My stylist, Serki, was incredible, I was so disheartened after checking out another shop the day before and was worried my points weren't getting across. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and the first two dresses she pulled were on the right track, but she took my comments into account and pulled my dress for me on her third try! It was a really lovely experience, we may have been there on a slow day but she let us take lots of pictures and FaceTime my wedding party. She was also great with helping me try on some different accessories and decide on the style of veil I wanted! I was worried about trying what I thought was a smaller boutique but they had an amazing selection, and I was impressed with them trying to help me stay in budget and buying my dress off the rack! Thanks ladies!! Very metro accessible, we metro-ed to King St Old Town and were prepared to walk but the free trolley took us just a few blocks away!

I felt very attended to. I also didn't feel judged by them for getting a wedding dress with only a few months left. They asked me what I wanted, and I told them, but they also had me try on many different styles which were all so beautiful, elegant styles. I found a dress that I adored, but it needed some alterations. The bust area was just showing too much. I asked them if they thought they could add more to the dress to cover it up. They said they could definitely make it work. After a few more consultations, we arrived at the final dress. We added sleeves with some extra material they had left in the store and the seamstress beautifully covered the front of the dress. It was so professionally done that it didn't even look like there were extra pieces added to the dress. I am so in love with the dress that I wore and I want to keep it forever. I am so grateful to the ladies at Bridals by Natalie for going above and beyond to make me look stunning on my wedding day. I will never forget your kindness and graciousness towards me.

However, it's a nicer storefront and they have some great dress options. They have in house Seamtress - alterations on your dress is typically starting around $1,200 depending on what you change. I ordered one of their custom dresses that they created with a designer. I further customized my dress with adding a longer train to it and adding a slit. I will say I've seen variations of my dress online by other designers, but I think my quality dress appeared like it was better material. I felt like the customer service varied depending on who you got that day. Some people seemed more kind and tried their best to be accommodating and others seemed like they were just trying to be done for the day. I had around 3 fittings. I could bring 2 people with me each time. They have sample sales available and there's two locations for this company. Overall, if you want the dream dress experience this is not it. However, if you just want to buy your dress and you don't need all the extra bell and whistles (e.g champagne, back drops, private fittings) then this is a good choice. They packaged my dress, veil, and hair band nicely upon receiving everything and they provide a contract with most of the main details of your purchase. You have to pay for everything before you can take the dress (obviously). Overall, if I could do it all again I would probably go with another dress company. That's because I'm extra for the price I ended up paying in total which was around $7K I could've probably gone to a higher end bridal shop with more elevated experience. BUT they checked the boxes and accommodated most of my needs.

