The name really does suit the place, or more so the place really does fit the name. There are a few rooms about with some lovely, and quite comfortable, chairs. In fact, it is the rooms that really give this place it's charm, including the outdoor area out the back. Okay, it was pretty quiet when I visited, but that also adds to the charm.

Basically it is a pretty stock standard pub (though it has had a refit and does look pretty classy) and it doesn't have all that much to offer on tap either. It does offer the standard pub fare (none of that gastro rubbish for me), but considering the food offerings available on Bay St, it's not a place that I would have at the top of my list to grab a meal.

The food for the most part was on point. But the service is where the restaurant lets you down at times. On three separate occasions, they forgot the drinks. They just can't remember to bring them out and there's no apology. Thankfully the drink that NEVER SHOWED, was off the bill, so that was at least a battle I didn't have to get into. They were busy without being frantic, but the service was slow. The food came out slowly and drinks just didn't come or came late. One thing I thought they'd do that other restaurants of a similar calibre do, is know which person ordered what. They don't know. But look, overall, it's definitely worth a trip here.
