The cook was coerced to come back to work before her quarantine was up, resulting in teachers catching the virus. They would use fear as a tactic to force people to come to work if they were sick with ailments that they very well should not be in contact with children yet..ie..covid, stomach viruses & fevers. They will employ you just till you qualify for benefits & then fire you for unjust cause so you can't have what you worked hard for. Babies are given the wrong bottles resulting in other children drinking breast milk that did not come from their own mother's(from somebody else). Babies are given formula that are strictly breast resulting in vomiting & illness. Babies have gotten ahold of prescription medications & played with them & administration done nothing about it. Employees are forced to work after work related injuries. Upon cleaning infant room with another employee a flattened mouse was found deceased in the cabinet. Carpet cleaned is every once in awhile. Water does not get hit in the infant room resulting in poor sanitation. Employees are snapped at and talked down to. Blood is left unclean from incidents in which children have gotten hurt. Just don't take your kids here. Its just not a good idea.

It is kind of an odd location (attached to a property management office) So I discredited it at first. My kids have been there a year now and I really enjoy listening to their stories about what they did at school. In the summer they have special programming (some things were in addition to normal price like $5-10) they brought "the fun bus," the petting zoo, they took a trip to the living museum I think, and tons of summer related crafts. Mrs Tanika in the young kids room Is THE BEST Person I could have ever asked for in a provider. She is the most amazing teacher, she is super sweet, great with my youngest daughter, and she sends home daily reports so even when I can't be there I still feel involved with my kid. Only thing that made this not a 5 was their nutrition, you aren't supposed to bring your own food but the stuff they provide has less nutrition than what we would prefer they eat (we may be extreme). They do have a menu posted so you can see what your kids eat.

Since starting here, our son's creativity has absolutely exploded. He actually wants to paint, draw, and do crafts on his own at home now--something he never showed much interest in before. The classroom decor is always changing and full of the children's artwork and faces. It's not just cute, it's intentional--you can see that the teachers are actively improving and refreshing the environment to keep it engaging. The security is tight at this facility as one needs a code to enter and there is a sign in policy in place. The food is well balanced, and many times when I come in to drop off my children, the place smells delicious, bringing me thoughts of a warm home. The only improvements I would like to see is the development of structured schedules for grade school attendees during government holidays. They watch grade school-children during this time (even one Christmas Eve!) but their structure is pretty basic. However, I think this is due to lack of funding because the school charges a charitable economical price considerably under other centers in the same market. Moreover, the founder; Jane Ashley, is an incredibly generous person. She is always willing to help with school payment plans and is there until 6:00 or after. There have been a few times that I was unable to arrive for pick up until after 6, as my schedule is a late one and the staff was there without judgement. Although those statements are not a waiver to abuse the staff's time; it simply reflects their perceptive approach and sacrifice to care of my children. I would recommend this school to anyone. My wife and I decided to place our daughter in Goddard. Why? Because we're smart [I think so]. There are many things to share about Goddard. The education was/is great, but there were little extra things that brought my wife and I mental comfort. Leaving your kid(s) with other people....at a place, can be weird. Not at Goddard. No odd smells, sticky surfaces, odd interactions with staff; education, order, structure, and fun was in the air. There's nothing but positives, but a few items of personal interest pop out in my mind. Communication. We were always consulted in advance of our child's progress through written documentation and daily reports via the Tadpoles App. I didn't really know the power of the application, but it was comforting and very informative. As parents, of course, we all wonder what happens to our kid(s) when they're not in our presence - normal. What the Tadpoles App did, was to allow parents to check the status of drop-off/pick-up times, daily activities, see pics, see videos, get notes from teachers, reminders, and much more. The impressive thing, the teachers were fantastic at keeping [us] parents informed using technology - EVERY DAY. Keep in mind, the use of this application wasn't the only thing Goddard did extremely well at. At The Goddard School, there is obviously a focus on learning, but the school as a whole has a very wide range of activities throughout the year. YOU will see and be IMPRESSED! Teachers and parents [us] were in constant communication no matter the circumstance. If my child did well or needed more improvement at home in an area of weakness, I was happy to employ and reinforce practices that helped the teachers during their day with our child.
