We had the loft and another party had the side room. We have no issues sharing the common space and it was fun to experience. This April, I scored a 2 night in cottage 4B on the only rainy/gloomy weekend we've had here. Of all the luck. Within 6days of reservation date, you lose 1 night stay so it was sunk cost so I went ahead and did both nights. Easy to check in and checkout. If you are down the hill, you can get a ride on the golf carts which are very nice. 2 cars overnight as well per cabin. Rooms were clean. There is no AC so be prepared depending on your weather. I wanted to leave windows open but most don't have a screen so you get bugs and I was afraid of critters coming in. We had a very disappointing experience at Paséa , and unfortunately, we would not stay here again…read more Our scheduled check-in time was 4:00 PM, but our room was not ready. We waited approximately 40 minutes before we were finally able to get into our room. The hotel initially offered us a $50 credit, and after the continued delay, increased it to $100, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. When we finally entered our room, we discovered visible stains on the bedsheets. After waiting 40 minutes just to get into the room, it was extremely disappointing to find that the room had not been properly prepared. We contacted housekeeping and had the sheets replaced. We did not want to change rooms because we had already spent so much time waiting and did not want to go through the entire process again. Then came the most concerning issue. At checkout, we reviewed our folio and discovered a $118.74 charge from Lorea, the hotel's restaurant. We never visited Lorea and never made this purchase. The charge had been posted to our room even though it was not our bill. We had to wait another approximately 40 minutes at checkout while the hotel investigated and confirmed to waived the charge. So during this stay, we spent approximately 80 minutes of our valuable vacation time waiting because of problems caused by the hotel -- 40 minutes waiting for our room at check-in and another 40 minutes dealing with an incorrect restaurant charge at checkout. The location is beautiful, but unfortunately, the service and overall experience did not meet the standard we expected. We left feeling that we spent far too much of our vacation time dealing with problems that should never have happened in the first place. We will not be returning and cannot recommend this hotel based on our experience.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. They do have complementary dog beds that are huge and comfortable, they also have pack N plays for your little ones and also offer microwaves upon request. They have 2 pools, one with the slides and a beach entry pool. The other with a regular pool and different activities for the whole family to play with (ping pong table, giant chess, giant connect four) we only went to the one with the slide and our kids (ages 2- 10) loved it! We went closer to sundown but the water was warm so it felt nice. They have staff at almost all entrances checking for your wrist band to make sure you're staying there. There's access to the beach from both pools. It's a short walk to the crosswalk and you're there! They also have complementary wagons, beach chairs and you can take the towels with you and just return them when you get back! Makes it so easy to go! They do have a bar at the pool with the slides, we loved everything we got. My pool wrist band ended up getting too tight so I went to the front desk and they cut it off for me and gave me a new one. Again they were super friendly about that and even asked if we needed more water or anything. The cleanliness of the resort was top tier. It was walking distance from restaurants and the pier so we all had a lovely overall experience. Will definitely be back!

A special thank you to Tasha, the front desk manager, who was incredibly warm and welcoming and truly set the tone for our stay. She recommended The Lighthouse, just steps from the hotel overlooking the harbor, and it ended up being a great spot with good food and beautiful views. We travel often and have stayed at many of the surrounding hotels in the area, and Bay Shores Peninsula has done a fantastic job with its renovations. Saturday morning breakfast was eggs, boiled peanuts, and potatoes. We had late lunch/early dinner: Chicken, pulled pork (at just the right temperature), chow mein, and tons of fresh fruit. Dessert was cookies, and one of the guests brought cheesecakes from 85 degrees, so that was awesome. We basically hung out by the pool all day. It was a super fun stay and we can't wait to go back. The owners do a great job of making you feel welcome and at home. If you get lucky, the guy will show you his wine cellar and game room (if you're into games). Definitely recommended for couples who want a pool vacation. Very Disappointing Stay…read more What a disappointment. This hotel is in serious need of some attention, deep cleaning, and updating. The first thing I noticed was the couches in the lobby. I honestly wouldn't even want to sit on them. They are visibly dirty and stained, especially around the bottoms, which look like they may have had some type of water damage. For a lobby--the first impression guests get--it was very uninviting. Unfortunately, the rooms aren't any better. There is a strong, unpleasant odor that reminds me of old cleaning solution or stale soap. The carpets look like they haven't been deep-cleaned in a very long time, and I definitely would not feel comfortable walking around barefoot. The paint is old, and the overall décor and style are extremely outdated. Then there's the bathroom. It is outdated and run-down, with worn and chipped floorboards. The toilet and bathroom surfaces are seriously stained and give the entire space an unclean, neglected appearance. I will give them credit for one thing--the hot water works! What makes this even more disappointing is that this hotel is near the beach, yet there is absolutely nothing about it that gives you that clean, fresh, relaxing beach feel. With this location, there is so much potential to make the property bright, welcoming, and coastal. And the saddest part? We're here for four nights. This hotel needs some serious TLC--deep cleaning, new flooring and furnishings, fresh paint, bathroom renovations, and an overall update. Definitely not the beach getaway experience we were expecting. Don't let the pictures on the internet fool you.
