My husband and I moved in to Elliot Crossing about a year and a half ago (September 2017). We've had a mostly great experience throughout our time living at EC.
The day that we showed up in late July asking about open apartments, we were told a studio apartment was just notified to become vacant within 30 days that morning. The manager, Gina, offered us an application and even worked with us on faxing my father-in-law's information as a co-signer since he was at work (we were newly married, fresh out of college, and didn't have 3-months worth of paychecks to prove we could afford to live there, even though we knew we would once we started our new jobs).
Our application was held for us even when another applicant showed up while we went to go and get our cashier's check to officially hold the apartment.
For the most part, our neighbors haven't been horrendous, although we've had three different neighbors move into/out of the apartment directly across from ours over the past three months (that's the drawback of monthly leases, but the BIG plus side is that we can leave whenever we're ready to move on to the next "home" without being tied to additional months.
Overall though, it's been relatively quiet living there (except for the ambulance sirens passing by on West Street, which was *immensely* improved once they upgraded the windows to dual pane).
Anytime we've had an issue with a leak or some kind of maintenance fix they've been very timely in responding. The only thing I wish they communicated with more advance notice was when they needed to enter our apartment for various maintenance (we almost didn't see the note saying our windows were getting replaced the next day, and how they would need us to move any furniture from in front of the window, so we literally started that process after midnight, not easy to do in a studio because everything is literally in one room).
Despite EC's various shortcomings, it's been a great first apartment for my husband and I to live in together. We'll have fond memories of our tiny first home, but we're also glad that we're on our way to a bigger apartment complex that allows us to have a dog! (One of my biggest complaints would be that we couldn't have a dog, but it was for the best since we didn't have a patio/balcony).
If you're contemplating living in EC, I'd say it's best if you're on a budget, but it's not luxurious and it's not a place to stay for too long, but you can feel confident in management taking care of you. read more
