A part of me was expecting the establishments down here to be on the high end of classy - it turns out that this isn't actually the case. To be honest I wasn't really all that impressed with this place, it simply felt like your typical suburban pub with a nice restaurant (okay, it does have that going for it) a gaming room, and a sports bar (which was pretty crowded). Honesty, even if I lived down here, this isn't really the type of place I'd be visiting all that often (unless, of course, if it happens to be around the corner).

What I liked about the pub though was that they had a really cool looking dining area, with some pretty impressive booths (though it was a little too early for me to grab something to eat). However other than that it was basically your standard, if a little classy, suburban pub. Mind you, being Brighton I was expecting something a little more flash than what I actually got. As well as the restaurant there is a gaming room, a pool table, a front bar, and a small courtyard for the smokers. Not really some place that I would hurry back to mind you.

However, as I mentioned, the best thing, and probably the only good thing, about this pub is it's location. Basically it is a pretty stock standard pub (though it has had a refit and does look pretty classy) and it doesn't have all that much to offer on tap either. It does offer the standard pub fare (none of that gastro rubbish for me), but considering the food offerings available on Bay St, it's not a place that I would have at the top of my list to grab a meal.

I guess having a good range of craft beers on tap, and some rather friendly staff, definitely does that for me. Yeah, I actually rather liked this place, and it definitely does a good job at being a decent beachside pub, despite the exterior design. Sure, the also have gaming machines, but they are pretty much kept out of sight, which is cool, so yeah, I definitely do like this pub.
