a closet. Very misleading and misrepresented. We called immediately upon check in on Saturday and never received a response until Thursday evening after emailing and calling for several days because "the manager" was out on vacation and then off with sick kids. The response received was "sorry, don't know what I can do about that now". I guess not, since we only have 1day of vacation left. In addition, the silverware had dried food and dead bugs on it and very few bathroom towels were provided, which left us doing laundry daily. Have been coming to Destin for over 25 years and Beach Retreat the past 4 years. As big as Newman Daily is and with as many properties as they handle, I find it hard to believe and totally unacceptable there is only one person who can respond to issues like these. Folks only get one vacation every now and then and to be responsible for making sure things go well, and to be so non-responsive is unacceptable. Last week we stayed in Hidden Dunes (Miramar Beach / Destin) in 3 bedroom condo # 1106. The condo stunk very heavy on mold, temp. of the condo was set at 78F. Couches in living room are very old and dirty like many other pieces of furniture. Kitchen was very poorly equipped. Many plates, glasses, cups were chipped and cracked that we simply could not use. Oven did not work so we could not bake anything. The kitchen had only 6 spoons total (4 large and 2 small once). We killed about 3 large roaches in a week (I guess I should take a hint when i saw roach spray under the sink). Beds in each bedroom were very hard and bedding was very old. The AC was not working properly and all 3 bedrooms were very hot. This is the first time that we rented from this company and it will be our last time. For the company that charges $4000.00 a week for stay and not putting money back into the renovation is steeling and pathetic. Bathrooms are gross, they smell moldy and they are outdated. The whole place is old. For this much money per week I expected much cleaner and updated place. I would not recommend this company especially the condo # 1106. Simply discussing. read more
