Great first experience! The first time helpers/staff were really nice and very helpful. We were looking for a church that is more kid friendly and this church's set up is amazing! I was very impressed with the classrooms and the check in/out system. Security at this church is also very impressive. With all the crazy in the world today, unfortunately, that was high on my list of things I was looking for. There was even an officer in uniform on campus during the service. The sermon was wonderful. Gave a great message. Seems very conservative and I love that. I think the only complaints were the worship music was very, very loud. I brought my infant with me to service and I wish I had brought his earmuffs. Next time I'll remember to bring those. Also, exiting after the service from the parking lot was kind of a mess. Not sure what the solution is for that but people were driving in for the next service as we all were leaving. Seemed chaotic. There were traffic directors, one was dancing and having a great time, but it still seemed like there needed to be more direction. They probably shouldn't allow lefts out on Ellsworth, it seemed to be slowing everything down. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and we will be back. My daughter (4) keeps asking when we get to go back to our new church. So it was a hit! read more

I really like this church but please be prepared to be escorted out of the main auditorium almost as soon as the first or second time your kid makes a sound. That's not a big deal, I don't really mind but im begginggg, begging the staff to either turn up the volume for the tv in the other room or let it play on the loud speaker that's above the tv. They play it on overhead speakers throughout the building and it's impossible to hear as soon as anyone else in the room has a private conversation, and after coming here for a couple months, it's usually staff... not a big deal either, just please put the volume on the speaker above the tv. No problems (of significance) with this church. Visited today (06/15/25), and heard a solid Father's Day message. I particularly enjoyed the pastor's disdain for political correctness. We need more leaders who stand against the tide. He seems no-nonsense when it comes to Biblical teaching -- based on my one visit. And, the worship is about Jesus, not how the singer feels. My only issues are... 1. The style of the worship music (volume level, spotlights swinging around), and 2. The size of the church (they need four services, which says it's a large church; I prefer a smaller church since you get to know the pastor personally a lot better, and it's harder to get lost or missed). But... based on my one visit today, if you're seeking a large church, and one that is Christ-focused, this is a good one to check out. read more

I went there a few times by myself and noticed a sign up that said, "If you get up during the service, you are not allowed to go back to your seat and have to sit in the back.". I thought that was ridiculous! Then, I went to church there and took my twin great grand kids.Because they were 5 years old, I brought them food, coloring books, crayons and a few quiet toys. We sat in the balcony and they sang and listened to the sermon. I thought I they behaved really good and they enjoyed their time there. They could even tell me what they learned afterwards. The next Sunday we went, an usher came and told us we couldn't sit in the balcony so we went down on the front left side. The usher came again and said we couldn't sit there either. He then walked us to the door to leave. Apparently they don't like children in church. I will never go back there. We then went to Central Christian Church that same Sunday and as we were entering church, (even though we were late) the man at the door said, " Welcome, it's so good to see children in church. We sat in the front row and there were kids of all ages up in front of the stage singing and worshiping Jesus! Which church would you rather go to? read more

This church has a lot of energy! The volunteers are incredibly friendly, and it's clear they have a strong sense of community with many great programs. It's a very welcoming environment. That being said, my husband and I have decided that it's not the right fit for us. The church is extremely conservative, and certain messages from the pulpit have raised concerns for us. One of the first moments that gave us pause was a sermon on spanking, where Pastor Ryan used Old Testament passages to support physical discipline. As foster parents, we know there are many effective and compassionate ways to guide children without physical punishment, and it was unsettling to hear such a broad statement given to a large audience. Another moment that stood out was a sermon encouraging people to bring friends to church--which is wonderful in principle. However, Pastor Ryan made a comment implying that newer Christians likely have a lot of 'sinner' friends. I personally know many people who don't attend church yet live with more kindness and integrity than some lifelong Christians. It saddened me to think that such language might push away those who already feel unwelcome in faith communities. The final concern came when Pastor Ryan gave a sermon about a 'different' kind of Jesus--one who is not tolerant and gets angry. I am very familiar with the passages he referenced, and in context, Jesus was often angered by religious hypocrisy, not by those outside the faith. He also displayed the 'coexist' symbol and stated that all religions besides Christianity are from Satan. Considering that Jesus himself was Jewish, this perspective felt divisive rather than reflective of Christ's love. If these messages resonate with you, this church may be a great fit. However, we are looking for a church that fosters unity, humility, and a welcoming spirit toward all people. Because of that, we will not be returning. read more

