Really great for breakfast and coffee when in the area! It's a little bit of walk if you're coming from Juliette's House and the shopping in that area, but it's totally worth it. The iced coffee was pretty good and the food was great!

Great brunch place with 2 different types of pancakes to select from. I chose the fluffy version and was glad I did. One of the best restrooms I visited in Italy during my 3 week stay.

The ambiance at Elk Bakery felt like European Cafe meets American Brunch. Modern design accompanied by lively morning conversations and sidewalk dining. I was impressed by the serviced we received given we were in a bit of a rush but did not want to put that on the staff. They were understanding and actually had a reservation coming in after us, so everything happened to work out. They promptly took our order and made sure we had everything we needed when the food arrived. TO EAT I had what they call a bagel. It was shaped by a bagel, it kind of looked like a bagel, and its taste did not reflect a traditional American bagel. But given it was brioche bun, it was actually still very nice it just moreso resembles French toast due to its sweetness. The eggs were perfectly scrambled and the cheese sauce was not overwhelming as I feared it might have been. The biggest disappointment of the meal was what was referred to as a "side salad" which was just a warm pile of unseasoned iceberg lettuce. I also got a lemonade with ginger and mint to help out with a hangover I was nursing, so that hit the spot since they are big on fresh juice and beverages.

Attentive service - they set up your paper placemat and new utensils when you're ready and cleared my plate pretty quickly. American-style breakfast.

Breakfast in Verona was great. Bigger selection than just pastries. Coffee was great, the breakfast bowls were delicious and the avocado toast was great and we did not find that often in Italy. Would definitely go again.

We came here twice during our stay in Verona. One of the few places that offers a full breakfast menu (not just the traditional pastry and coffee). Staff were friendly and able to accommodate us in both instances, in spite of it being crowded. The decor and atmosphere are cute, the service is fast, and the prices are affordable. We both ordered the oat protein pancakes on our first visit and added toppings. The second time, we ordered the bacon and eggs (which also come with toast, sausage, and potatoes) and the bacon and cheddar pancakes. That being said, the flavors didn't wow us and fell a little short, particularly the bacon and cheddar pancakes. But would still recommend to those looking for a filling breakfast with good service!

Amazing Food! My husband and I stopped here on our way back from Lake Garda. We miss a good breakfast like we have stateside but unfortunately there are not a lot of places that sell more than cheese and croissants for breakfast in Europe. Great environment and good food. Fresh OJ was amazing and coffee was on point

Restaurants were a bit better, and with some online research we found a couple spots that were (hopefully) open, and if not they were in an area where we'd be able to find *something* open within a short walk. Al Ritrovo was our first choice, and was very close to a stop for the #1 bus, right next to the Duomo, with a nice patio and modern looking interior (it opened in 2013), although we chose the patio on a beautiful evening. They must have been rocking 90s on 9 on Sirius, because Gangster's Paradise was playing when we arrived, followed by the Spice Girls' "Stop", and then "Da Funk" by Daft Punk, which I was very much down with. The kitchen wasn't going to be open for another 20m, so we took a look at their drink list and I picked a bottle of their valpolicella riposa. Wine came out with a glass of salted peanuts to hold us over. The valpolicella was very enjoyable, with slight tannin hit on the front, but with a smooth finish, and warm down the throat thanks to the 15.5% punch of this Venetian wine. I went with the fresh pasta and duck to start, and a signature Vicentini/Venetian dish - salted cod and polenta, or baccala. The pasta and duck were fantastic; the pasta was fresh, just slightly eggy and perfectly cooked. The duck was chopped and also cooked to just the right doneness, being moist enough to not need the sauce to save it. Speaking of which, the cream sauce was used with a light hand, with just enough to evenly coat everything but not eclipsing the pasta or duck. The cod and polenta was a bit disappointing presentation-wise, and was fine on execution, but didn't have the wow factor of the duck. The salt cod was in a creamy sauce but still maintained some of its distinct dried fish texture. The polenta had a slightly different flavour compared to most I've had, but I couldn't quite place it, and it wasn't bad. Could have just been the kind of polenta or a better quality than is available back home, and I just wasn't used to it. Service was attentive and professional. Wherever you're staying in Vicenza, you definitely want to swing by Al Ritrovo for some very well done traditional dishes at this modern restaurant.

I had some absolutely divine lamb chops, with a Caesar salad (the salads are massive here). Definitely worth a try if you happen to visit this charming little town.
