Tamara is top notch! I found her on Yelp and am so glad that I did. After running the Chicago…read moremarathon this past Sunday, I called on Monday to see if I could schedule an appointment. Though she was booked all day and was traveling the next day, she still let me come by during her only free hour since I was so sore post-race. The massage work is terrific. Tamara is very strong, but more importantly is also very skilled and is able to locate the knotted areas that need the most work. She's also very knowledgeable; I had initially asked for a deep tissue massage, but she explained that was too intense for one day after the race and did a mix of Swedish and deep tissue work. I was amazed by how much better my body felt the next day. The pricing is competitive, especially for such a good quality massage. Tamara is also flexible and allowed me to use Chase QuickPay, which was very convenient. I would most definitely recommend her and I will definitely be going back!

Her deep tissue massage therapy work is among the best I've ever experienced. She was able to both work out the knots in my shoulders, and she was also able to get to the root of my back problem (holding my large toddler incorrectly on one hip will need to change.) I know she can do the relaxing, Swedish type massage therapy also--but if you really need some serious body maintenance work done, Tamara can get it done. She was able to bring her table to my house, which was convenient. I think she'll come to Elmhurst locations with no additional fee--farther drives may have a fee. Pricing is competitive. Small discount for first time clients--see her web page for details.

I was introduced to Marcus of Wellkinected during my first hair apt by Judith at Judith B's salon…read more He happened to be giving chair massages to clients and who could resist a relaxing massage while your color is processing? You don't have to pull my leg...this is what I call pampering. My chair massage was unlike any other I've had. Very focused on loosening tight areas in my neck, shoulders, arms and back. It was the longest 20 min I'd ever experienced and I enjoyed every second of it. I felt so relaxed after and that doesn't come easy for me. I booked my first 1 hour massage after I learned promotions were being offered for the month of October only. $31. That's an incredible value for the quality you are receiving and I knew it would be great considering how much I enjoyed sitting in his chair. Everyone in the salon raved about him and they weren't kidding. He first asks you if you are experiencing any soreness or issues. He evaluates your posture & pose and explains what he sees and why. He offers his knowledge and answered all of my questions. My experience with him was nothing like a 'typical' massage. But, I also requested a sport massage. While I was in no discomfort/soreness prior to booking, I wanted my muscles & joints to be in optimal condition. I wanted Marcus to diagnose me and do what he does best. Get those knots and problem areas I didn't even know I had worked on. And he did just that...stretching, lengthening, loosening. To say I was impressed is an understatement. I happen to think he's a massage guru and I can tell he loves what he does. Extremely focused and thorough. In a nutshell, I loved my experience. I can already feel the results of my time with him. I extended my service a half hour so he could focus specifically on issues he found. He's professional, kind and a wealth of knowledge. If you are experiencing any form of discomfort/soreness, I suggest seeing him first.. He might be better than visiting an MD. He offers a few different types of massages, so if you just want to feel relaxed with minimal pressure he can do that too. Located in Suite 202B on second floor in same building as Judith B's. I'm hooked.

He came in on his day off to take care of her. She said she needed a super deep massage and he was strong enough to get out all her knots. And that the facility was also nice. I looked at the prices and they were a little higher than other places I found. When I looked at the reviews, I could see why. Vive appeared to know what they were doing. I made my appointment online. Easy peasy. I get a phone call the next day. Oh no, are they going to reschedule me? No indeed. They were asking me about the medications I was on, my medical history and what I was looking for in a massage. I was impressed. Never have any of my massage companies asked me all this information. My massage was today and I went in. Nice looking office and waiting area. They have a parking lot. Place was clean, personable ladies at the desk. They took me to a separate waiting area that was dim and relaxing. I filled out a form with all my information. Orion came out and brought me in. I would say she sat with me a good 10 minutes, discussing my history and asking questions. Then she asked again about what pressure I wanted. She was very vocal about telling me if the pressure is too hard to be sure to let her know. What I experienced was wonderful. She had a nice firm touch and seemed to take a lot of time doing what she needed to do. By the time I was done, I was really relaxed. Since this was my first time with Vive I only purchased one session. I intend to purchase a package and return often. It was nice to get a senior discount.
