You can spend a day orienteering or cycling along its 9km family cycling trail. The recently rejuvenated forest cafe offers drinks and delicious handmade goodies. You can amble, run, hike, cycle, picnic, BBQ or just sit among the trees and watch the wildlife - lovely. A newly built arial climbing run called 'Go Ape' will open again in the spring. My kids loved it although it is a little expensive. The forest is managed by the forestry commission and does charge a small entrance/parking fee but you can get a yearly pass.

As with any small village store the prices are more expensive than the larger Supermarkets and the variety isn't there but can get you out of a hole until you next visit a larger Supermarket. They do have some good offers on and the staff are always polite and helpful, the children love going in for their sweets. It can get busy particularly at the Post Office. Situated on the main A41 in the middle of the village, parking is on teh roadside in front or there is a layby just a bit further up the road.
