If what you want is the real Irish pub experience, as opposed to the manufactured-for-tourism experience, this is one place where you can find it. In business since 1962, run now by the founder's son Daniel. Mom plays the accordion with the live traditional music on Friday nights, and you can tell where Daniel gets his warm grace in dealing with the public. Locals are friendly and welcoming, and include some real characters. The establishment is always well cared for, though, and ready for business. It takes a lot of hard work to make it look as easy as Daniel does, I believe.
