Expensive and poor customer service. I asked Brittany for a full refund of my $200 deposit when my wedding date in August 2020 changed by one week and Brittany was not available. She said no due to her policy and I accepted that but asked that she apply it to a bride trial instead since I couldn't use her on my big day and I wanted to get my money's worth. Nope. She refused. She said I need to use her company on my wedding day even if she was unavailable. Who does that? I told her that I was using someone else and that I would like to apply it to a bride trial which was totally reasonable and unfortunately, that was too much to ask from Brittany even though the wedding was 10 months away. I cannot speak highly enough about Elite Makeup Designs. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding that booked her services and I was so in love with my hair/makeup that day, I booked her for my own wedding the following year. Brittany and her team cranked out 10 bridesmaids, a mom and a grandma like it was no challenge at all. Everyone absolutely LOVED how they looked. The whole team really understood how to balance making you look your best but without overdoing your makeup/hair to the point that you don't even look like yourself. During my trial, I showed Brittany pinterest pics of what I wanted and she understood exactly what to do. When she had me look in the mirror, I didn't have to request a single change. I felt more beautiful than I ever could have imagined! I researched a lot of hair/makeup teams and not only do I feel Elite Makeup Designs was the best quality, they definitely had the fairest pricing as well. So many other businesses charge $20-30 extra for airbrush makeup and another $20-$30 extra for fake lashes; Brittany includes those in her service pricing and her prices were STILL lower than the others... On that note, I've seen artists who use airbrush and it either comes out cakey or the color doesn't match the neck and chest. I've had Brittany do my airbrush makeup 3 times now and it always came out so perfect. She even gave my cleavage a little shadowing-boost ;) .... And regarding false lashes, anyone who's ever had them knows these are a must. Brittany uses the individual clusters rather than the large strip. This means that she can add as few or as many as you'd like. I even kept mine on through the night AFTER our wedding when we saw Coldplay! Just as important as the quality of service, was the team's friendliness and kindness. I hadn't slept well the night before which caused me to wake up very stressed. Brittany was so kind and reassuring, I instantly forgot how tired I was once I got in that chair... although my mimosa probably helped with that too ;) Having a hair and make-up artist with a bright smile and friendly personality makes the morning that much more fun! read more