They've simply moved on and created this wonderful salon. We weren't previous clients, but their reputation definitely preceded them. On a Saturday around 4:00 PM, my wife and I decided on a spur-of-the-moment manicure and pedicure date. Anyone who regularly visits nail salons knows that's usually a recipe for disappointment. Either the salon is fully booked, the wait is outrageous, or you end up with the technician nobody else wanted. Thankfully, luck was on our side. I went online and found only two appointment slots remaining. We selected our services, submitted the request, and within five minutes our appointment was confirmed. Shortly afterward, we received a phone call confirming everything and letting us know we could even arrive a little earlier if we'd like. Our appointment was scheduled for 5:15 PM. N & J Nails is located in Alexandria, just a few minutes from Potomac Yard and on the same block as Founding Farmers. Depending on traffic, the 9-mile drive from our home can take anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour. Thankfully, we made it in just under 30 minutes. Parking was easy. There is both street parking and garage parking available. We chose street parking and paid $4 for two hours, but learned that garage parking can be validated. When we arrived, we were greeted by the same gentleman who had called to confirm our appointment. It wasn't the typical "you're the last appointment of the day, let's get this over with" greeting. It felt like they had genuinely been expecting us and were happy we were there. We were offered beverages and snacks, then settled into the massage chairs for our pedicures. My wife worked with Tina while I had Linda. After reviewing the menu and confirming our selections, they made a few recommendations and got started. My wife chose a spa manicure and spa pedicure with gel polish and builder gel to help strengthen and grow out her natural nails. My service included callus removal, nail trimming and shaping, cuticle care, orange slices, a sea salt and mint mud foot mask, relaxing massage treatments, oil lotion massage, and hot towels. The total before tip was approximately $250 for both of us. Before Linda began, I warned her that I'm extremely ticklish. I usually end up asking technicians to skip the foot massage because it's never enjoyable. Not this time. For the first time ever, I was actually able to enjoy a foot massage. Linda clearly knew exactly what she was doing. There were a couple brief moments during the callus removal that tickled a little, but compared to every other pedicure I've received, it was minimal. The scrub, water temperature, calf massage, foot massage, and overall technique were absolutely perfect. The finished pedicure was flawless. Smooth feet. Perfectly trimmed and shaped nails. No pain. No bleeding. No rushing. What impressed me most was her attention to detail. Even after I would have been completely satisfied, she continued checking, refining, and perfecting her work. She clearly takes pride in what she does. The manicure was equally impressive. Every nail and cuticle received the same level of care and precision. Nothing felt rushed. Everything looked clean, polished, and professional. The hand massage was fantastic as well. I actually started writing this review on Saturday but intentionally waited until Monday to finish it because I wanted to see how everything held up. Two days later? Still perfect. My wife wrote her own review specifically for Tina, but she was equally impressed. Both Tina and Linda were exceptional. Throughout the appointment we shared laughs, had great conversation, and by the end it felt less like visiting a business and more like spending time with people who genuinely care about their clients. Even Ben stopped by toward the end and joined the conversation. That's what makes N & J Nails special. The services were excellent. The salon was spotless. Throughout our visit, staff continuously cleaned and maintained the space. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and relaxing. Most importantly, every person there genuinely seemed to care about delivering the best experience possible. Usually you get lotion and a little massage, but none of that was included. At that point I just wanted to get my nails done and leave. For my manicure, the technician used a portable UV lamp that made my nails burn. It was really uncomfortable, and he didn't seem concerned when I mentioned it. I got a French tip, and you could clearly see my nail beds through the polish. When I told him I wasn't happy with how it looked, he just said it was my natural nail instead of trying to fix it. The most disappointing part was the quality. I tipped, left, and in less than 24 hours my thumbnail had already chipped. That has never happened to me before not even when I do my own nails at home. I ended up going to a nail salon in South Carolina, and they immediately told me the nails weren't done well and that they wouldn't last. They also added a better nude base color so you couldn't see my nail beds anymore, which made a huge difference. That showed me that my nails could have been done correctly at Old Town Nail & Spa, but they simply weren't. They also told me more chipping was likely to happen. I paid a lot of money because I wanted my nails to look nice for a wedding that weekend, and instead I got poor-quality nails and disappointing customer service. Sadly, I won't be coming back.

The owner can speak some English, but it may help to have someone who can speak Korean present. Like I said, she can come almost anywhere to help provide everything you need for the Pyebaek ceremony. She helps the bride and groom get ready by making sure the clothes are correct, and fixes the brides hair in a bun with accessories. She also helps with the bowing to make sure the bride doesn't fall, since the attire can be a bit heavy, and helps to pour the tea/soju that the couple gives to their family members. She is there with you every step of the way, so all you need to do is follow her lead and she will take great care of you. They provided EVERYTHING - the clothes, tables, decorations, backdrop, tea, food, and are there during your ceremony to usher you through the customs. All you do is show up. They provided beautifully plated food requisite for the ceremony although you could also get the fake version as well. There are several women's and men's hanbok designs and accessory options to chose from. She will teach the couple how to bow gracefully in preparation for the ceremony. She will tie the bride's hair into a bun so that she can fit it with traditional accessories and finish her off with two bright pink circle stickers. The owner did a fantastic job and made the ceremony stress free. They also sell home good products straight from Korea - so it is a little pricey but is authentic and of quality.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding Style, I woke up with a big honking zit on the side of my cheek right before the wedding and she was able to flawlessly cover everything up without blinking twice. On my wedding day, it was important that all of my seven bridesmaids and myself were able to each maintain our individual look and personality with our hair and makeup and she was able to work her magic on us with finesses.Our group included many different skin types, ages and races and every single person was pleased with her work. Her services include complimentary airbrushing and false eyelash application which was also pretty fab considering her prices. I am the type of girl whose makeup wipes off within five minutes of application so I was surprised when my makeup lasted the entire day -- through sweat, tears, and all! My highest recommendations.

It was a delight getting to know her during the trial and she did a fabulous job on my makeup and hair (and the hair for my maid of honor and one of my bridesmaids). My makeup really stayed on during the day even though I was a crying mess most of the time (I made sure to get airbrush makeup). Everyone loved the way she did my updo- it was quite intricate and really showed the color in my hair. The only complaint I had was that the two bridesmaids who had their hair done by the assistant said they weren't as happy with the finished look and they felt like their requests were not heard. But overall I had a great experience and felt beautiful on my wedding day!
