The rest of the pre-purchase time he showed me ways to tell if a car has been in a crash, then gave some main parameters to look for in a 2nd-hand vehicle for purchase. He also told me some things to ask when phoning about a car, and suggested a fair price range for what I was seeking on the private market. The car I finally settled on is close to perfect for me, and one of the most fun I've owned. While I was looking James could have charged me for a few inspections on cars he couldn't find time to look at after asking me about them, for which now I heartily thank him.
