We saw improvement with his arthritis and movement, so we kept it going. But then, we got the worst news that our boy had bone cancer. When our boy lost his leg to cancer, the team at Four Paws worked with us to get his body confidence back post-amputation and keep him moving and limber. Through arthritis, cancer, and loss, Four Paws was there for our family. Words cannot express our deepest gratitude to Dana, Sav, and Bren who were there for the whole journey. If you are wondering, "Does PT really actually work for a dog?" Yes, I can confirm that it does help. We witnessed the progress and it did make a huge difference. We got our boy back post-amputation and I do credit the work at Four Paws for him getting his spark and confidence back. Be consistent about appointment, follow your therapist's recommendations, and above all, be kind and respectful. The staff at Four Paws are VERY good at what they do. Trust the process and you'll be rewarded with real, observable progress. PS - their laser works wonders!

Dr. Bart de Gols at Canine Evolutions understands dogs. Seriously. He is the total package and…read moreyou will not be disappointed if you bring your pup to him. Coming from the competitive dog sport world, and holding a degree in Cynology (the study of canines or domestic dogs), it seems Bart has been a passionate and lifelong student of the dog. Just google and see for yourself. Rather than "quick fixes", he dives deep to understand first and foremost, your dog. For example, understanding HOW your dog operates is fundamental to building a healthy relationship to him/her so that your dog does things WITH you (and not FOR you). This is the critical foundation which Bart builds upon in shaping the behavior of all the dogs he works with. It just makes sense. Since we brought our German Shepherd pup to him last year, we have watched his remarkable transformation around obedience to now protection work. And it hasn't just been him! I have learned so much through Bart's online resources, lectures, and important discussions. This has been so much fun. In summary, we have discovered in Bart, a rare combination of practical expertise, scientific understanding, and authentic compassion and advocacy for dogs. We cannot recommend him more!

Cannot rate this guy. For weeks has been promise of return call w info & price via email & phone…read more Sounded like a good fit initial call back but has not delivered on any other communication. Once a week got him on phone & told he would email or call...none of either. Phone won't accept voicemail, no response to text. There are 4 of us who compete in events listed on his website with two of us who have tried to nail him down for training, with being left feeling he has no interest. One has been trying for months. Having to go with somebody else to train with after well over reasonable amount of waiting with no attempt from Bart to return contact. Blows my mind how a trainer can just ignore multiple long term clients who are looking for somebody to train with closer to home. Will look at him again if he surfaces. But we have dogs in need and competitions upcoming and can"r afford to sit and wait to see if he surfaces. One of the group has already been with Scott Haywood w Centrailia Pet Resort, I'm going to sign up tomorrow as he has followed through with getting back, setting prices, and setting concrete schedules.

Charlotte's Cat Shack Cat Boarding

Yelp doesn't facilitate half stars, so for purpose of this review consider it 4.5…read more That said, the owner was friendly, helpful, and the price was right to watch my cat for some 3 weeks or so while we went to visit family across the country. Was even understanding for when our trip was extended a couple of days due to car troubles on the way back. What keeps me from adding that last star (or rather, .5 of a star) is getting a call at an odd hour about an alleged flea on my cat's rear. This was news to me, as we have not encountered the little parasites in our house since 2014 when a neighbor of ours introduced fleas to our house. Our cat is strictly an indoor cat, never goes outside, and I have dealt with fleas on cats a handful of times in my life, and have never had an incident of a single flea found only on the pet. The bugs have always managed to bother me as well. I have not been bothered by fleas since the aforementioned 2014 incident that we treated, and eradicated. So getting a call to say a flea was found, but no evidence was offered at the time, or at eventual pickup, just left a slightly sour taste in my mouth for what was otherwise exemplary cat boarding. I would still recommend her services, would even use them again if I found myself having to take the family out of town again, but if I am to be called and told my cat had a flea (not even fleas, I was told one was found on his hindquarters) I would rather expect to see some sort of evidence, photographic documentation preferably.

I was worried about my cat bc she was really scared when I first dropped her off. To see a video of her purring and meowing outside of her condo was so comforting to watch while away. Charlotte was also great bc my cat has allergies and she was willing to give her medicine. We also got back from our trip a day early and asked to pick our cat up after hours and Charlotte made it possible. She even refunded us for the last night without us asking. Such a sweetheart.
