It's $125/ month for access to glorified obstacle course twice a week. They are not being taught specific moves, i.e. kicks, punches, stances; only running through courses and playing tag-like games. We joined to help my child learn discipline and focus and then he was kicked out for lacking these skills. He DID NOT receive the consistency, challenge, and coordination development I was hoping for! (You can't ask a child to be disciplined while playing chase). Instructors need to revisit curriculum and developmentally appropriate approaches for four year olds. Overall, weird vibe with these guys at Premier Martial Arts. We will be trying other places in Denton!

Hello, I am a former employee of this studio. I trained for 6 years, I started running summer camps…read moreat 12 and was hired on my 14 birthday. I was a instructor for 3 years. I was also the first girl to be nominated into black belt club. I am finally able to leave a review of what a honest disgrace to taekwondo this place is. Amanda and Kevin Nevels are conniving people. They preach morals and respect. I worked at this studio for 2-3 days a week every week for 4 years (Not including taking my own classes.) I was payed minimum minimum wage for a very hard and life centered job. I did a lot for this studio including bring in THOUSANDS of dollars on summer camps where i was payed 200. They didn't even run them mind you It was the instructors ideas,time,energy, and effort. I finally got a raise my last two months working there. (11/hr) I was also told my new job wouldn't care about me and would pay me less. I'm now being considered for a manger position I started on 12/hr + 3/hr in tips. (Feels nice to be appreciated) Amanda and Kevin Nevels claim this is a family. They do not care. I can't put it any simpler. THEY D O N T C A R E!!!! I was hospitalized for an eating disorder in 2020. It was obvious I was sick I lost over 50 pounds in a span of 2-3 months. I looked like a dead man walking. I never once got a call or text or even acknowledge when I was in the hospital. They didn't reach out and they didn't bother to reach out to my parents either. I was AGAIN hospitalized in 2022 and what do you know? Not a single thing. Not even a hoe are you? or we miss you. Let's now talk about this "clean" studio. When I tell you how disgusting this studio is. The amount of roaches i've had to kill is absolutely insane. The mats are cleaned once a week and the water is always black. The bathrooms are NEVER cleaned. They never wipe anything off which would be common sense because people bleed,sweat,snot, and spit all over everything. Oh not including everyone's bare feet. Also these tournaments are a huge waste of money. I truly believe that it's rigged ( not proven )It's mind boggling that they wanted a 14 year old to work 10+ hours with no break for FREE! These people make thousands and they disrespect there employees and give them the bare minimum. These are the same people who check how much y'all's christmas gifts are to see if there "worthy" enough to take home. Amanda and Kevin bought the studio from people who stole from y'all! How much did y'all have to pay people back again? This entire studio is built on a lie. I started when I was 11. I dreamed of being an instructor just like most of your kids. My family joined, many of you know Ms.Muscle and Mr.Muscle. The way they humiliated and treated my dad like a dog breaks my heart. If there's one thing I can tell you about studio is that it's the most disheartening place i've ever been. A place I used to call home now filled with an instructor who is at a GROWN age and brags abt injuring everyone he spars.( I thought we don't teach this behavior?? Nick Davis who is the definition of a walking joke. I can't wait for Kaylnn to finally be recognized and honored for her work. I did it for the kids for as long as I could. Below I will leave some more thoughts I wrote after I quit the studio.
