I happened to hear him tell the customer before me that he also needed brakes, so I decided to ignore the recommendation. During the next six months (once right away, and the second at the 6 month mark) I had my car inspected at two very well reviewed mechanics. Both said my breaks were fine and not even 1/2 way down. It's really sad that the Mavis mechanic clearly lied about me needing brakes. I have to wonder how many people have been lied to at this location and spent money unnecessarily. Do not use them.
