There are numerous options for weddings, including inside rooms, outdoor pavilion and a variety of food choices. In addition to functions, I've went to brunch at the facility a number of times and have never been disappointed. The brunch features stations with breakfast, lunch and dessert foods. The best part of brunch, is the omelet station. They make made to order omelets, with a number of options including egg whites!

When I arrived, my first impression was that the place was old and dated. The banquet space my class was in had carpeted floors and striped wallpaper. The wallpaper, while ugly, was not as disgusting as the carpet. Carpet does not belong in dining spaces, and this carpet in particular was gross. On top of that, the white table cloths were already visibly dirty when I first sat down and, likewise, the chairs were also kind of dirty. The food was beyond disgusting. We were served buffet style, and had a choice of coleslaw, corn on the cob, barbecue chicken, cheese burgers, and hot dogs. I didn't try the coleslaw because I don't really like it, but the corn on the cob was submerged in this bath of it's own juices. Ew. The chicken looked cheap and gross from the get go, and there was no way I was going to put it in my mouth. There were only cheeseburgers, and no burgers without cheese, which I found frustrating because I hate cheeseburgers. However, this was not such a huge disappointment as the meat was criminally overcooked, had no seasoning what so ever, and might have actually been worse than public school cafeteria meat. Not surprisingly, I only ate a few bites of my cheeseburger, despite being extremely hungry. The only edible aspect of the meal were the hot dogs and, even then, they weren't very good. While the food was bad, the service was equally horrible. First of all, our drink options were lemonade or iced tea, no water. Secondly, they were served via two plastic water cooler that were positioned on the bar. Even though they were in a self serve container, we couldn't get our own drinks; an old guy behind the bar poured the drinks en masse throughout the evening. Once we had finished eating, the process of clearing plates was just weird. Instead of taking a few plates back at once, the waitresses set up a tray as the designated food dump. The waitresses would take one or two plates, dump the half eaten school food onto the tray, do God knows what with the plates, and then come back and repeat. This took forever, and the waitresses would jump around with tables. It was annoying that it took so long, and the food dump trays were disgusting. All in all, this place is just gross. The food is gross, the space is gross, everything is gross. While Twelve Acres might be a good option of you have to feed a large group of people for cheap, but don't be surprised if said people don't come to your future events.

We fell in love with her, the house, everything including the murder-by-mail story behind the house from the 1800s. About 2 weeks before the party we called Kaitlyn and told her it was going to turn into our surprise wedding! She continued to be so helpful and excited, giving recommendations for all kinds of vendors we'd need. The day of the party she was professional and hands-on, making sure everything got done on a quick timeline. She calmed nerves and had great suggestions on where things should go to make sure everything flowed just right. Our rental price included some tables and linens she had available, and some glassware too. It was so perfect from the start and we couldn't be happier!!

Beautiful historic building who's tour guides added in a true life murder mystery of the lady of the houses death. This really added to the event as it was so my scene and absolutely fun. They also had a whiskey tasting since she was poisoned with whiskey which is ironically amazing. I would def host an event here because unlike the Newport mansions I could touch things and see things in the midst of being historically preserved since they're still restoring the house. Open Doors RI has found a new regular customer :)

They put much thought and detail into their cocktail menu here and many can be made into equally pretty mocktails as well. Brad took care of us while there and he was the best! We sat at the bar for hours enjoying his company and his amazing drinks! This spot is also adorable. The bar is chic and pretty, but the lounge setting is unmatched! It's upscale and elegant and can't be perfect for a fancy night out or also a casual (but pretty) drink at the bar. We got some really good pizza while there, and heard they will be changing up their menu soon and can't wait to come back and try that as well. The upstairs space is also really special! It was stunning and I'm so glad we checked it out. I'm already plotting how it would be perfect for the book club I'm in! We walked out through the event space since it was snowing and was obsessed with the tree house vibes leading out to the parking lot. This venue is amazing. What I don't get is half-full chafing dishes, half-pans full up are much easier to manage and look way more appealing :-\ Plenty of hot water in the shower but within a minute the drain can't quite keep up, standing in standing water does not help me get me clean :-( Got wash cloths and plenty of clean towels for after, but how about some help getting rid of the water? I stay at IHG properties because I like consistent experiences but y'all are not representing the brand greatly...

Beware, this IS a homeless hotel. I stayed here 1/23-1/26. At breakfast at 7am on 1/24 there were…read moreonly homeless people, very dirty looking, and 2 of them were shaking from drug use while eating with their hands out of the hot bar. Staff took my complaint and seemed like this type of activity was normal. There was black mold on the bathroom ceiling of my room. I had to clean the HVAC filters in my room for the heat to work. The hot water stopped working because they don't maintain the building systems, this was on my last night and they had no plan to fix it, just told me it was normal. Manager Jocelyn told me I would receive a refund and when I called the next day to ask where my refund was she told me it wasn't happening. Manager Jocelyn, worker Kathy, and resident drug addict Walter (missing teeth and dirty) told me to never return to their hotel. Walter followed me into the parking lot and physically threatened me with the manager Jocelyn and worker Kathy standing by his side. The hotel claims to not allow pets, however, I saw at least 5 pets on this stay. One of them was completely untrained and almost jumped on me as the owner was loosely holding it. It was NOT a service animal. This hotel is extremely dangerous and if you are traveling from out of state you NEED to pick another hotel for your health and safety.

Very unprofessional since day 1…read more We had an appointment to check the place out and the owner nabely did not pay us much attention because she was "busy", and she did this at every appointment but we decided to go with the place because it was beautiful and had everything we needed. So we thought. we Went with the smallest package because I wanted to decorate myself. she said " your wedding is destined to fail" because I didn't wanna pay the extra $4000 just for her to decorate?? she said the oven came with the hall Then days before my wedding she told me the racks in the oven were gone because someone else rented them. So we had to Buy some. months before the wedding I told her in great description what tables i Wanted to use and how I want them set up. Day of the wedding comes along and she has the completely wrong tables out which messes up my whole seating chart so I had to have my family run around and move all the tables around, decorate and coordinate with the caterer. Thankfully they got it all done in time. Some things were messed up because they didn't have enough time due to the tables. my bridesmaid had to get dressed in the bridal sweet because she was nice enough to help set Up and the bridal sweet had a window wide open and Everyone could see her dressing if they walked by. ??? day of coordinator/owner Jason was on point the whole wedding made sure I had what I needed but at the end of the night when my family was done cleaning up he said " okay now get the fuck out my building". i would not recommend this place to my worse enemy.
