I discovered Elstyle off of Instagram while I was doing a search for my wedding hair and makeup ideas. At 1st I was nervous because their salon is 30 miles away from me each way. When my Aunt & I arrived at our appointment, we were instantly put at ease by their polite receptionist. All of my wedding day nervousness was eased by the efficiency and professionalism of their 2 stylists. Before they had started the styling, they asked me what time did I need to be finished by, which I thought was very kind & thoughtful. When they were finished with my hair and makeup, I looked like a movie star. After I was left stranded by Lilits makeup studio 1 month before my wedding. I found Elstyle and contacted them immediately. Olga was very prompt and organized, she responded to my emails immediately and provided me with all of the information I asked for. We set up the bridal trial with Alena. Alena texted me asking me for pictures as to what I wanted. The day I got to the trial, I instantly fell in love with the studio. It's clean, calming, and quiet. I don't like when my stylist talks too much while doing my hair and makeup, Alena was quiet and very respectful. Another thing I liked was that the studio works by appointment only, it was only me, Alena, and Olga that day which was so nice. I didn't have to worry about anyone else being there, the studio being overcrowded and noisy, etc. The day of my wedding I decided to bring my maid of honor, mom, and two friends. Olena Toncheva is a goddess of makeup and hairstyling !!!! I was left speechless, so did my family and friends! My hair and makeup were perfect and exactly what I wanted. In less than 3 hours Olena turned me from cinderella to a queen! To be honest with you, I was skeptical that one person can do perfect makeup and perfect hair because usually the artists are better at one thing than the other, but Olena exceeded my expectations. I had an up-do and my hair usually hurts from heaviness of my hair, but from the way how Olena did my up-do I barely felt I had hair on my head and the hairstyle stayed exactly the same from the beginning till the end. HUGE DISAPPOINTED. I booked with Elstyle because of the pictures and reviews. I got my hair and makeup done for wedding photos with my husband. On the day of our wedding our coordinator rushed us so much that we barely got any photos. Obviously every bride wants her beautiful album so we decided to have a photo shoot. My stylist was Alena. I showed her numerous pictures of my hair the day of my wedding so that she could make it look the same (or as close as possible). My hair is very long and thick and was very curly the day of my wedding. If you have hair like me then you know how difficult it is to hold curls. I was so disappointed with my hair and had to go home to curl it all over again. All she did was take a 1.5" curling iron and hold each piece for a few seconds, then done. Each piece should have been pinned and more product used to hold the curl. Their allotted time for hair and makeup is 2.5-3 hours but I was in and out in 1 hr 40 minutes. When it came time to put in my tiara she had no clue what she was doing. My pictures clearly show that it's tucked into my hair but she tried to lay it over the top. I had to put in myself. They also teach at this salon and I feel like I was assigned a student. For $300 and knowing these were for wedding photos, I would've expected so much better. read more

I loved my hair on the trial the makeup however did not flatter me at all and it was something anyone that is ok at makeup could do. The day of my wedding my hair didn't look the same and the low up do was super messy and fell by the reception it looked like I had a nest on my head. I hate to give them a bad review I really wished they would of secured my hair better and did as they did on the trial, the same thing happened with my bridesmaids :( read more

First I want to say how sweet and nice Olga was. She was very patient and did an amazing job on my hair for both the trial and my wedding day. However, I was very displeased with the way she did my make up. I told her I wanted a bright fresh and young look. During the trial she used heavy bronze color make-up with dark eye shadow. I am Asian with very light colored skin. I looked like an old tanned drag queen and couldn't even recognize myself. Regardless I paid $150 for the trial and already tried another place that I didn't like and didn't want to keep looking elsewhere, so I risked going with her for my wedding day. I asked if she could use lighter colors on the day of my wedding and showed her a few pics of what I wanted to look like. She was very confident and said she could do it. On my wedding day, the most important day of my life, she again resorted to using the bronze tan color and the eyelashes were super long and made my eyes look weird. I didn't look like me at all! We were already late and I needed to leave ASAP for my wedding venue which was two hours away so I just washed off an hour and a half's worth of make up and told her to simply add white powder and a little pink blush my cheeks and eyeliner on my eyes. Simple and easy! I didn't look amazing like I had hoped, but better than what she did originally. The hair looked very nice though so I was pleased with that. It was apparent I was unhappy with my make up. Olga and her husband still charged me full price. It was so expensive and I wasn't even happy. I was so insecure about my make up on my wedding day. I hated it. My bridesmaids helped me add eyeliner, blush, and eyeshadow since what Olga put on me was hardly noticeable. Turned out my bridesmaids got their make up done for less than half the price and they looked much better. Perhaps other ladies had a different experience with el style. I just happen to not blend well with Olga's style of make up. Other ladies may love it. The only thing I can recommend is their beautiful hair styles. My hair looked gorgeous in a curly braid to one side with extra volume on top, and their hair spray helped keep it all in place the entire night even through all the fast dancing. read more

I found elstyle from Facebook about their individual bridal hair class. I was attracted by their bridal galleries the hairstyles were just amazing so I decide to take the class. The fee was little high at first but they offer me a discount so I felt it was worth enough to take the class and I learned a lot. Michael was my instructor and he was very nice and detail. Even thought he couldn't speak fluent English but he would let his assistant to translate every single word to me (his assistant is a super nice and sweet lady). So during the 6 hours class time , I learned so much techniques and tips about bridal hairstyle such as how to make huge volume, hair extension, curls and how to decorate the curls. And Michael was willing to answer all my questions about hairstyling. Olga, I believe is the lady boss she was very nice and responsible, she reply my emails very fast every time I ask questions. After meeting them I feel like "wow these Russian people are so beautiful and stylish!!" The only complain is the parking , but I understand this is not the salon's problem, is the city and the one way street problem , I hope they will have some parkings just for their customers.
