The classes with Mrs. Margaryta were intense in a way ... no talking .... pay attention... sleeping beauties.... hurry up.....but I grew up in similar environment around sports so I gave it a try for my daughter. I noticed though my daughter enjoyed way more classes with Margaryta's husband as sometimes he substituted for her. He was making it more fun. Kids overall had more fun with him during class. My daughter is a hardworking little girl. She listens and tries her best. But she is also sensitive to being pushed too hard because she gets frustrated with herself. It was over for me when she cried during a class over one exercise and on top of things she was sent again in the end of the class to work on the same exercise by herself! It was nice when her husband stepped in and helped her but we never went back after that. I feel like working with the kids you should be able recognize when the child is pushed too far. They are only 6 yo and it all should be combine with a little fun so they want to go back. She didn't and I have a hard time talking her into a new place . We moved and finally she will give it a try. Fingers crossed this time she will have an awesome experience. To the response : I understand my daughter sometimes needs some pushing but I don't agree with leaving her alone crying on the mat doing her best.

I was nervous about the 1:4 ratio, but since they were on the younger end, it was mostly a 1:2 or 1:3 ratio for them. I had visions of them being pulled under a wave and being traumatized by the ocean forever, and it's true they did get hit by the board a few times, but the instructors were so positive that the kids didn't mind much, kind of like how falling is a fact of life when you're learning to walk (but we don't tell kids not to learn to walk). I learned a thing or two too - instead of reaching to a bad wipeout with "Are you ok??", I can try saying "Sick wipeout dude!" :) The one thing I would note is to pay attention to the tides - I think the camps are better at low tide.

My daughter had a great time with the previous class until she turned 2, although the director was always unresponsive and zero customer service but teachers were great. Then, they moved her to the two's with no transition, they didn't even know that she couldn't have milk and I'm thankful I caught this on camera checking on her the first day and stopped them on time. Teacher were rude since the beginning not saying hello but keep talking to each other most times at pick up so I never got to have a relationship with them. My daughter started crying at drop off again and that was a first sign. Next, she was left with her t-shirt and swaeter wet until her lips turned blue at home when I noticed her arms were frozen, after I picked her up when she was still napping at school. I obviously asked the teachers to change her but this happened again twice until I noticed at pick up one day and confront led them right away. Turned out they didn't care and had no intention to change her. I reported it to the director, that didn't care and didn't intervene (long story short). Had a bad feeling when I sent her to school the day after so I watched her on camera only to see that my fears were justified: she was neglected care the whole day, no diaper change and no visual contact when she started crying cause a kid pulled her arm and after 30 miutes no response of either teacher, then she was crying following one of the teacher around, and this teacher turned to her, bent down and moved her head and hands like if she was yelling at her and then ignore her again. After plenty of calls (they didn't respond for over 50 minutes) and message via app (that director saw but lied about), the director showed up to take care of my daughter and I left work to pick her up and find her diaper and pants wet. Director lied, supervisor didn't care, and your kid might be the next one cause no intervention for the teachers behavior either. I can't recommend the center and want to share my experience if can help the next kid to avoid emotional abuse and neglected care.

The frequent changes and inconsistency in staff members makes it difficult when establishing a routine and developing trust which is harder on children who are slow to warm up to new people and change. The lack of proper staffing would sometimes result in the closing of some classrooms for the day or having to pick up early. A few times the entire center was closed due to staff shortage.

You can tell how passionate they are about surfing and how pumped they are for the kids to feel that same exhilaration from the sport. Seth shares photos each night on his Facebook page. I could see my daughter's look of concentration standing on the surfboard and her huge smile when she reached the shoreline. The parking lot is free before 9 AM, so if you wanted to stay at the beach to relax while your kids are at camp you can although the school recommends you not stay in case your child gets distracted or self-conscious knowing you are there. While the facility appears clean and organized, deeper issues with management and communication…read moremake it a poor choice for childcare. Communication from management is severely lacking. We gave two weeks' notice via email of our intent to withdraw our children but never received formal acknowledgment. After following up, we were informed--without prior notice--that they don't pro-rate tuition. As a result, we were charged full tuition for just two days of attendance, which felt unfair and lacked transparency. Staff turnover is also a major issue. Teachers change frequently, with little to no communication from management. This inconsistency made it difficult for our children to build relationships and feel secure. Lastly, the curriculum is not as advertised. Our children weren't meaningfully engaged, making it feel more like basic daycare than an early learning environment.
