Tonight I had to come to the Phoenix Mountain View police station to make a theft report and I found this gorgeous Greek Orthodox Church named 'Holy Trinity' that pegged my interest so after my business with the police I visited the church. The entry gates were wide open and there was about a dozen cars in the parking lot. I walked through the beautiful, clean and orderly facility calling out for someone with no response . The place was immaculate, fully loaded with plenty of bathrooms, classrooms and offices with lots of activities posted especially at the cultural centre. I finally reached the enormous chapel wrapped in beautiful stained glass and huge wooden doors and I thought I heard whispering which instantly became silence as I opened the heavy doors and stepped inside. I found myself alone in an empty chapel decorated elaborately with brass, satin, heavy drapes and giant bibles posed open to selected pages. I started getting a negative feeling as I approached one of the bibles to see what page it modelled I called out, "Hello hello hello? Anyone here? Did I miss something? Did the Raptor happen and I got left behind?" Suddenly a big man wearing a filthy mask burst out from somewhere in the drapes angrily stating that they don't believe in any of that stuff, that church was over, that they didn't want me there and to leave their church NOW. He was towering over me and saying repeatedly that I had to leave NOW. So I replied that I had found the answer that I was seeking in my church shopping because I was seeking GODS church, not their church and I said to him that God says come as you are to His church which I believe inferiates he and their church because still today souls seek God Almighty willingly without the falsities, tricks or excessive force of a counterfeit. He started towards me demanding my immediate vacate as I was OTD saying thank you Jesus

I've been in a few Orthodox Churches in my life. Holy Trinity is surely one of the most modern and…read morebeautiful churches I've seen. And, it has seats! Most Orthodox churches would be very familiar to other Christian dominations. There is a Narthex (rear area), Nave (where members sit) and a Sanctuary (behind the Rood Screen or Deacon's Doors) where the Tabernacle is kept. In Orthodox churches, the Deacon's Doors are adorn with beautiful Icons. It's also meant to separate the non-baptized catechumens, and usually only priests or acolytes that can enter it. We were here for the Baptism of one of our friend's new born (photos) and the traditions were very moving. The three blessings of the child. The three renouncings of satan. Everything in threes in accordance and a nod to the Trinity. The Priest was very welcoming, taking time to explain the different parts of the service during this seventy minute Baptism. It was very spiritual experience and I would highly recommend it to all explorers who find themselves on a journey.

7/18/2026 Broadway Christian Church's…read more "Frugal Fashion Show " in the Family Life Center. This was a charity fundraiser for the underserved and a fun way to get people together to support a great cause. The event opened and closed with prayer, there was worship singing, small bites and a fabulous Frugal Fashion Show. Models had to spend less than $30 at thrift shops to choose clothing to model. All of that to show fashion doesn't have to be expensive. I captured photos and videos from the show. And not slighting anyone of the models as clearly they showed how nice thrifty can look; I have to say The cutest little girl stole the show. She was spectacular! What a beautiful event for a truly worthy charity. Charity and giving are blessings for those in need but giving brings untold blessing to our heart! Be kind, be loving, be long suffering, Amen.

I called yesterday morning before I attended the service that was advertised on their website. I…read moreattended the Bible study yesterday, in hopes of feeling welcome and just simply study the Bible - surprised? they were. When I walked in, confidently sat down and pulled out my Bible. Just to find out, they weren't even studying the BIBLE. They were studying some other book. I followed suit. I was offered food, thank you SO much. God bless the hands that made the homemade fried rice. That woman is awesome. -the said woman I am talking about, she started speaking. I was listening to her while continuing to HOPE that this would be exactly what "I needed" .... Meanwhile. A man interrupted her VERY loudly and said "well. To the new comers, this is my FRIEND Julie" ..... his wife was sitting right next to him. Anywho. He told us all about Julie and her story. Awesome. I felt a LITTLE comfortable to speak, so I did. Just trying to relate or share? Idk. ..... when they found out a little about me & my background, it was almost as is if all the oxygen in the room had been sucked out CLEAN. By what? ...judgement. I was immediately reminded why I choose to study the Bible alone. "They were given an inch & took a mile" -some might say. (; Needless to say, I could go on about how I sat there and tried to ignore their words or expressions. As if I were some criminal they had just invited into THEIR home. .... Funny I thought I was at church? Gods house. ‍ didn't feel like it to me. With that being said, thank you. For this learning opportunity. Thank you for the food. Thank you for your judgement. I figured you all probably wondered why I came and left, maybe you thought I was homeless and needed free food. please don't stop being kind. Just work on not passing judgement to those here to make the world a better place. Thank you for coming to my ted talk. Don't worry. I prayed for you guys to read this. So I know you will -the girl "from" Tacoma Washington. Wouldn't ya know it, I had to come back on here to make sure ALL of YOU KNOW, how I was hunted down on MY OWN social media & "confronted" by a request from- God knows who (; but let's just say "BCC CHURCH" because I decided to speak honestly and truthfully about my experience. After traveling the world for work and then traveling after retirement this church is our PERFECT connection to get us reconnected to the church (God's people). Pastor Dave is a cool guy, very people friendly and has a message for you. I have to mention the music worship team - GREAT! This isn't a mega church producing mega performances but a church of believers that I want to spend time with when I get back there in October.

I am so incredibly impressed by the sermons of the pastor Dave Abbatacola. If I miss a Sunday , I like to watch it on you tube - Before I found this church I had searched for a place where I truly could see God's love in the people . I'm sure there are imperfections but for me I only see God's love , his word , his people . This church has great integrity and it's a place I found where I can be a part of a community that genuinely cares about others.

We appreciate the welcoming and family atmosphere in this place. The congregation loves having kids in the service, even with all their noises and commentary. The music is very traditional, singing from the hymnal, however their ensemble is remarkable! They have a choir, an organist, bells, sometimes an orchestra. The talent this church produces is phenomenal. I recommend you give it a try! You will feel welcomed by all members and the pastoral staff.
