After U-Haul gave me a great quote over the phone and I went there, they said "the guy who you talked to works from home somewhere in Halifax". What a waste of time. They could not do the hitch and could not even reschedule me (I had to call the scheduling number). I ended up here at Elm City and got great service. They tracked down the parts needed for my Mercedes 350 (I had quotes of $1,200 from dealers - Elm City came in at half that). When they found it was going to take more time than they thought they called me and were able to get the rest done the next day (my choice - they would have done it right away). Work was first rate. There's a dunkin donuts a 3 minute walk away with internet where you can kill time. read more

This is THE place. Bobby and Mike were super through the process of me getting the right car hauler. I've had friends go other places and get all kinds of odd things the didn't make life easy or was so over the top unnecessary, but not at Elm City. Bobby helped design/spec exactly the right trailer for hauling sports cars and it is set up in a very versatile way; I could haul just about anything on it safely and easily. I've already done two 400 mile runs and the Rance aluminum car hauler is a solid road tow at any speed. This is so much better than the Trailex trailers that so many PCA guys use. And I got a great price. If you are looking for a enclosed or open trailer for cars, landscaping, horses, motorcycles, snowmobiles. Bobby took the time to inspect my rusty old trailer to assess it roadworthiness. With his confirmation of what I already feared, he helped me to select the exact trailer I needed which would serve multiple planned purposes. Once inside, Britney helped me with accessories and additional parts that needed to be special ordered. They arrived when promised. Importantly, their prices were very reasonable for the excellent quality of products they have chosen to carry. Further, as a testament to their professionalism, I must also mention that while I was there, a massive camper/car-in-tow pulled in after encountering some trouble while passing through Connecticut on a long journey.
