During World War I and II, the painting became a mascot for Australian soldiers. Many soldiers would visit "Chloé" for a drink before departing or upon their return, and some even sent letters to her from the front lines. Pat (our tour guide) was full of Australian historical information, and this was definitely a highlight. The meal was good as well, and even more so within this cultural context.

What used to be a standard pub has been transformed into a craft beer bar and micro-brewery.
