The day before my first appointment I contacted the salon to ask about their experience with curly hair and if they were comfortable cutting and styling it since I saw only long, blow out styles on their website. As someone who has had many bad haircuts by stylists who claimed to understand curly hair, I wanted to be sure. She told me they were comfortable with all hair types. I asked what technique they used for curly hair and the owner got very defensive and canceled my appointment without even a conversation. Neither our hair nor our makeup budged the whole night, and everything turned out even better than we'd hoped. I had my hair highlighted by Ellie, before I left it looked pretty good in the mirror. When I got home I realized how horrible it looked. I texted her and asked her if I could stop by at some point so that she could redo a few areas. I received no response back. As the owner of the salon I was shocked at how she handled my request. I even sent her pictures. I would never recommend anyone to go there. It also is not very clean. read more

After years of using the same colorist, I took the plunge to mix it up and try someone new. Ellie was great at listening to what I might want / didn't want and made great suggestions. I was happy with the low lites/ high lites and color. Her salon is professional and aesthetically appealing, peaceful and more intimate than larger salons. Ellie was pleasant and clearly understands what works for individual people. Highly recommend and I will return:) read more

I CANNOT be any more ECSTATIC about the results I got from my new hair cut and color - did ballayage...... After cutting my own hair for nearly 6 years on and off as I couldn't find ANYONE to give me a decent cut, not to mention loads of money spent on hair cuts that I was unhappy with and trimming it myself once back home,I finally stumbled upon Ellie and her marvelous talent. I explained to her my concern, no pressure there for her...lol.... showed her some pictures of my desired end result and she calmly and very professionally assured me I'm in good hands!!!! She knew EXACTLY what I wanted and I couldn't be any happier with my new hair cut and color.
