This is one of those reviews that is worth listening to. And I can't even make up how awfully this company treated me. I'll bullet point it to make it easier to read: -I had my engine replaced -It didn't last a year -They blamed me for putting "Stop Leak" in the radiator. No idea what that is. -The radiator was perforated. Which could have only happened when they installed it. -They claimed I voided the warranty -My son of under 1 years old was in the truck during the summer when I had to pull over in the heat of the day. That's extremely dangerous. -I called multiple times and was promised a call back. Never received one. -They claimed they were changing shops and missed my calls. I talked with a person. -When I had my uncle out to help, we discussed and Junior tried to shut the hood on my uncle's hand. -I eventually had to give up on my truck because they would not return my calls. -This is the worst spot I could ever recommend going to. Junior is either a bad manager/owner or his team isn't good. I lost my truck because after multiple months of calling, they would not return my call. This is the worst I've been treated by any business. What was ironic was Junior stated he is not a crooked mechanic. He actually is and this is a crooked business. You can drive 15 minutes anywhere and not be affected like I was. Absolutely the worst I've ever come across. If I need to provide the phone log, it would be easy. Dude came recommended. Junior apparently isn't like his dad and very willing to screw you over. Again, I lost a vehicle over this. It was potentially worth 13k and I spent 3,500$$$ to have an engine put in that didn't work. They lied and won't return phone calls. I'm not the only comment on here that states that. read more

Let's get started at the beginning. I came to "Eller's Auto" because i was recommended by a friend. I went to get my control arms replaced and a alignment, price was fair and it was done in a couple days. When i picked it up i drove it home and it was running amazing,but when i got into the backroads of my neighborhood i make a left turn and the ball joints fail and tire falls off and breaks lower and upper control arms on both sides,(Rim gets scratched because the truck is laying on the tire). So i payed for a tow truck and thank god i wasn't on a highway when the incident happened. Next day, i called and they were very nice about the situation and they fixed everything that had broken (For the most part) then they told me bring it in and we can do the rim that got scratched and another alignment. So i brought it in. Told me to write everything that had broken on the truck, so i did.... I wrote.... Wheel bearing or wheel hub is making a weird sound, and was never there Rim is scratched Inside door handle was ripped off from one of the technicians. And other damage. They only did the alignment, fixed the rim, and payed me back for what i had to pay for the tow truck. Now i have a bad wheel bearing that i'm gonna have to replace. Eller's Auto is a Scamming Auto Repair Shop... Go Here If You Want To Get Ripped-Off "READ END OF REVIEW... ELLER'S AUTO VANDALIZED & SABOTAGED MY CAR AFTER THE REPAIR" I had Eller's Auto fix my Air Conditioner, I needed to have the A/C Compressor replaced, total repair job ended up costing me $540, Owner John T, Eller Jr. said he would do the repair himself, said he does all the A/C repair service exclusively himself, which took him 2 days to finish the repair, total labor hours to replace an A/C Compressor should only be 4.5 hours according to other auto repair shops. After finally picking-up my car the A/C worked great, until I got 10 miles down the highway my car started making a horrible grinding sound, the A/C stopped working and my car broke down. I ended up having to have my car towed to a nearby Firestone auto repair. They did an extensive inspection and said the problem was the A/C compressor clutch & coil was bad and locked-up. I told the Firestone Mechanic that Eller's Auto just put a new A/C Compressor kit complete with clutch pully, clutch Coil, as well as new A/C Compressor Dryer kit. The Mechanic told me I hate to tell you this but I think Eller's Auto ripped you off, the A/C Compressor, clutch pully and clutch coil are not new and appear to be used parts. He pointed out that the A/C Compressor is too dirty to be a new Compressor and the clutch pully Is not new It's all rusted, it should be new black paint, and the clutch coil is used as well with badly frayed burned wires hanging out of it. The Firestone Shop Manager also inspected my car, confirming as well all the parts Eller's Auto put on are old used parts and definitely not new parts, you need to take your car back to Eller's Auto. At this point I am very upset, so I called another tow truck to tow my car back to Eller's Auto, when I arrived Eller's Auto was closed, the tow truck driver left my car on Eller's Auto parking lot. I went back to Eller's Auto early the next day and spoke to - John T. Eller Jr. who is the one that did the A/C repair on my car, I confronted him telling him you did not put brand new parts on my car, you put old used parts on my car, I pointed out if you supposedly put new parts on my car then why is the supposedly new A/C Compressor so dirty and why is the Clutch pully badly rusted, and why does the clutch coil have wires hanging out of it. I paid you $540 for a complete new air conditioning kit. John Eller denied all the parts were old used parts, kept insisting he put a brand-new air conditioner kit on my car. I said it's blatantly obvious all the parts are not new parts. After going back and forth for 10 minutes completely denying everything, he said your repair job comes with a 1-year warranty, said he would replace the A/C unit again with a whole new unit. When I picked-up my car the next day, I checked the A/C Unit and Magically all new parts are new now. My nightmare with Eller's Auto doesn't end yet, 3 days later I took my car to get an inspection for new license plates, the inspector said I had a head-light out and I will have to replace it before the inspection. I replaced my head-light with a new one and it still did not work. So, I pulled the new head-light back off, took it back AutoZone and got another one, and it didn't work as well. At this point I'm bewildered so I inspected the head-light wiring harness, pulled back the plastic cover on the harness and discovered Eller's Auto had sabotaged my car by cutting the wiring leading to the head-light connection. I repaired the cut wiring and put my old head-light back in and worked perfectly, but my nightmare didn't end there. Later that week my car engine started running bad, cutting-out and stalling bad. I took my car to my local ford dealership, the mechanic said I had a power steering oil leak, and the spark plug wires are bad. In the waiting room 1/2 hour later the mechanic said it appears someone used a razor blade to cut a slice into the power steering oil return hose, and there was also razor blade cuts on every one of my spark plug wires. Eller's Auto are scamming auto mechanics that rips off their customers, if you catch them scamming you, be warned they will Vandalize & Sabotage your car to get Revenge back at you for Confronting them about their Dishonest Auto Repair Scams. I was driving through Castroville when my transmission failed. John Ellers put in a "rebuilt" transmission. It lasted long enough for me to get back to Houston and then I was unable to get out of my garage. No help from John. After stopping payment on my credit card John lied and said I did not reach out. Phone records and emails say different. Steer clear of this place. It's unlikely that the other glowing reviews are legitimate. read more

Eller' Auto Service is excellent! I drove from San Antonio, TX to Castroville,TX, for an Outstanding car repair! I was a walk in but I didn't have to wait long. I had two diagnostic tests done on my vehicle in 2021 for one service. Eller''s Auto was able to beat last year's estimated prices... plus I had extra work done for less than the price of the diagnostic tests including labor! There are two John Eller's at this family-owned business. At separate times both John's took the time to explain what work was or wasn't needed on my vehicle. John Jr., mentioned that I'm going to eventually need a transmission. He explained how much just a rebuilt transmission costs..Ugh!! Both John's were honest enough to say that the transmission work wasn't an urgent matter and agreed that I could wait on this! Whew!! Most shops are in it for the money! I felt at ease and as though I was ALWAYS being told the truth!!! Did I mention that John Eller Jr. has a Batcholor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked on cars growing up? John Sr. has worked on various machinery being ex U.S.N., Ret. U.S.A.F and Civil Service... I was impressed and yes, I asked a lot of questions!! The Customer Service is awesome everyone in the shop is very welcoming. The shop is clean and upkeep is nice! This is my new auto repair shop and I will let them do the body work my car needs too!!