My husband and I found this church at one of the hardest times in our life. Pastor Ryan's messages were so helpful as we were navigating through these situations. He is not afraid to speak what the Bible says and does it in such a funny and relatable way. We recently moved to Nashville Tennessee and we have been searching for a "Generation" type church there. After months of searching I am proud to say we found one that is pretty close. We Miss Az and our church home but are so happy for the years we were able to be a part of such a wonderful church family. I highly recommend Generation Church. I was born and raised east coast and grew up in a Methodist Church that my family attended every Sunday -faithfully. I never thought I would find a church that felt more like "home" than my childhood church. Fast forward, we moved to Arizona and my husband drove by and suggested that I try this church. At the time we lived right down the road. I instantly felt the Holy Spirit working in me. And now my daughter, her husband & their baby attend -as well as- my son, his girlfriend, and his girlfriend's brother! We never miss unless we are out of town. We even moved further away to North Phoenix and still drive the 1 hr 10 minute commute every Sunday to attend this church that has changed all of our lives. I love church now more than I ever have The most important thing is that the Pastor(s) follow the Bible and preach the Bible. NOT bowing to the world's views and opinions. That's very important to me. I often hear things that challenge me and I'm thankful for their strength in God's word because I have become more like who GOD wants me to be and less of who I thought I wanted to be. Praise God! I also love all of the extra events that they hold regularly. My favorites so far have been: *Worship nights *Wife Up events *Beautiful Girls conferences *Girls nights. I love that they hold events of all kinds. Men events, women events, kids events, coed events! They cover all of the bases. I am currently looking to get into a life group. Even though I live so far away, I feel like the Holy Spirit is telling me to dig deeper! I am craving more than my personal relationship with God and my regular Sunday attendances. I love being able to surround myself with people who love God as much as I do! I highly recommend trying Generation Church at least once! read more

I was introduced to this church from attending a Turning Point event. Because this church hosted this, I decided to visit them on Sunday (yesterday) for one of their church services. Hearing the Pastor's sermon yesterday 100% will have me returning. When you aren't afraid to speak about the current state of our country, and you aren't silence about it, you have my support and respect! Good for this church/pastor for speaking the truth and not sugar coating anything for fear of being "cancelled". The media called you an extremist, so I guess that makes me an extremist as well. When we moved to Arizona last year we 'church hopped' for a few months to see if we could find teaching as good as we had at our former church! There were a few good churches and a few that put even me to sleep (sadly)! But when we got to Generation Church in Mesa we knew it was the one!! Pastor Ryan is an in-depth, honest, un-afraid, knowing-the-Word, teacher!!! We love that he's bold, not worried about stepping on toes, and only only teaches the Word of God as it should be taught!!! And because we're older we absolutely love the Chapel (and associate Pastor Jeff) with it's calmer/quieter music, but there are times when I just put ear plugs in (my husband takes his hearing aids out LOL) and we enjoy the great worship in the main sanctuary!! If you are truly wanting to know, learn, and understand the Word of God, this is the church! read more

Today was our first time went to the evening service and my 10 month old was babbling to himself, wasn't crying or throwing a fit shortly got asked to wait in the hallway so he wouldn't disrupt the pastor. Mind you the closest person was 10 ft away. Pastor was literally giving a speech about how innocent babies were and yet the usher didn't seem to really understand what he was preaching. Unless you're single or you trust random people with your infant upon first arriving don't attend I recently just read someone had the same issue hope this helps and God bless read more

I really liked this church up until my 5 month old got kicked out of the sanctuary. All she was doing was babbling to herself, she wasn't bothering anyone. You could still hear the pastor just fine. Usher comes up to us to tell me that I have to check her into to their "little Gs" because she was getting too loud. I would understand if she was crying/wailing and wasn't stopping but she literally was chilling to herself. I was not comfortable checking her into their kids ministry because, 1. It was my first time there, I don't know these people 2. She is not fully vaccinated, I am not trying to have her around other kids rn where she is easily susceptible to things especially with RSV going around. It was great worship, great message. Just not baby friendly for moms who have their own reasons for keeping their kids with them. read more

My wife and I began attending Generation Church about a year and a half ago when we became dissatisfied with not only our previous church but frankly many churches that are not biblically addressing current world issues. When our previous pastor was asked for the churches perspective on certain issues he would say, "folks we are not going there". There are too many pastors who are avoiding these difficult topics for a number of reasons. First they may not want to rock the boat, secondly they may not want to be put in a uncomfortable position and they may not want to risk losing members, just to name a few. On our first visit to Generation Church we immediately fell in love with this church because of the authenticity and love from the members, the powerful worship, and Pastor Ryan's unwavering devotion to lovingly teach the whole truth according to the bible. It's obvious that so many other people are looking for a church with this kind of commitment and passion because the attendance has increased about 1500 people since we have started attending a year and a half ago. read more

