Really great for breakfast and coffee when in the area! It's a little bit of walk if you're coming from Juliette's House and the shopping in that area, but it's totally worth it. The iced coffee was pretty good and the food was great!

Great brunch place with 2 different types of pancakes to select from. I chose the fluffy version and was glad I did. One of the best restrooms I visited in Italy during my 3 week stay.

The ambiance at Elk Bakery felt like European Cafe meets American Brunch. Modern design accompanied by lively morning conversations and sidewalk dining. I was impressed by the serviced we received given we were in a bit of a rush but did not want to put that on the staff. They were understanding and actually had a reservation coming in after us, so everything happened to work out. They promptly took our order and made sure we had everything we needed when the food arrived. TO EAT I had what they call a bagel. It was shaped by a bagel, it kind of looked like a bagel, and its taste did not reflect a traditional American bagel. But given it was brioche bun, it was actually still very nice it just moreso resembles French toast due to its sweetness. The eggs were perfectly scrambled and the cheese sauce was not overwhelming as I feared it might have been. The biggest disappointment of the meal was what was referred to as a "side salad" which was just a warm pile of unseasoned iceberg lettuce. I also got a lemonade with ginger and mint to help out with a hangover I was nursing, so that hit the spot since they are big on fresh juice and beverages.

Attentive service - they set up your paper placemat and new utensils when you're ready and cleared my plate pretty quickly. American-style breakfast.

Breakfast in Verona was great. Bigger selection than just pastries. Coffee was great, the breakfast bowls were delicious and the avocado toast was great and we did not find that often in Italy. Would definitely go again.

We came here twice during our stay in Verona. One of the few places that offers a full breakfast menu (not just the traditional pastry and coffee). Staff were friendly and able to accommodate us in both instances, in spite of it being crowded. The decor and atmosphere are cute, the service is fast, and the prices are affordable. We both ordered the oat protein pancakes on our first visit and added toppings. The second time, we ordered the bacon and eggs (which also come with toast, sausage, and potatoes) and the bacon and cheddar pancakes. That being said, the flavors didn't wow us and fell a little short, particularly the bacon and cheddar pancakes. But would still recommend to those looking for a filling breakfast with good service!

Amazing Food! My husband and I stopped here on our way back from Lake Garda. We miss a good breakfast like we have stateside but unfortunately there are not a lot of places that sell more than cheese and croissants for breakfast in Europe. Great environment and good food. Fresh OJ was amazing and coffee was on point

Service: thorough, knowledgeable, pleasant Menu: very creative, traditional dishes with modern & unique (creative) takes. Short yet sweet. - Gluttony Expedition - Breads: it accompanied with albacore dipping sauce. Yum! Amarone risotto: Wow. This simple looking risotto had a full flavor. Amarone is a sweet wine - paired with cheese for heaven! Seasoned and cooked perfectly. Entree portion. You must order for 2. Well worth it! Donkey gnocchi: gnocchi had a great texture - the best I've ever had. I made it before but nothing like this. Wow. Donkey was seasoned so well like demi glace sauce. Awesome! Beef cheek: tender beef was cooked like donkey. Similar flavors to my gnocchi. Seasoned so well. Porcini's pie: the textures - soft, crispy, hard with porcini marmalade. Off the menu - the server knew we were adventurous, so informed us of this ! - Conqueror's Deduction - Don't expect tourist experience here. This was one of the best Italian meals I've ever had in my life. Traditional dishes with their creative twists. Cooking level was truly top notch. Don't be fooled by the casual setting. The ambience doesn't feel stuffy but you'll get the same service as a fine dining establishment AND quality! The menu is incredible. We shared several items including the eggplant/goat cheese antipasti, pasta with lamb, and the veal. Everything was incredible! We shared an assortment of desserts, and that was probably the only thing that wasn't great. While everything on the regular menu was FANTASTIC, desserts are not their forte. Also, while they don't have an extensive wine list, their selection is very good!

And yes, there are a few localized options but on the whole it is extremely similar. There's a dessert bar at the front with a McFlurry machine and surprisingly, they had macarons on display. That was unexpected. It was originally just curiosity but we ended up placing an order. My friend got Chicken Nuggets and said that they tasted exactly the same as the Chicken McNuggets in the US. I ordered a basic hamburger which is a deal for €1. I had to know if it was the same. And yes, it had the same consistence and tasted the same as the hamburger in the US. Same ketchup, same pickle, same chopped onions. As for the fries, also the same. Other than people around us speaking Italian, and needing to press a button on the kiosk to get English, it was all the same. There were three other tables in the dining room, one with three Americans who just arrived in Italy, a foursome of two couples (non-Italian), and very loud, nonstop Italian talking couple. Very old school South Philly type place. Nothing all that interesting on the menu. They wanted you to have white wine with certain dishes and red with others. The entrees were served with a shaker of parmesan! At 110 euros, over priced for the quality. The salami and cheese plate, featured two slices of the same cheese, plus slices of four meats, one which we said tasted like the most boring deli ham available at any major supermarket. It was followed by pork ribs, which was kind of like pork belly because it was 2/3s fat and 1/3 meat. The little meat available was quite good. It came with a smattering of french fries (maybe 15). Odd and lame. The other was supposed to be Sea Bass, yet as the receipt noted, it was Branzino and totally boring, along with overcooked stew of vegetables (carrots, peppers, zucchini). The bread was appalling by European standards, even American expectations. What's up with that?!?!?!??? First, and probably the only time, using Michelin for dinner recommendation. I wonder how much the restaurant had to pay to get the Michelin star....