Had an impossible time trying to get ahold of Pastor Ryan and or First Lady to talk with about what happened in their CR groups and with the staff there. I reached out on emails, voice mails, and social media. My family and I attended for almost 5 months very let down that they would allow this and not follow through especially after teaching on bearing false witness on the 10 commandments series. My faith is in Jesus alone but really let down especially since we reached out for help desperately not for anything other than a Shepard to come beside us and give directions on how to navigate a hard time! read more

I wanted to like this church, I really did and the first visit was awesome. The opening music was a band that left my heart full and had me crying with joy. The sermon was a tad boring and the message was straight from the bible. However the pastor's translation of it left me with a few misgivings. The second time I visited, again the music had me in happy tears but the sermon was quite a different story. The sermon was ALL about tithing which I have a problem with from the get-go because that is an invention of man, not God. Sure it is written in the bible but remember the bible was written by man ostensibly by God's direction, but was it really? Did God really care if the church made money? Money being an invention of man and all. I figure if God or Jesus wanted 10% of my income they would take it and I would happily give. My hackles rose when the pastor declared if you don't give ten percent of your income to the church you were "robbing Jesus." What?! Pardon me?? He ranted for a good half hour using that phrase over and over before I got up and walked out, never to return. Still ticks me off remembering. So go if you want to if this is your thing and ask yourself if the church is going to pay your rent if you can't because you've just given it ten percent of your income. Will it feed your kids and pay your electric bill? Sorry, this place is not for me. The two stars are based on the music alone. read more

I was brought to this church on PURPOSE. I met some wonderful ladies and very happy with that. However Pastor Ryan is unprofessional, arrogant, and downright rude. He values his own opinions highly. He preaches religion and LAW. You wont see our conversation on FB because it was deleted after I was asked to LEAVE their recovery program for daring to challenge his stand on the LAW which he seems to be obsessed with. I have attended a lot of churches in my life, but I have never felt they were 'home'. Generation church has such an incredible culture , everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The kids ministry is amazing, and they teach age appropriate content that coincides with our messages which is amazing. Pastor Ryan always has a very engaging delivery, relating the Bible to current events and life, and the worship is amazing! My only negative review would be that the stage spotlights shine right in your eyes if you sit in the middle during worship , so I would definitely recommend sitting on one of the sides. read more

You couldn't possibly ask for a more amazing and friendly team. Everyone here is top-tier, and every ministry they have is the best I've ever seen. Men's nights are amazing (I would imagine Girls' nights are as well), the kids and youth programs are amazing, and this church has so much life to offer. PARENTS READ THIS: First off I want to start by saying that when my family and I first walked into church we were generously greeted with hand shakes and high fives by most of the staff and greeters! Upon walking in it was such a friendly atmosphere and everyone definitely makes you feel welcome and at home. Pastor Ryan has such a way of speaking the word of God and is so upfront with everything he preaches! He is very alive in the way he speaks that he definitely has a way of bringing you into the word and makes everything he says very clear and understanding. I have been attending church for a good portion of my life and have been attending church as a family for the last four years now so we are well aware of how the church scene goes and we understand that at times people, especially when they are feeling the word that day they chime in and praise what the Pastor is saying, but in this church setting it feels as though that Pastor Amy can be quite the cheerleader for Pastor Ryan and to be 100% honest it feels a little ingenuine. Now I understand what she is doing but I think it's just a little much for everyone else as it makes it uncomfortable for anyone else to chime in and say when they feel necessary. I feel as though it is distracting when the Pastor is regularly interrupted and think that church should be focused on the lead Pastor rather than the crowd. Overall, we do enjoy the church and hope to make this church our home and bring others to attend in the near future. We are excited for what God is bringing to the church and the expansion for others to be able to experience the love of God as we do. UPDATED REVIEW: over heard a parent talking to the volunteers in the four year old class on worship night about how another child was being kicked in the face and hit over and over again and they weren't even paying attention to know that it was going on. So to be totally honest it feels very strange to leave a review on a church... however, when you find a church that is so incredible, so powerful, so amazing and been the biggest blessing in your life you feel like you have to spread the word anyway you can! The pastors are incredible and the lead pastor is like a walking talking real life action bible with incredible knowledge on the good word and always delivers a true meaningful honest and relatable sermon.
